    How Do the TWO STAY TWO STRAY and Motivation Model Learning Affect Civic Education Result?

    The teacher-centered approach has led students to feel bored and uninterested in the taught material. By choosing an appropriate learning model, it is hoped that a better understanding and interest in students will emerge, fostering a deep learning motivation. In this study, the chosen learning models were Two Stay Two Stray and Inquiry. The objectives of this research were: 1) to determine the difference in Civic Education learning outcomes between student groups taught with the Two Stay Two Stray and Inquiry learning models, 2) to examine the difference in Civic Education learning outcomes between student groups with high and low learning motivation, and 3) to investigate the interaction between the learning model and learning motivation in influencing Civic Education learning outcomes. The research was conducted at SDN 091713 Amborokan, involving fourth-grade students as the research sample. The research method employed was experimental research, utilizing a 2x2 factorial design. There were two classes involved in the study: an experimental class (IV-A) and a control class (IV-B). Data collected included Civic Education learning outcomes and student motivation data. The results of the research indicated that: 1. the learning strategy significantly influenced Civic Education learning outcomes with an F value of 58.775, 2. learning motivation significantly influenced Civic Education learning outcomes with an F value of 92.04, and 3. there was an interaction between the learning strategy and learning motivation significantly affecting Civic Education learning outcomes with an F value of 4.09. This study concludes that the selection of an appropriate learning model positively influences learning outcomes and motivation in students. It is recommended that teachers, as facilitators, should be capable of choosing suitable teaching methods to create an effective learning environment

    Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pola asuh orang tua dalam membentuk karakter anak usia 5-6 tahun di Desa Tambunan Sunge Kecamatan Balige Kabupaten Toba. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 7 anak yang berusia 5-6 tahun beserta orang tua dari ketujuh anak di Desa Tambunan Sunge Kecamatan Balige Kabupaten Toba. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan Kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pola asuh yang diterapkan orang tua dalam membentuk karakter anak usia 5-6 tahun di Desa Tambunan Sunge Kecamatan Balige Kabupaten Toba, adalah pola asuh otoriter, pola asuh demokratis, dan pola asuh permisif

    Contribution of Work Discipline, Motivation, Work, and Work Environment to Teacher Performance

    The aim of this research is to analyze the contribution of: (1) work discipline to teacher performance; (2) work motivation to teacher performance; (3) work environment to performance; and (4) discipline, work motivation, and work environment simultaneously to teacher performance. The research was carried out at state elementary schools in Rantau Utara District, Labuhanbatu Regency. The research population was 396 teachers, and the research sample was 162 teachers. The sampling technique employed in the study involved the use of Isaac and Michael tables along with probability sampling methods. The results of research on simultaneous performance are 80.51%, 3.74%, and 15.76%, meaning that work discipline is the most dominant factor in influencing teacher performance. Teachers who are disciplined in carrying out their duties, show high commitment, are able to manage their time well, and comply with established rules and procedures. Even though the percentage is small, work motivation is an important factor in improving teacher performance. Teachers who have high work motivation will be encouraged to work more enthusiastically, creatively, and innovatively in teaching. A conducive and supportive work environment can help improve teacher performance by providing adequate facilities and infrastructure, creating a positive work atmosphere, and providing opportunities for teachers to develop themselves professionally. Teachers who demonstrate a high level of work discipline tend to contribute to increased performance in carrying out tasks; teachers who have work motivation tend to contribute positively to increased teacher performance; and a conducive work environment tends to contribute to increased overall teacher performance

    Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Aplikasi Qr Code Generator untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Bahasa Inggris Siswa Taman Kanak-Kanak

