District cooling system with chilled water storage / Mohd Hasnun Musa @ Mahmud and Saiful Bahri Abdul Hamid
This study is carried out as a partial requirement for the award of Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons.) from the School of Mechanical Engineering, MARA Institute of Technology, Shah Alam. District Cooling System is a method of providing the needs for cooling load of a large area (District term) collectively from one or more central chiller plants. Since cooling is a necessity and is known to consume a large amount of power, a mean of saving in terms of expenditure is normally goes with it. Thermal Energy Storage is well known for this purpose. Thus, this study is about District Cooling System with Chilled Water Storage. This study will try to extract the possibility of applying this system to PNB Building and the possibility of selling the excessive cooling load to neighbourhood buildings like LUTH, second phase under construction PNB's Building and a nearby apartment's block. We will also analyse the savings applicable by PNB's electrical expenditures for HVAC System. In doing so, a brief study is made onto the existing conventional applied system at PNB Building to investigate the cooling load and its electricity bills. The cooling load at LUTH and the apartments is estimated. This study will also cover relevant topics like TES and DCS with chilled water storage to help further understandings
Perspektif komunikasi antar budaya dalam Film Al-Kautsar
Film ini berkisah tentang seorang santri Pondok Pesantren Pabelan yang bernama Saiful Bahri yang dikirim untuk mengajar ke sebuah desa. Tekadnya untuk menegakkan kebenaran agama banyak menghadapi rintangan terutama dari Tuan Harun yang memfitnahnya dan sikap Haji Musa selaku tokoh agama yang disegani di kampung tersebut yang kurang bersimpati kepada Saiful karena perbedaan pandangan keagamaan. Dalam setiap dialog yang terjadi antara Haji Musa dan Saiful acapkali diwarnai perbedaan, Haji Musa disatu sisi konservatif dan Saiful Bahri disisi lain reformis yang membawa gagasan pembaruan di desa tersebut. Dalam film ini bagaimana usaha Saiful Bahri untuk menegakkan kebenaran dengan meretas jalan dakwah melalui nilai-nilai pembaruan yang ia bawa dari Pesantrennya untuk diimplementasikan di desa sekarlangit. Bagaimana pula usaha Saiful untuk meyakinkan Haji Musa dan penduduk desa terhadap gagasan pembaruannya dan membuktikan dirinya bersih dari segala tuduhan fitnah yang ditimpakan kepadanya. Secara teoritis, saya mendasarkan pada teori komunikasi antar budaya. Dalam pada itu, komunikasi antar budaya terjadi dalam ragam situasi yang berkisar dari interaksi-interaksi antara orang-orang yang mempunyai budaya dominan yang sama tetapi mempunyai subkultur yang berbeda. Secara metodologis, skripsi ini menggunakan metodologi penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis. Metodologi ini digunakan karena sesuai dengan konteks film Al-Kautsar yang mengisahkan perbedaan antara kedua pemahaman dalam menginterpretasikan ajaran Islam dan keteguhan tokoh protagonis dalam menegakkan kebenaran menuju perubahan di penduduk desa sekarlangit. Kedatangan Saiful Bahri tokoh protagonis dalam film ini menimbulkan konflik karena ketidaksenangan tokoh antagonis yang diwakili Tuan Harun dengan berbagai cara ia tempuh untuk melenyapkan Saiful mulai dari percobaan pembunuhan, memfitnah Saiful melakukan hubungan serong dengan seorang janda yang bernama Halimah hingga pengrusakan Madrasah yang ia kelola. Selain itu, mula-mula kehadiran Saiful menimbulkan pertentangan dengan Haji Musa tokoh ulama setempat yang sangat dihormati karena Saiful membawa gagasan-gagasan pembaruan dalam Islam dan setiap dialog yang terjadi dengan sangat jelas memperlihatkan perbedaan pandangan tersebut. Film Al-Kautsar merupakan pandangan pembuatnya yakni Chaerul Umam dan Asrul Sani untuk mengedepankan gagasan Islam yang modernis. Film ini berangkat dari struktur kehidupan sosial dan beragama umat Islam dan pembuatnya mencoba merepresentasikan Islam yang modernis dan membawa gagasan pembaruan untuk responsif terhadap perubahan
Klasifikasi Emosi Sinyal EEG berdasarkan Empirical Mode Decomposition dan Wavelet Packet Decomposition menggunakan Logarithmic Learning For Generalized Classifier Neural Network
Emosi manusia berdasarkan aktivitas otak dapat menghasilkan gelombang elektrik yang sangat kecil. Dengan electroencephalography (EEG) dapat diperoleh data rekaman aktivitas otak dari sejumlah channel – channel berdasarkan pemantauan electrophysiological. Masing-masing channel memberikan respons yang berbeda-beda saat mendapatkan stimulus emosi. untuk mengenali emosi manusia berdasarkan aktivitas gelombang otak, dibutuhkan penguraian atau perubahan sinyal yang dapat diartikan sebagai nilai penting dalam menentukan emosional manusia.
