    Bahasa dan Pengobatan Tradisional dalam Masyarakat Batak Toba: Kajian Antropolinguistik

    This thesis titled Language and Traditional treatment in Toba Batak Language: Study Antropolinguitic. The purpose of this study were 1) to analyze the form of traditional medicine in the language Batak Toba 2) To find tradition of traditional medicine in the language Batak Toba 3) To find the local knowledge of traditional medicine in Toba Batak language. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data used to support the research taken by interview and observation. The theory is used to study the tradition of traditional medicine in Toba Batak language is a theory antropolinguistik that focuses on performance, indexicality, participation by applying three parameters, interconnection, valuability and sustainability (continuity). These results indicate the language of traditional medicine in Toba Batak language is the language of the form primary/basic words, repeated words, phrases containing marker ni categorized Momina ie objects and noun phrases. Language in the processing and treatment based on the form which forms the base/word dasa categories of verbs and verb word category. Performance of traditional medicine in Batak society is the activity/treatment process while praying for such treatment. Participation, the party who helps manage and treat the sick. Indeksikalitas reflected in the treatment of prayer, the prayer contains pronouns demonstration on (this) and pronouns self- hu. Pronoun on (this) in the prayer refers to pharmaceuticals to treat diseases, while pronouns self- hu as a sign that refers to the disease experienced sipenderita as a sign of connectedness between pharmaceuticals with disease. Connectedness is reflected in steps, size/dose of medication treatment processes and norms or rules to be followed by the public in the use of traditional medicine. Kebernilaian traditional medicine in Batak society that values health, social value, religious values, the value of environmental care, economic value. Sustainability, in general, traditional medicine is still used, especially parents but suffered the loss for young children.     Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa melalui metode pembelajaran Cooperatif Learning Tipe Zigsaw pada sub tema tumbuhan sahabatku kelas VI SD RK Nomor 3 Sibolga. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research). Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan kolaborasi antara peneliti, guru dan melibatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas VI SD RK Nomor 3 Sibolga tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan angket sederhana. Prosedur penelitian meliputi tahap: (a) perencanaan tindakan, (b) pelaksanaan tindakan, (c) observasi dan interpretasi, dan (d) analisis dan refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, metode pembelajaran Cooperatif Learning Tipe Zigsaw dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Penerapan metode pembelajaran Cooperatif Learning Tipe Zigsaw Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tindakan kelas yang telah dilakukan di kelas VI SD RK Nomor 3 Sibolga dapat disimpulan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif Jigsaw dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada sub tema tumbuhan sahabatku.     Application of Google Classroom Media to Improve Social Studies Learning Outcomes The Environmental Theme of Our Friends in Class V of Elementary School

    This study aims to determine the use of the Google Classroom application on social studies learning outcomes theme 8 Neighborhoods of Our Friends for class V SDN 091329 Bahpasunsang. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles in which each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data collection technique used is observation and test of learning outcomes. The results showed that in the pre-test of 33 students there were 33 students (100%) who did not reach the level of mastery learning with a class average of 22.2, then in the first cycle, 16 people (48.5%) students who achieved the level of complete learning with an average value of 55.6 while students who did not complete as many as 17 people (51.5%). In the second cycle as many as 32 people (94%) students who reached the level of mastery learning with an average value of 85.8 and 2 people (6%) students who did not complete. Thus, it can be concluded that Google Classroom-Based Blended Learning can improve student learning outcomes in social studies lessons with the theme Our Friendship Environment in Grade V Elementary School. As a follow-up, it is suggested for teachers to be able to design and use Google Classroom-Based Blended Learning in improving students' social studies learning outcomes

    PREPOSITIONAL INCORPORATION IN TOBA BATAKNESE LANGUAGE

    The purpose of this study is to describe the process of combining prepositions, the rules of combining prepositions, and the forms of prepositions in the Toba Bataknese language. This study used a descriptive-qualitative method whose data are in the forms of texts. The techniques for data analysis include removal, replacement, insertion of reversals, and changes occurrence. The results; of this study; indicate that; the combination of prepositions in Toba Bataknese language can be seen from the movement of prepositions in verbs. The emergence of the suffixes -i and -hon in verbs has changed the argument structure of intransitive verbs into transitive verbs. Likewise, transitive verbs change into ditransitive verbs. The changes in the structure of the verb arguments consist of (1) Subj - V (intr) - Obl à Subj - V (tr) - Obj; (2) Subj - V (tr) - Obj - Obl à Subj - V (dtr) - Obj - Cho. The prepositional forms combined with Toba Bataknese verbs can be divided into two types, namely (1) prepositional forms that change into the suffix -i and (2) prepositional forms that change into the suffix -hon. The prepositional forms that change into the suffix -i in the birth structure are di (in) and tu (to), while the prepositional forms that change into the suffix -hon are tu (to/for) and sian (from)

