    Measurement of the CP-violating phase \phi s in Bs->J/\psi\pi+\pi- decays

    No full text
    Measurement of the mixing-induced CP-violating phase phi_s in Bs decays is of prime importance in probing new physics. Here 7421 +/- 105 signal events from the dominantly CP-odd final state J/\psi pi+ pi- are selected in 1/fb of pp collision data collected at sqrt{s} = 7 TeV with the LHCb detector. A time-dependent fit to the data yields a value of phi_s=-0.019^{+0.173+0.004}_{-0.174-0.003} rad, consistent with the Standard Model expectation. No evidence of direct CP violation is found

    Using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6.32~fb1\rm fb^{-1} recorded by the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.178 and 4.226~GeV, an amplitude analysis of the decay Ds+π+π0π0D_{s}^{+} \to \pi^{+}\pi^{0}\pi^{0} is performed, and the relative fractions and phases of different intermediate processes are determined. The absolute branching fraction of the decay Ds+π+π0π0D_{s}^{+} \to \pi^{+}\pi^{0}\pi^{0} is measured to be (0.50±0.04stat±0.02syst)%(0.50\pm 0.04_{\text{stat}}\pm 0.02_{\text{syst}})\%. The absolute branching fraction of the intermediate process Ds+f0(980)π+,f0(980)π0π0D_{s}^{+} \to f_0(980)\pi^{+}, f_0(980)\to\pi^{0}\pi^{0} is determined to be (0.21±0.03stat±0.03syst)%(0.21\pm 0.03_{\text{stat}}\pm 0.03_{\text{syst}})\%

    Using e+ee^{+}e^{-} annihilation data corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 6.326.32 fb1^{-1} collected at the center-of-mass energies between 4.178 and 4.226 GeV with the BESIII detector, we perform an amplitude analysis of the decay Ds+KK+π+π+πD^+_s \to K^-K^+\pi^+\pi^+\pi^- and determine the relative fractions and phases of different intermediate processes. Absolute branching fraction of Ds+KK+π+π+πD^+_s\to K^-K^+\pi^+\pi^+\pi^- decay is measured to be (6.60±0.47stat.±0.35syst.)×1036.60\pm0.47_{\rm stat.}\pm0.35_{\rm syst.})\times 10^{-3}. The dominant intermediate process is Ds+a1(1260)+ϕ,ϕKK+,a1(1260)+ρπ+,ρπ+πD_{s}^{+} \to a_1(1260)^+\phi, \phi\to K^-K^+, a_1(1260)^+\to \rho\pi^+, \rho\to\pi^+\pi^-, with a branching fraction of (5.16±0.41stat.±0.27syst.)×103(5.16\pm0.41_{\rm stat.}\pm0.27_{\rm syst.})\times 10^{-3}

    Evaluation of glutathione S-transferase Pi in non-invasive ductal carcinoma of breast

    No full text
    Glutathione S-transferase Pi (GST P) has been reported to be a marker of dysplastic lesions. For this reason expression of GST P by intraduct breast carcinoma was evaluated by immunohistochemistry. Thirty-seven of 92 carcinomas (40%) were GST P positive. GST P staining did not correlate with histological variables, c-erbB-2 overexpression or with clinical outcome. The GST P status of recurrences did not correlate with that of the index lesion. There is little evidence that GST P is a useful marker of the potential of intraduct breast carcinoma to become invasive.Peer reviewe

    Using 355 pb(-1) of data collected by the CDF II detector in p (p) over bar at collisions at root s = 1.96 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron, we study the fully reconstructed hadronic decays B-(s)(0) -> D-(s)(-)pi(+) and B-(s)(0) -> D-(s)(-) pi(+)pi(+)pi(-). We present the first measurement of the ratio of branching fractions B(B-s(0) -> D-s(-) pi(+)pi(+)pi(-))/B(B-0 -> D-s(-) pi(+)pi(+)pi(-)) = 1.05 +/- 0.10(stat) +/- 0.22(syst). We also update our measurement of B(B-s(0) -> D-s(-)pi(+))/B(B-0 -> D-pi(+)) to 1.13 +/- 0.08(stat) +/- 0.23(syst), improving the statistical uncertainty by more than a factor of 2. We find B(B-s(0) -> D-s(-)pi(+)) = [3.8 +/- 0.3(stat) +/- 1.3(syst)] x 10(-3) and B(B-s(0) -> D-s(-) pi(+)pi(+)pi(-)) = [8.4 +/- 0.8 (stat) +/- 3.2(syst)] x 10(-3)

    The singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay Ds+K+π+ππ0D_{s}^{+} \to K^+\pi^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{0} is observed, using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6.32 fb1\rm fb^{-1} recorded by the BESIII detector at the centre-of-mass energies between 4.178 and 4.226 GeV. The first amplitude analysis of Ds+K+π+ππ0D_{s}^{+} \to K^+\pi^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{0} reveals the sub-structures in this decay and determines the fractions and relative phases of different intermediate processes. The dominant intermediate process is Ds+K0ρ+D_s^+ \to K^{*0}\rho^+, with a fit fraction of (40.5±2.8stat.±1.5syst.)%(40.5\pm2.8_{\rm{stat.}}\pm1.5_{\rm{syst.}})\%. With the detection efficiency based on our amplitude analysis, the absolute branching fraction for Ds+K+π+ππ0D_{s}^{+} \to K^+\pi^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{0} is measured to be (9.75±0.54stat.±0.17syst.)×103(9.75\pm0.54_{\rm{stat.}}\pm0.17_{\rm{syst.}})\times 10^{-3}

    Measurement of Gamma(K-S ->pi(+)pi(-)(gamma))/Gamma(K-S ->pi(0)pi(0))

    No full text
    We have measured the ratio R-S(pi) = Gamma(K-S --> pi(+)pi(-)(gamma))/Gamma(K-S --> pi(0)pi(0)) with the KLOE detector at the DAPhiNE e(+)e(-) collider. This measurement is fully inclusive with respect to the pi(+)pi(-)gamma final state. The sample of over 106 two-pion decays of tagged K-S mesons allows a statistical error as low as similar to 0.1% to be obtained. The accuracy is limited by systematic uncertainties, which are estimated primarily from data. We find R-S(pi) = 2.236 +/- 0.003(stat) +/- 0.015(syst). (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. First measurement of T\boldsymbol{T}-odd moments in D0KS0π+ππ0\boldsymbol{D^{0} \rightarrow K_{S}^{0} \pi^{+} \pi^{-} \pi^{0}} decays

    No full text
    We report the first measurement of the TT-odd moments in the decay D0KS0π+ππ0D^{0} \rightarrow K_{S}^{0} \pi^{+} \pi^{-} \pi^{0} from a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 966fb1966\,{\rm fb}^{-1} collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+ee^+ e^- collider. From these moments we determine the CPCP-violation-sensitive asymmetry aCPT-odd=[0.28±1.38 (stat.)0.76+0.23 (syst.)]×103a_{CP}^{T\text{-odd}} = \left[-0.28 \pm 1.38 ~(\rm{stat.}) ^{+0.23}_{-0.76} ~(\rm{syst.})\right] \times 10^{-3}, which is consistent with no CPCP violation. In addition, we perform aCPT-odda_{CP}^{T\text{-odd}} measurements in different regions of the D0KS0π+ππ0D^{0} \rightarrow K_{S}^{0} \pi^{+} \pi^{-} \pi^{0} phase space; these are also consistent with no CPCP violation