Penelitian ini mengusulkan sebuah kerangka klasifikasi emosi manusia dari data sinyal EEG menggunakan metode Logarithmic learning for Generalized Classifier Neural Network (L-GCNN), sinyal yang diklasifikasi adalah hasil analisis dari metode EMD untuk proses shifting dengan cara menguraikan rangkaian waktu sinyal menjadi sejumlah Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMF) dan metode WDP dengan membentuk sinyal menjadi subband - subband yang terdiri dari approximation dan detail. Selanjutnya masing-masing subband akan di hitung berdasarkan perhitungan statistik logaritma sehingga membentuk data fitur.
Dari hasil uji coba berdasarkan pemilihan channel-channel pada area dahi, area telinga kiri dan kanan, serta area tengkuk (leher bagian belakang) diperoleh rata-rata akurasi adalah 86.94 % untuk skenario B dan skenario A mendapatkan rata-rata akurasi 68.45 %. Dari hasil uji coba diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa skenario B lebih baik dari skenario A dalam mengklasifikasi emosi manusia berdasarkan analisis dekomposisi dengan menerapkan hierarki ke 6 sampai hierarki ke 8 pada metode WPD.

Human emotion based on brain activity can produce a very small electrical waves. With electroencephalography (EEG) the recording data of brain activity from several channels can be obtained by electrophysiological monitoring. Each channel provides different response when receive the emotion stimulus. To identify the human emotion based on brain wave activity, decomposition or signal change which can be interpreted as important value in determining human emotion is needed.
This study proposes a classification framework of human emotion from EEG signals data using logarithmic learning for Generalized Classifier Neural Network (L-GCNN), the classified signal is a analysis result from Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) method for shifting process by decomposing the signal time-series into Intrinsic Mode Function (IMF) and Wavelet Packet Decomposition (WDP) method by forming the signal into sub-bands which is consist approximation and detail. Furthermore, each sub-bands will be calculated based on logarithm statistical calculations to form a feature data.
From the evaluation results based on channels selection on the forehead area, the left and right ears area and also the nape area (rear parts of the neck), the obtained average accuracy was 94% for B scenario and 84% for A scenario. From the evaluation results it is concluded that both A and B scenario managed to classify the human emotion based on decomposition analysis by applying the 6th to 8th hierarchy on the WPD method

Interventions on medical students’ psychological health: A meta-analysis
AbstractIntroductionThree systemic reviews reported that, although many studies echoed the importance of stress management programs in medical curricula, yet very few high quality studies provided convincing evidence of their effectiveness. So far, none of meta-analysis study was done to appraise their effectiveness on medical students’ psychological health.ObjectiveThe author conducted a meta-analysis to quantitatively appraise and summarize all studies of stress management interventions on medical students’ psychological health that include general psychological distress, stress, anxiety and depression symptoms.MethodThe author planned, conducted and reported this study according to the PRISMA standard of quality for reporting meta-analyses.ResultThe author yielded 23,921 relevant articles based on search terms and eventually, after critical appraisal, only 13 articles were included in the meta-analysis. Stress management interventions were associated with moderate, statistically significant improvement of medical students’ psychological health [−0.335 (95% CI, −0.423, −0.246), P<0.001] with low inconsistency among the studies (I2=30.46%). Subgroup analyses demonstrated there were consistent interactions with the duration of intervention (Q-value (df)=15.56 (3), p=0.001) and research design (Q-value (df)=4.93 (1), p=0.026). Sensitivity analyses did not change the study conclusions.ConclusionStress management interventions were associated with moderate effects on medical students’ psychological health compared with no intervention. Brief to medium-duration intervention demonstrated significant larger effects than long-duration intervention. Likewise, RCT studies showed larger effects than non-RCT studies. Future research with RCT design should directly compare different types of stress management interventions based on a sound theoretical basis
KONSEP DAKWAH BIL HAL DALAM MAJELIS TAKLIM DIMASJID AL-AMINIYAH SUDIMARA PINANG KOTA TANGERANG
The concept of da'wah Bil Hal in the taklim assembly in the mosque al-aminiyah Sudimara Pinang Tangerang City. In that context. The author intends to answer the basic question of how the implementation of the concept of da'wah is implemented. More specifically, the author will examine the first three questions, how the history that affects the congregation is hindered by 'Isha' prayer at the beginning of time. Second, what underlies the objectives of political identity and critical pluralism in the assembly. Third, how the views and effects of the talk were to the worshippers. In the media student's book fifth edition Gill Branston and Roy Stafford in 2010. The author will analyze with three concepts in the book. The concept is after Marxism, identity politics and pluralism kritits and lectures. In his analysis has answered three minor questions. Awareness in Muslims increases the science and worship of amaliyah. In conclusion in this paper can be put forward the following: first, Islam is the religion of da'wah. Second, Islam unites people socially and realizes a dignified society (Khaira Ummah). Third, do not waste time in praying Fardhu. Fourth, knowledgeable religion also has cultural intelligence. Fifth, do the righteous and leave the evil.
