    STEAM is a new innovation in the era of disruption in the world of education. which is an integrative thematic learning, scientific approach and technology-based, STEAM method is a unit of learning to improve critical and creative thinking skills that can be carried out by all educational fields including early childhood education, and this STEAM learning method uses loose-based media parts which are used to stimulate children's creativity. The purpose of this study is to develop the learning process using STEAM and loose part based learning methods. And to increase creativity and critical thinking in children is characterized by children able to solve problems and be able to make connections with the surrounding environment. Using a loose part based STEAM learning method that is able to develop creativity and critical thinking of children. Children's creativity can be seen from how to play, explore and have creative thinking skills and fluent, critical thinking skills that we can see in analyzing a problem, can explore in detail and systematically

    Augmenting Science in the Islamic Contemporary World: A Strategic Attempt at Reconstructing the Future

    During five centuries (6th to 11th C.E.), the advancement of science in the Muslim world displayed Muslim civilization as the scientific Mecca. This era saw many other civilizations learning science from Muslims seen as exemplary in modernizing life and sharing guidance for moral conduct. This was accomplished by embedding norms and inventions and as a result of factors such as royal patronage and personal sacrifice. This paper seeks to reclaim historical data through reflection and contextualization. Analysis of relevant past contexts paves a path leading from romanticism and antiquanism into the contemporary world. Secondary resources, such as historical books and journals, reveal how science in Islam was developed and nurtured through patronage, institutional establishment, networking, and other factors, leading to valuable inventions. The Islamic Golden Era of science flourished because Muslims scientists had an ethos motivating them toward discoveries. Key innovating scientists made cities such as Nishapur, Alexandria, Jundishapur, and Damascus become preeminent in scientific invention. This brought rapid development to Muslim life, as well as to the surrounding nations, extending to Greece and India and China. This paper argues that Muslim scientists of today’s world can benefit from the perspective that the Qur’an and hadiths are essential sources of general principles for conducting scientific and technological research. Both are key spirits for encouraging Muslim scientists to conduct rigorous studies.[ Selama 5 abad pertama, 6-11 Masehi, kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan di dunia muslim terwujud pada peradaban muslim di Mekkah. Era ini menunjukkan pelbagai peradaban lain belajar kepada muslim sebagai model kehidupan modern dan petunjuk kehidupan moral. Hal ini teruji oleh norma-norma dan penemuan-penemuan serta hasil akibat dari loyalitas dan keikhlasan. Artikel ini mencoba mengklaim ulang bukti historis melalui refleksi dan kontekstualisasi. Analisa konteks masa lalu yang tepat menghindari dari kecenderungan romantisme dan kekunoan dari pada dunia kontemporer. Sumber sekunder seperti buku dan jurnal, membuktikan bagaimana pengetahuan dalam Islam berkembang dan tumbuh melalui patronase, institusionalisasi, jejaring dan faktor lainnya yang mendukung penemuan baru. Keemasan ilmu masa Islam menjamur karena ilmuwan muslim mempunyai etos yang tinggi pada penjelajahan pengetahuan. Kunci inovasi para ilmuwan telah membuat kota–kota seperti Nishapur, Alexandria, Jundishapur dan Damaskus berkembang menjadi pusat pengetahuan. Perkembangan pesat kehidupan muslim ini akhirnya menyebar ke Yunani, India dan China. Artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa ilmuwan muslim saat ini dapat mengambil manfaat dari perspektif Qur’an dan hadits sebagai sumber utama dalam prinsip-prinsip penelitian ilmiah dan teknologi. Keduanya juga, Qur’an dan hadits, menjadi kunci semangat bagi ilmuwan muslim dalam kajian yang lebih maju.

    This article tries to discuss the pattern of religious education in multicultural perspective. This is inspired by many massive violences occured in several regions in Indonesia nowadays, partly due to the economic, politic, and social factor. Most studies relate this problem with those factors, just a few which deals with the field of education, especially religious education. According the writer, religious learning process in schooling more and less has contribution in building students character so that they behave radical and are not ready to face change and difference. Based on this the author offers religious education in multicultural perspective to cope with the unrest problems.     This research is motivated by the current era of strengthening character education is an important thing to do considering the number of loss of character education values currently very alarming. One of the characters that must be possessed by students as an effort in social problems is the character of discipline. The formulation of the problem in this study is how to model the discipline of disciplinary character through scout extracurricular activities in MI Al-Muhsin Yogyakarta. The purpose of this study was to determine the model of disciplinary character habituation through scout extracurricular activities at MI Al-Muhsin Yogyakarta. This research method is a type of descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Research subjects include the headmaster of madrasas, teachers, scoutmaster, and students. This research was conducted at MI Al-Muhsin Yogyakarta. When thhis research was conducted around March-April 2020. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data collection tools used are audio, video and photo recording. Check the validity of the data by triangulating data and sources. While the data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results showed that there was a model for disciplining character through the scout extracurricular activities at MI Al-Muhsin Yogyakarta through rewards and punishments applied. There is a relationship between scout extracurricular activities and disciplinary character. Evidence of the success of the Boy Scouts extracurricular activities in building disciplinary character at MI Al-Muhsin Yogyakarta, namely five minutes before the ceremony the students are ready and gathered by wearing the full boy scout uniform, students in an orderly manner paying front group contributions, and students are willing to pay fines and money Scoutmaster also pays if he does not order too. This research can add knowledge, experience as well as insights on the disciplinary character refraction model through scout extracurricular activities so that it can improve and be considered for other researchers, as prospective educators to enter the world of education

