Development to Motivate the Interest and Ability of Entrepreneurship of Medika Suherman University Students
Full text linkIndonesia is a large country, but the proportion of entrepreneurs in the population is very small. Empirical facts show that the number of university graduates has increased significantly over time, while the absorption capacity of the labor market is very low. So it is deemed necessary to develop student entrepreneurship. The purpose of this activity is to provide information about entrepreneurship and increase interest in entrepreneurship for students. The PkM team helps activity participants to be motivated and have an interest in the business world through the provision of material delivered by the speakers. The PkM team also helps provide assistance and training to activity participants. Based on the PkM activities that have been carried out, it is concluded that "PkM activities add insight and knowledge related to entrepreneurship in Suherman Medika University students so that they get better and better". Of course it is important to provide entrepreneurship education so that competent young entrepreneurs develop and understand the ability and stability to progress in inculcating attitudes, behaviors, awareness and skills. This can foster an entrepreneurial spirit, attitude, behavior and skills in students and society who are competent, reliable and superior. Besides that, it will foster strong and strong entrepreneurial awareness and orientation to students and the community. Of course it is important to provide entrepreneurship education so that competent young entrepreneurs develop and understand the ability and stability to progress in inculcating attitudes, behaviors, awareness and skills. Muhammadiyah's educational philosophy and contextualization of Islamic moderation: Challenges to religious extremism
No full textPart of the Muslim community in Indonesia understands the Muhammadiyah's movement of purification paradoxically. They regard this ideology as a foundation of thought that is anti-reform. This puritanical style of Islam is seen as the cause of a number of Muhammadiyah members being exposed to the ideology of terrorism in the last two decades. This study explains that this assessment is very baseless, because it ignores the characteristics of Muhammadiyah as a reform movement (tajdid). This article examines the basis of Muhammadiyah's Islamic moderation through the educational principles taught by Kiai Ahmad Dahlan contained in his speech and official Muhammadiyah documents. In detail, this paper focuses on two important research objects, namely studying the Muhammadiyah's educational philosophy and contextualizing the principles of Islamic moderation, as well as making it a foundation for resilience from the ideology of religious-based violent extremism. Thus, this article concludes that even though Muhammadiyah adheres to purification of Islam, Muhammadiyah has strengthened its movement ideology and religious thought through the renewal of the Islamic education movement which promotes rational, modern and scientific thinking
Effect of alkanethiol molecular structure on sensitivity of surface plasmon resonance sensor
Full text linkThis work aims to find the key factor determining the detection limit for an indirect competitive inhibition immunoassay using surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensing. In our previous work, the thiol solution concentration used in a self-assembly process highly affected the alkanethiol monolayer structure on the sensor surface [Suherman et al., 2014]. It was noticed that the monolayer structure determined the immunoassay sensitivity due to the orientation and the surface concentration of antigen in domain structure of monolayer. To study the effect of orientation of antigen, we examined here three types of alkanethiol compounds: dithiobis(succinimidyl undecanoate) (DSU; straight-chain alkanethiol), carboxy-EG6-undecanethiol (CEG6; flexible-chain alkanethiol), and 3,3´-dithiobis[N-(5-amino-5-carboxypentyl)propionamide-N,N´-diacetic acid] (C2-NTA; three-branched alkanethiol). By electrochemical reductive desorption, the surface concentration of DSU, CEG6, and C2-NTA were estimated to be 6.6 × 10–10, 8.5 × 10–10, 4.6 × 10–10 mol cm–2, respectively. Subsequently, SPR suggested that the ratios of immobilized antigen (clenbuterol) per thiol were 0.13, 0.16, and 0.15 for DSU, CEG6, and C2-NTA, respectively. This suggests that the amount of immobilized clenbuterol was defined by the molecular size of clenbuterol. Sensor surface structures on a molecular scale were evaluated using high-resolution scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), which showed tilted clenbuterol with DSU > CEG6 > C2-NTA. For SPR sensing of clenbuterol, C2-NTA showed the highest sensitivity (LOD = 10 ppt) among the examined alkanethiols, because clenbuterol formed a laid-on structure. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan penggambaran transgender pada koran daring The Jakarta Post di Indonesia menggunakan teori penilaian (appraisal theory). Teori penilaian dikembangkan oleh J.R. Martin dan P.R.R. White. Mereka mengklasifikasikan appraisal theory ke dalam tiga sub-sistem; sikap (attitude), keterlibatan (engagement), dan tingkatan (graduation). Dalam penelitian ini, metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan sebagai alat analisis.
Peneliti menggunakan 6 artikel berita dari surat kabar daring The Jakarta Post tentang komunitas transgender dan LGBT. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat 6 artikel berita yang ditulis oleh penulis yang berbeda, setiap penulis menggunakan tiga sub-sistem penilaian (appraisal theory); sikap (attitude) ((pengaruh (affect), penilaian (judgement), penghargaan(appreciation)), keterlibatan(engagement), dan tingkatan (graduation) untuk menggambarkan komunitas transgender. Sistem penilaian membantu peneliti untuk melihat pendapat penulis The Jakarta Post tentang transgender di Indonesia. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa koran daring The Jakarta Post menggambarkan orang-orang transgender sebagai orang-orang yang ditolak dan dianggap berbahaya untuk lingkungan.

