Ride-Hailing Assignment Problem under Waiting Time Uncertainty using Interval-Valued Fuzzy Quadratic

Ride-hailing is a creative idea created by transportation supported by science and technology. Ride-hailing services can help daily community activities. The issue with ride-hailing is that traffic conditions are unpredictable, implying that waiting times are uncertain. The time passengers spend waiting from when they book a ride service until the driver arrives at the pick-up location is called waiting time. This study suggests a quadratic programming technique for minimizing waiting time while accounting for the unpredictability of pick-up travel time. The interval-valued fuzzy quadratic programming method handles the uncertainty and imprecision of the anticipated journey time. When allocating drivers to pick up passengers, interval-valued fuzzy numbers can provide a more realistic representation of waiting time uncertainty. As a result, the interval-valued fuzzy quadratic programming model can handle the uncertainty in waiting time for ride-hailing assignment problems. The model\u27s performance is evaluated using waiting time and the number of people served. The model\u27s performance is demonstrated numerically using the simulation-based case study. This study shows how to utilize a mathematical method to solve real-world problems with uncertainty and improve user welfare

Comparing continuous and dichotomous scoring of the balanced inventory of desirable responding

    No full text
The Balanced Inventory of Desirable Responding (BIDR; Paulhus, 1994) is a widely used instrument to measure the 2 components of social desirability: self-deceptive enhancement and impression management. With respect to scoring of the BIDR, Paulhus (1994) authorized 2 methods, namely continuous scoring (all answers on the continuous answer scale are counted) and dichotomous scoring (only extreme answers are counted). In this article, we report 3 studies with student samples, and continuous and dichotomous scoring of BIDR subscales are compared with respect to reliability, convergent validity, sensitivity to instructional variations, and correlations with personality. Across studies, the scores from continuous scoring (continuous scores) showed higher Cronbach's alphas than those from dichotomous scoring (dichotomous scores). Moreover, continuous scores showed higher convergent correlations with other measures of social desirability and more consistent effects with self-presentation instructions (fake-good vs. fake-bad instructions). Finally, continuous self-deceptive enhancement scores showed higher correlations with those traits of the Five-factor model for which substantial correlations were expected (i.e., Neuroticism, Extraversion, and Conscientiousness). Consequently, these findings indicate that continuous scoring may be preferable to dichotomous scoring when assessing socially desirable responding with the BID

Strategic and systematic da'wah management for da'wah activities make Islam will experience a development. In case one of the da'wah institutions that require established management is a pesantren. Pesantren is one of the pillars of the Islamic struggle that has contributed greatly to religion as well as state. Hadi Mulya mentions pesantren as a cultural institution to develop a culture that has its own characteristics but also open itself to outside influences (Mulya, 1985: 99). The author conducts qualitative descriptive research. The process of searching data through three steps of data collection is through (1) observation to a number of related events and objects, (2) documentation related activities at Pondok Pesantren Robbi Rodliyya Semarang, (3) interviews with key personalities. The results showed that First, the implementation of boarding school management Robbi Rodliyya Banjardowo District Genuk Semarang City in the field of appropriate technology by planning, organizing, mobilizing and supervising the development of resources santri is good enough and professional. Ride-Hailing Matching with Uncertain Travel Time: A Novel Interval-Valued Fuzzy Multi-Objective Linear Programming Approach

    No full text
This study introduces an innovative approach to tackle multi-objective linear programming (MOLP) problems amidst uncertainty, employing interval-valued fuzzy numbers. The method is tailored to resolve ride-hailing matching challenges encompassing uncertain travel times. Findings reveal that managing uncertainty parameters within interval-valued fuzzy MOLP is achieved through strategic reformulations, focusing on constraint coefficients, resulting in streamlined linear programming formulations conducive to solution simplicity. The efficacy of the proposed model in efficiently handling ride-hailing matching quandaries is demonstrated. Moreover, this study delves into the prospective applications of the developed method, including its potential for generalization to address non-linear programming (NLP) issues pertinent to the ride-hailing domain. This research advances decision-making processes under uncertainty and paves the way for broader applications beyond ride-hailing

Nurse leader competency development in a behavioral health setting

    No full text
Purpose of the Project : Nurses frequently assume leadership roles by default or experience, often without formal role development. Identifying nurse leader competencies and providing formal nurse leader development is critical to prepare competent leaders to navigate workforce challenges in this evolving healthcare environment. Leadership competency development is inconsistent at the project site. The purpose of this project is to engage front-line nurses in creating a professional development plan to enhance leadership competencies. Methodology : The plan-do-study-act quality improvement process was utilized to implement a formal nurse leader competency development project at a behavioral health hospital. Six front-line nurses with three or more years of nursing experience responded to recruitment efforts to participate in leadership competency development by completing a preprogram assessment, a professional development plan, online leadership competency modules as well as a post-program assessment. An overall program evaluation survey was also administered to collect participant demographic information. Results : All six participants completed the required program activities. Competencies developed from the project site's proprietary behavioral competency model were building networks, communicating effectively, driving engagement, developing talent, managing conflict, and persuades. Results showed a one to three point increase from each participant’s pre assessment score to post assessment score in the behavioral competency they chose for development. Implications for Practice Findings from this initiative indicate that an organizational strategy that prioritizes the development of nurse leader competencies can improve potential nurse leader competency and ensure a pipeline of future nurse leaders within the organization.D.N.P.Includes bibliographical reference
