L’évaluation de l’enseignement des sciences infirmières en milieu clinique : des compétences à développer, plutôt que des comportements à prioriser
Le but premier de cet article est de préciser l’intention du processus d’évaluation de l’enseignement clinique, c’est-à-dire les éléments pouvant constituer l’objet de l’évaluation et ce, à partir des perceptions des professeures et des étudiantes en soins infirmiers. Une approche qualitative a été retenue pour analyser les données recueillies auprès des participantes. Les résultats indiquent que l’évaluation de l’enseignement clinique en sciences infirmières devrait être basée sur cinq compétences principales : (a) humaine, (b) pédagogique, (c) technique, (d) professionnelle infirmière et (e) organisationnelle. Ces compétences principales sont concrétisées par des compétences satellites, à leur tour explicitées par des indicateurs.This article presents an investigation of the objective targeted in the evaluation process in the area of clinical teaching, that is, those elements that compose what is being evaluated, specifically based on the perceptions of teachers and students in nursing. The author uses a qualitative approach to analyze data obtained from participants. The results show that clinical teaching evaluation in nursing should be based on five principal competencies : a) humane, b) pedagogical, c) technical, d) professional nursing, e) organizational. These principal competencies are developed by satellite competencies, which are made explicit by indicators.El primer objetivo de este artículo es precisar la intención del proceso de evaluación de la enseñanza clínica, es decir los elementos que pueden constituir el objeto de la evaluación y esto, a partir de las percepciones de las profesoras y de las estudiantes en cuidados enfermeros. Un enfoque cualitativo fue elegido para analizar los datos colectados con los participantes. Los resultados indican que la evaluación de la enseñanza clínica en ciencias enfermeras debería ser basada sobre cinco competencias principales : (a) humana, (b) pedagógica, (c) técnica, (d) profesional enfermera y (e) organizacional. Estas competencias principales se concretan a través de unas competencias satélites, a su vez explicitadas por algunos indicadores
Experiencing Information Literacy in Second Life
Brave or naive, but aware of the research, teaching and play potential, the authors plunged into teaching part of an employee communication course at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia in Second Life, a virtual environment. Using the analytical tools of observational protocols, and discourse analysis of rhetorical accounts found in student and teacher reaction logs, discussion transcripts and focus group interviews, we situated ourselves among the learners to explore the threshold concept of information literacy in our classroom in Second Life
‘Where to start?’: Considerations for faculty and librarians in delivering information literacy instruction for graduate students.
It is often assumed that incoming graduate students are information literate, yet many of them lack the skills needed to effectively organize and critically evaluate research. Supporting students in acquiring information literacy skills is a critical role for universities, as it improves the quality of student research and enhances their opportunities for lifelong learning. The literature in this area has focused on the partnership between librarians and course instructors, which has been shown to produce the most effective library instruction: however, additional research is needed concerning the collaborative approach to teaching information literacy to graduate students. The current study used action research to gather information on students’ perceptions of a blend of two methods of library instruction, a web-based tutorial and an in-class library instruction session. While few students indicated engagement with the online tutorial, most students appreciated the in-class session. Recommendations for information literacy instruction and further research are included

Estudo comparativo do desempenho em empresas de construção residencial de Fortaleza com diferentes níveis de investimento formal em qualidade

Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia de Produção.A pesquisa visa identificar o desempenho de empresas de construção residencial que apresentam diferentes níveis de investimento em qualidade. Um estudo comparativo foi feito entre quatro empresas associadas ao SINDUSCON-CE: 1) uma empresa certificada ISO 9000; 2) uma empresa que participa de programas de qualidade; 3) uma empresa cujos funcionários participaram de treinamentos operacionais; e 4) uma empresa considerada tradicional pelo mercado. Foram adotados alguns critérios para a escolha das empresas, tais como: tempo de atuação no mercado, quantidade de edificações em construção, quantidade de operários, perspectiva de lançamento de novos empreendimentos, entre outros. Nesse estudo foram utilizados três instrumentos de pesquisa: questionário respondido pelos diretos das empresas, entrevista com os funcionários e observação não participante. As empresas foram relacionadas de acordo com a difusão da qualidade em seu processo produtivo. Três variáveis foram consideradas: a qualidade no processo produtivo, formação dos empregados e integração dos componentes das empresas. O estudo apresentou um desnivelamento em relação à qualidade entre as empresas pesquisadas. A primeira empresa, apesar da certificação em qualidade, apresenta deficiências em alguns aspectos: investimento em treinamento, benchmarking, utilização de novas tecnologias e incentivo financeiro para funcionários. A segunda empresa apresentou conflitos entre diretores e funcionários evidenciados nas respostas do questionário e das entrevistas. A terceira empresa apresentou utilização de inovações tecnológicas, contudo, foi constatado que os treinamentos dos quais seus funcionários participaram deveu-se a iniciativas de um de seus engenheiros. A quarta empresa, apesar de não aplicar nenhuma ferramenta de qualidade, mantém seus funcionários motivados, utilizando formas próprias de ação. Finalmente, a pesquisa concluiu que a qualidade deve ser entendida como uma questão gerencial no âmbito das empresas de construção residencial

Aus Anlaß des Kongresses der "Deutsch-Pazifischen Gesellschaft" im Juni 1981 in Düsseldorf legt die Stadt- und Universitätsbibliothek Frankfuxt am Main ein Verzeichnis ihrer Bestände zum Raum "Neuguinea" vor . Dabei umfaßt der Katalog sowohl die Literatur zu "Papua-Neuguinea" (Niugini)" als auch zur indonesischen Provinz "West-Irian (Irian Jaya)". Aus Gründen des geographischen Zusammenhangs werden in einem Anhang allgemeine Publikationen zum Raum Melanesien in den Katalog aufgenommen. Die gezielte Sammlung der Literatur zu diesem Raum ist ein Ergebnis der Zuweisung des Sondersarnmelgebietes "Ozeanian" durch die Deutsche Forschungagemeinschaft an die Frankfurter Stadt- und Univeraitätsbibliothek. Dabei liegt der Schwerpunkt auf der Sammlung historischer und ethnologischer Literatur. Grundlage des Katalogausdruckes ist der Länderteil des Sachkataloges der Bibliothek, der nach feststehenden Länderkennziffern, Fachgruppen und Schlüsselnummern gegliedert ist. Unter jeder Schlüsselnummer sind die Eintragungen chronologisch geordnet. Auf jeder Titelkarte befindet sich rechts oben die Signatur, unter der das Buch über Fernleihe bei der Stadt- und Universitätsbibliothek Frankfurt am Main bestellt werden kann