This research is aimed to find the portrayal of transgender on The Jakarta Post Online Newspaper in Indonesia employing appraisal theory. The appraisal theory is developed by J.R. Martin and P.R.R. In this research, descriptive qualitative study is used as analysis tool.
The researcher employs 6 news articles from The Jakarta Post online newspapers about transgender and LGBT community. In this study there are 6 news articles written by different authors, and each atuhor using the three appraisal sub-systems; attitude (affect, judgement, appreciation), engagement, and graduation to portray the transgender community. The appraisal system helps the researcher to see the author of The Jakarta Post opinion about transgender in Indonesia. The finding of this research shows that The Jakarta Post online newspaper portrayed transgender people as rejected and dangerous people in the society.

Performance Study of Buck-Boost Converter for Maximum Power Gaining in Solar Panel Use
No full textElectrical energy is energy that is needed to support human life. Currently, energy needs in Indonesia continue to increase due to population growth, the economy and energy consumption which has resulted in an increase in electrical energy consumption. To overcome this problem, various breakthroughs need to be made by various parties. One of the breakthroughs that can be made is the use of renewable energy. One of the largest renewable energies is solar energy. Based on the reality found in the field, the author is interested in testing the Buck-Boost Converter module on the effectiveness and efficiency of the battery charging system in solar energy systems. In this research, the method used is Research and Development (R&D) level 2. Research and development (R&D) level 2 is research that does not create product designs through research, but only validates or tests the effectiveness and efficiency of existing products. In order to obtain consistent data, testing was carried out several times using experimental research methods. Testing was carried out by testing the solar module, testing the voltage stabilizer with a buck-boost converter and testing battery charging at the source from the solar paner with buck-boost to obtain maximum power. In this research, the buck-boost converter module was effectively used to stabilize the battery charging voltage in the solar energy system so that a maximum input power of 28,34 occurred at 09:50 while the maximum output power was 16,56 which occurred at 10:00.55 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

The banking dispute that begins with a costumer’s complaint against the services of a bank which is not responded, will cause a dispute. The banking dispute can also occur due to contractual relationship between bank and debtor. There is several action that can be done by debtor for doing banking mediation, namely debtor has meeting with bank party to ask explanation for mediation, if acknowledge and understand so debtor can propose a mediation process to the implementation of banking mediation function, the debtor follows the mediation process and put it into an agreement. In this case, author also describe the benefits and weakness about banking mediation.

Ethnomathematical test for mathematical creative thinking
Full text linkMathematical creative thinking (MCT) is now globally recognized as a vital 21st-century skill for students in all areas of education. However, the absence of robust psychometric properties in MCT assessments, particularly in the context of ethnomathematics, poses a significant obstacle to incorporating MCT into school curricula. This study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Mathematical Creative Thinking-Ethnomathematics Based Test (MCTBE) using the Rasch model. Specifically, it sought to determine whether the data align with the Rasch model measurement, assess the MCT abilities of a sample of Indonesian secondary school students, and investigate how test items function differently based on gender. A total of 186 secondary school students, with an average age of 13.94 ± 0.89 years, participated in the study. The results indicated that the data fit the Rasch model measurement effectively. Additionally, there was no Differential Item Functioning (DIF) in the test criteria, and MCT ability varied by sex, ethnicity, and grade level. This work broadens the field of MCT evaluation through ethnomathematical test, providing meaningful guidance for educational researchers. © 2025 The Author(s