 
Pelican Crossing System for Control a Green Man Light with Predicted Age
Traffic lights are generally used to regulate the control flow of traffic at an intersection from all directions, including a pelican crossing system with traffic signals for pedestrians. There are two facilities for walker crossing, namely using a pedestrian bridge and a zebra cross. In general, the traffic signals of the pelican crossing system are a fixed time, whereas other pedestrians need "green man" traffic lights with duration time arrangement. Our research proposes a prototype intelligent pelican crossing system for somebody who crosses the road at zebra crossings, but the risk of falling while crossing is not expected, especially in the elderly age group or pedestrians who are pregnant or carrying children. On the other hand, the problem is that the average step length or stride length (distance in centimeter), cadence or walking rate (in steps per minute), and the possibility of accidents are very high for pedestrians to make sure do crossing during the lights “green manâ€. The new idea of our research aims to set the adaptive time arrangement on the pelican crossing intelligent system of the traffic lights “green man†based on the age of the pedestrians with artificial intelligence using two combined methods of the FaceNet and AgeNet. The resulting measure can predict the age of pedestrians of the training dataset of 66.67% and testing prototype in real-time with participants on the pelican crossing system of 73% (single face) and 76% (multi faces)
A critical review on the impact of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning on well-being and resilience in medical education
Introduction: This article explores the dynamic relationship between the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and the well-being of students and educators within the context of medical education.
Methods: The author critically reviewed the salient views and knowledge at the intersection of SoTL, well-being, and resilience. By critically examining literature, insights from various studies were synthesised, offering a detailed overview of the current state of knowledge in this field. This review guided the identification of key practices and recommendations.
Results: SoTL emerges as a transformative force, enhancing well-being for both students and educator through evidence-based practices and innovative teaching methods. The article explores the crucial role of SoTL in fostering resilience, not only among students but also among educators. Despite promising evidence, challenges in implementing SoTL for well-being persist, requiring strategic approaches to overcome traditional paradigms. The discussion extends to the global implications of SoTL, emphasising the need for collaborative efforts to foster better educational practices and establish inclusive learning environments.
Conclusion: As we assess the evidence for transformative change, a call-to-action echoes, urging global collaboration, research endeavors, and institutional support to realise the full potential of SoTL, ultimately creating environments where both learners and educators thrive
KOMPARASI METODE SISTEM PENDUKUNG KEPUTUSAN BERDASARKAN METODE WP, AHP-WP, ENTROPY-TOPSIS DALAM PENENTUAN JURUSAN
The majors at SMK AR Rahma are still manual and Excel is only used to find the average score. While the number of students is around 140 students, so it takes a long time to determine the student's major. If the number of students in the SMK increases, the student's majoring will take longer which can cause inaccuracies.
Based on this background, in this research the author tries to analyze the accuracy of the WP, AHP-WP, ENTROPY-TOPSIS methods in the majors of vocational students. So that it will be known which method is more accurate in producing student majors. In the process of managing students, data is needed in the form of report cards, academic test scores, majors test scores and health scores. The accuracy of the majors produced by the three methods is measured by comparing it to the majors produced manually by the school.
The result of this research is that the alignment produced by the AHP-WP method is more accurate than the alignment produced by the other two methods. The accuracy results are 70.71% for the AHP-WP method, 64.29% for the WP method, and 51,43% for the ENTROPY-TOPSIS method. So that the AHP-WP method is the best method that can be recommended to schools in the case of majoring students at SMK AR Rahma Mandiri and then a majoring system can be made using the AHP-WP method