    Integration Of Islamic Values In Mathematics Learning In Class IV Students Of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

    Mathematics learning must experience changes in the context of improving the quality of religious education so it is necessary to add Islamic values that can increase optimal learning processes. The purpose of this study was to find out how to integrate Islamic values in learning mathematics in fourth-grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This research is a qualitative research study of literature that is intended to describe the integration model of mathematics with Islamic values in learning mathematics. The data collection method is done by interview and literature review. The results of the study indicate several things are underlined in applying Islamic values and technology in learning mathematics. The findings related to this phenomenon, namely: 1) The IVG homeroom teacher at MI Aliyah 2 studied had implemented the integration of Islamic science values with mathematics in learning; (2) Teachers who apply the integration of mathematics with Islamic science adjust to the material being studied; (3) The advantages of integrating Islamic values in the mathematics learning system can instill honesty, discipline, and responsibility. Based on this statement the integration of mathematical concepts with Islamic values is very important to be applied as a way of forming the character of the nation's generation. Thus, it is necessary to develop a continuous analysis of mathematical material by linking the verses of the Qur'an which is the source of all sources of knowledge that can be taken wisdom and lessons through mathematics by every human being

    CHARACTER INTEGRATION IN MATHEMATICAL LEARNING AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (STUDY TO AL-KHWARIZMI'S THOUGHT)

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis integrasi nilai-nilai karakter dalam pembelajaran matematika khususnya di sekolah dasar (SD) atau madrasah ibtidaiyah (MI) dalam perspektif Al-Khawarizmi. Pada penelitian ini metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka atau Library Research. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu dokumentasi. Dokumentasi meliputi mencari data dalam bentuk artikel-artikel yang berkaitan dengan hasil pemikiran Al-Khawarizmi dan pembelajaran matematika di SD/MI. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis isi, yang dilakukan dengan proses memiilih, menganalisis, membandingkan dan menggabungkan berbagai pendapat yang tercantum di dalam artikel-artikel yang di analisis sehingga ditemukan yang lebih relevan. Al-Khawarizmi merupakan salah satu ilmuwan muslim yang berkontribusi dibidang matematika dan disebut sebagai bapak al-jabar. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa hasil pemikiran Al-Khawarizmi dalam bidang matematika memiliki ke istimewaan dimana dalam pemikirannya mengandung banyak nilai-nilai karakter yang dapat diteladani, diantaranya nilai religius, nilai disiplin, nilai jujur, nilai kerja keras, nilai berfikir kritis, logis, kreatif dan inovatif, nilai rasa ingin tahu, nilai komunikatif, nilai mandiri, nilai jawab, nilai percaya diri, nilai demokasi, nilai gemar membaca, dan nilai adil, kasih sayang dan persahabatan.</jats:p

    Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengembangkan nila agama kepada anak usia dini agar menjadi pribadi yang memiliki cara berpikir, tutur kata, perbuatan, akhlak, tujuan hidup, cara memandang dan menimbang segala masalah penuh kehati-hatian dan sesuai dengan agama Islam. Dan diharapkan bisa menjadi pedoman bagi anak-anak ketika mereka beranjak dewasa serta dalam menghadapi perkembangan zaman di era modern ini, agar terhindari dari perbuatan yang menyimpang. Dengan begitu, melalui pengembangan nilai agama pada anak sejak dini, diharapkan bisa meminimalisir kemungkinan bagi anak-anak untuk berperilaku yang tidak sesuai dengan aturan agama sehingga tercetaklah anak-anak bangsa yang berkarakter terpuji. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ialah metode penelitian kepustakaan, yang merujuk pada penelitian terdahulu, jurnal, buku-buku yang berkaitan dengan penelitian. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara menelaah hasil penelitian terdahulu serta mengumpulkan semua informasi dan teori-teori yang relevan dengan penelitian. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa cara yang bisa dilakukan dalam mengembangkan nilai agama pada anak usia dini dalam perspektif Islam, yaitu teladan yang baik, pembiasaan, dan pembinaan akhlak. &nbsp

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan integrasi nilai-nilai keislaman dengan mata pelajaran TIK (Tekonologi Informasi dan Komunikasi) pada jenjang pendidikan Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis yang bersifat library research. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan literatur-literatur atau data penelitian yang berupa kepustakaan. Data-data diperoleh melalui buku-buku dan jurnal-jurnal yang terakreditasi. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, peneliti menemukan beberapa temuan bahwa teknologi informasi dan komunikasi memiliki memiliki dampak positif dan negative bagi peserta didik, dan sebagai upacaya pencegahan terjadinya dampak negative, penulis menawarkan solusi yaitu dengan mengintegrasikan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dengan nilai-nilai keislaman.