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas media pembelajaran, kelayakan media pembelajaran dan mengetahui efektifitas media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi QR Code Generator terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Inggris siswa TK. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan dengan teknik diskusi dan interview dalam mengumpulkan informasi dengan pendekatan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penilaian kelayan media QR Code Generator yang dikembangkan pada skala baik (75% ≤ X < 85%) hingga sangat baik (85% ≤ X ≤ 100%). Hasil evaluasi pembelajaran menunjukan peningkatan secara signifikan (p = 0,000799 < 0,05) untuk ketiga parameter yang dinilai, yakni: penilaian hasil pembelajaran, tingkat antusiasme/kesukaan, dan tingkat kepuasan sebelum (pre-test) dan sesudah (post-test) pembelajaran berbasis media aplikasi QR Code Generator. Nilai kenaikan akumulatif berdasarkan skala Likert (1-5) juga terlihat dari nilai rata-rata sebesar 1,7 (skala ‘tidak baik’) dengan metode belajar konvensional (pre-test) menjadi rata-rata 4,04 (skala ‘lebih baik’) dengan metode belajar berbasis media aplikasi QR Code Generator

    This study aims to find and analyze the influence of WhatsApp social media on conflict management at SMA Santo Thomas 2 Medan. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive design to describe the relationship between WhatsApp use and conflict dynamics between students. Data were collected through closed questionnaires distributed to 60 grade X students selected using stratified random sampling techniques. The research instrument has been tested for validity and reliability to ensure measurement accuracy. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant influence of WhatsApp use and conflict management, with a contribution of 33% to the variation in conflict management in schools. In conclusion, WhatsApp can play a positive role in helping communication and accelerating conflict resolution if used wisely. These findings are expected to be a reference for schools in managing social media to create a healthy communication environment.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan dan menganalisis bagaimana media sosial WhatsApp mempengaruhi pengelolaan konflik di SMA Santo Thomas 2 Medan. Sangat penting untuk memahami pengaruh platform komunikasi seperti WhatsApp yang semakin populer di kalangan siswa di era teknologi saat ini terhadap dinamika sosial di sekolah. Dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada siswa, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data untuk mengetahui bagaimana mereka menggunakan WhatsApp setiap hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana WhatsApp membantu berkomunikasi, mempercepat penyelesaian konflik, dan menemukan masalah potensial seperti kesalahpahaman atau eskalasi konflik.     The Effect of Transformational Leadership and Locus of Control Toward the Job Satisfaction of Educator on HKBP Private Highschool in North Sumatra

    This study aims to answer the question posed, namely 1) the effect of transformational leadership on job satisfaction of educators, and 2) the effect of locus of control on job satisfaction of educators at HKBP Private High School in North Sumatra Province. The population on this study was 292 educators at HKBP Private High School with total sample of 131 people were taken by using Proportional Random Sampling Technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire by using Likert scale. The research data were processed and analyzed by using SPSS program. The result of analysis shows there is a direct influence of transformational leadership on job satisfaction of educators with path coefficient of 0.188, and the direct effect of locus of control on job satisfaction of educators at 0.213 of educators at HKBP Private high school in North Sumatra Province becomes more higher. The implication of this study explain that in order to improve the job satisfaction of educators, it needs to be done many efforts to improve the effectiveness of transformational leadership of principals and locus of control. Some efforts can be undertaken include self-evaluation, education and training of transformational leadership development of the principals, and locus of control personality development of educators

    Enhancing Kindergarten Teachers’ Competence through an Innovative Training Management Model

    Abstracts: Importance of the Research: The success of digital learning is closely tied to improved learning performance, largely influenced by kindergarten teachers who employ effective teaching strategies and embrace digital learning. Objective: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of an integrated digital literacy training management model, combining online training teachers and teaching practice teachers, in enhancing the pedagogical competence of kindergarten teachers. Method: A prospective cross-sectional interventional study was conducted with baseline and re-survey evaluations. Seventy participants were selected through simple random sampling. The training program lasted five days, focusing on digital literacy and teaching practices. Competence levels were measured using a structured questionnaire and analyzed through an independent t-test with SPSS software.Results: The statistical analysis revealed that the integrated digital literacy training management model significantly improved the pedagogical competence of kindergarten teachers, with a p-value of 0.001, indicating strong efficacy.Conclusion: Managing digital literacy training effectively helps to develop more targeted and measurable training objectives. This integrated model presents a practical alternative for enhancing the professional competencies of kindergarten teachers. Impact: The findings show that combining online training and practical teaching significantly boosts pedagogical competence, providing a valuable framework for strengthening early childhood education through professional development