    Abstrak: Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas XI SMA Methodist IV Medan. Tujuan pelaksanaan PkM ini adalah (1) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan siswa mengenai prosedur penulisan puisi dengan teknik akrostik; (2) Meningkatkan kreativitas menulis siswa khususnya menulis puisi dengan teknik akrostik. Subjek dalam kegiatan PkM ini ialah siswa-siswi kelas XI SMA Methodist IV Medan yang berjumlah 30 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah metode demonstrasi dan metode ceramah. Dalam menjelaskan materi berupa hakikat puisi akrostik dan mekanisme penulisan puisi dengan teknik akrostik digunakan metode ceramah. Dalam praktik menulis puisi dengan teknik akrostik digunakan metode demonstrasi. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dapat terlaksana dengan baik tidak terlepas dari dukungan beberapa unsur yaitu LPPM sebagai lembaga penyedia dana kegiatan pelatihan, kepala sekolah, wakil kepada sekolah, serta para guru sebagai mitra yang memfasilitasi pelaksanaan pelatihan, serta para siswa kelas XI SMA Methodist IV yang sangat antusias mengikuti pelatihan. Hasil dari pelatihan ini adalah siswa secara keseluruhan mampu menulis puisi dengan teknik akrostik. Hasil ini dapat dibuktikan dari nilai rata-rata 79 dengan jumlah skor 2364 dan hasil tersebut termasuk dalam kategori baik.Abstract:  This Community Service (PkM) was carried out on class XI students of SMA Methodist IV Medan. The objectives of this PkM implementation are (1) to increase students' understanding and knowledge of the procedures for writing poetry using acrostic techniques; (2) Improving students' writing creativity, especially writing poetry with acrostic techniques. The subjects in this PkM activity were students of class XI SMA Methodist IV Medan, totaling 30 people. The method used in this training is the demonstration method and the lecture method. In explaining the material in the form of the nature of acrostic poetry and the mechanism of writing poetry with acrostic techniques, the lecture method is used. In the practice of writing poetry with acrostic techniques, demonstration methods are used. This training activity can be carried out properly and cannot be separated from the support of several elements, namely LPPM as an institution that provides funding for training activities, school principals, representatives to schools, and teachers as partners who facilitate the implementation of the training, as well as students of class XI SMA Methodist IV who are very enthusiastic. attend training. The result of this training is that overall students are able to write poetry with acrostic techniques. This result can be proven from the average value of 79 with a total score of 2364 and these results are included in the good category

    The Utilization of Animation Media on Wortschatz Learning Outcomes and Motivation of Undergraduate Students of German Language

    The aim of the research was to see how effective learning media in terms of wortschatz learning outcomes and German students' motivation to learn. The research method used was, a quasi-experiment with One Group Pretest-Posttest. Essay tests and a motivation questionnaire are among the research instruments. The Researche use one quesetion for essay test and use twelve questions for motivation questionnaire.  The  showed that animation media can improve learning by increasing their wortschatz learning outcomes and motivation. This is shown by t-test results with sig. 0.000 and count -12.43. The application of animation media improves students' motivation to learn. with a sig. of 0.000, the  gives a  of -14.72

    Development of Interactive Organic Chemistry E-Module Using Macromedia Flash Improves Concept Mastery

    This study was examining to produce e-modules as teaching materials in interactive organic chemistry courses using macromedia flash through the development process and determine the effect of interactive organic chemistry e-modules using macromedia flash on student concept mastery. This research method is development research known as Research and Development (R & D) Borg and Gall model with the following research stages, 1) Preliminary Study, 2) Planning, 3) Initial product development, 4) Small-scale field test, 5 ) Revision of small-scale field test results, 6) Main field test, 7) Revision of main field test results, 8) Operational field test, 9) Final product revision, and 10) Product implementation. The research instrument was a questionnaire with 33 statements and a multiple choice written test with 20 questions. The instrument was used to measure the category of interactive organic chemistry e-module interpretation using macromedia flash through the development stages using a questionnaire based on language, material and media aspects and to measure students\u27 conceptual mastery using a multiple-choice written test. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the interactive organic chemistry e-module using macromedia flash through the development stages was in the very good category with a score of 3.6. The hypothesis test of this research was obtained that the value of sig (2-tailed) was 0.000 < 0.05, this means that there is an effect of implementing an interactive organic chemistry e-module using macromedia flash as a result of development on concept mastery. The amount of increase that occurs in the mastery of students\u27 concepts is 66.74%

    Teacher's Competence: Applying the Problem-Based Learning Model through Academic Supervision

    This study aimed to improve the professional competence of Indonesian language teachers in applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model at State Senior High School 1 Muara. This research is a Classroom Action Research involving 6 Indonesian language teachers. The research was conducted in two cycles, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Aspects measured in the observations were teacher teaching performance, teacher interaction with researchers, interaction with other Indonesian language subject teachers, collaboration with other teachers, making lesson plans, learning processes, evaluating the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL). From the data analysis, it was found that there was an increase in teacher activity and competence in implementing the PBL model. In the initial condition, from 54.00 (criteria for poor score) increased to 66.00 (criteria for sufficient value) and 76.00 (criteria for good value). In the aspect of learning implementation, the average score of 55.21 (criteria for low scores) increased to 65.43 (sufficient value criteria) and 75.43 (good value criteria) in the second cycle. In the aspect of assessment of learning outcomes, from an average of 53.58 (criteria for poor scores) to 65.42 (criteria for good scores) and 77.42 (criteria for good scores). Also, in the aspect of classroom management from 54.00 enough and 75.83 ( good grade criteria). From the results above, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model with academic supervision has been proven to improve the professional competence of teachers in managing the learning proces

    Participants in this multimode socialization activity were the teachers of SD Negeri No. 122372 Pematangsiantar, totaling 10 people. This socialization activity was carried out on Monday-Tuesday, 23-24 October 2018 starting at 09.00 WIB. This socialization activity aims to: (1) provide knowledge to teachers of SD Negeri No. 122372 Pematangsiantar nature and stages of implementation of multimodel in learning; (2) increase the creativity of SD Negeri No. 122372 Pematangsiantar in the learning process in the classroom. The method of implementing Community Service Activities is carried out in the form of socialization and direct practice in the classroom. This multimodel socialization activity has been carried out well according to the schedule of activities, starting from the initial, core and final activities. In general, teachers have been able to apply multimodel in learning according to the first phase to the fifth phase. This can be proven from 10 respondents 24.04% voted strongly agree that the use of multi-models in learning is very important and useful, while 75.96% said they agreed that the use of multi-models in learning is very important and useful.    &nbsp
