    Imam al-Nakhaʿī on Zakatable Wealth: Implications for Indonesia’s Regulatory Framework

    This study reinterprets Imam al-Nakhaʿī's methodological legacy—rooted in the early Kufan tradition of ra'y, qiyās, and the proto-Hanafi notion later formalized as istiḥsan—to develop criteria for defining zakatable wealth in contemporary economies. Using a doctrinal-comparative design, we (i) reconstruct al-Nakhaʿī's approach from classical reports and secondary scholarship; (ii) conduct a content analysis of Indonesia's Law 23/2011, Government Regulation 14/2014, MoRA Regulation 52/2014, and MUI Fatwa No. 3/2003; and (iii) contrast Indonesia's formulation with selected Malaysian practice (eg, payroll-based income zakat). The paper proposes a transferable decision matrix linking asset types (earned income/“al-māl al-mustafād,” business profits, securities, precious metals, digital/financial instruments) to normative parameters (ownership stability, growth potential, tradeability/liq uidity, and benefit realization) and to regulatory levers (niṣab benchmarks,ḥawlrequirements, net-vs-gross basis, withholding mechanisms, and hardship allowances/ḥadd al-kifaYes). Findings indicate that Indonesia's framework substantively accommodates dynamization of zakat objects but exhibits gaps of alignment—notably inconsistent treatment ofḥawland thisṣab for earned income, and ambiguity around net-of-needs calculations and financial assets. We argue that operationalizing an al-Nakhaʿī-inspired matrix can improve concept–rule coherence, guide harmonization across statute–regulation–fatwa, and furnish auditable standards for zakat agencies (eg, payroll deduction rules, asset-class worksheets, disclosure templates). Originality lies in explicitly translating an early Kufan method into concrete, testable regulatory criteria, thus bridging classical proposals with modern policy design

    Used Motorcycle Transactions via Facebook: A Comparative Study of Islamic Law and Consumer Protection

    The phenomenon of online buying and selling through social media, particularly Facebook, has experienced significant growth and has become a popular alternative for used motorcycle transactions, including in the Kwanyar area of Bangkalan. However, this buying and selling practice poses several problems, such as a lack of clarity regarding contracts, incomplete or misleading vehicle information, and potential losses for consumers. This study aims to analyze the practice of buying and selling used motorcycles in the Kwanyar Facebook group from the perspective of Islamic law and Indonesian consumer protection law. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews with the sellers and buyers, and documentation of transaction activities in the Facebook group. The results indicate that the buying and selling practice is generally valid according to sharia due to the fulfillment of the contract elements and efforts to avoid serious gharar. However, there is still a lot of non-disclosure of information from sellers, which has the potential to violate consumer rights as stipulated in the Consumer Protection Law. Therefore, education and supervision are important to ensure that online buying and selling practices align with the principles of fairness, transparency, and legal protection

    Assessment adalah bagian penting dari kemajuan pendidikan karena merupakan alat yang membantu guru selama dan setelah proses pembelajaran. Salah satu assessment yang dapat membantu dalam merencanakan dan menyesuaikan pelajaran adalah assessment diagnostic. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keberhasilan penggunaan google form dalam malakukan assessment diagnostic pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SD Swasta Provinsi Papua Barat Daya. Penelitiain ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan guru wali kelas VA beserta peserta didik kelas VA yang berjumlah 27 peserta didik dengan 2 laki-laki berumur 10 tahun, 10 laki-laki berumur 11 tahun dan 2 laki-laki berumur 12 ahun, sedangkan 2 perempuan 10 tahun dan 11 perempuan 11 tahun sebagai responden atau sumber data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kualitas google form dalam assessment diagnostic ditinjau dari kualitas sistem mendapat presentase 79,26% dengan kategori efektif, kualitas informasi mendapat presentase 79,63% dengan kategori efektif, kepuasan penggunaan mendapat presentase 77,78% dengan kategori efektif, rata-rata keseluruhan dari ketiga indiator mendapat presentase 78,89% dengan kategori efektif. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keberhasilan google form sebagai assessment diagnostic di SD Swasta Provinsi Papua Barat Daya di kriteria efektif

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan mendeskripsikan implementasi pendidikan karakter di Sekolah Dasar Negeri (SDN) 03 Cingkariang, Kecamatan Banuhampu, Kabupaten Agam. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana nilai-nilai karakter diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, dan budaya sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa, serta observasi partisipatif dan analisis dokumen terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pendidikan karakter di SDN 03 Cingkariang dilakukan secara terintegrasi melalui tiga pilar utama: (1) integrasi dalam kurikulum, di mana nilai-nilai seperti religius, jujur, disiplin, dan tanggung jawab disisipkan dalam setiap mata pelajaran; (2) pembiasaan rutin, seperti kegiatan upacara bendera, salat berjamaah, dan piket kebersihan; dan (3) keteladanan guru, yang berperan sebagai model perilaku bagi siswa. Meskipun demikian, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi beberapa tantangan, seperti keterbatasan waktu dalam pembelajaran dan kurangnya partisipasi orang tua dalam mendukung program sekolah

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Inquiry Based Learning (IBL) terhadap pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV dalam pembelajaran IPA di Gugus VI Kecamatan Palembayan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 60 siswa yang terbagi ke dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes pemahaman konsep, tes berpikir kritis, dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan MANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang belajar dengan model IBL dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, model IBL berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA

    Peningkatan Kemampuan Menulis Huruf Hijaiyah Anak Melalui Modul Huruf Hijaiyah Munfaridah di Madrasah Sore

    Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) ini difokuskan pada pembelajaran menulis huruf hijaiyah bagi anak-anak TK dan SD di madrasah sore sebagai upaya ikut serta menjaga kemurnian Al-Qur’an dan As-Sunnah. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas anak masih baru dalam keterampilan menulis huruf hijaiyah. Anak-anak TK cenderung mengalami kesulitan dalam mengendalikan pensil karena perkembangan motorik halus masih pada tahap awal, sehingga pembelajaran diarahkan pada pembiasaan menggunakan pensil. Sementara itu, anak-anak SD sudah terbiasa menulis, tetapi bentuk huruf hijaiyah yang mereka hasilkan belum sesuai dengan kriteria penulisan yang benar. Keterbatasan waktu pelaksanaan KKN menyebabkan capaian program belum maksimal. Namun demikian, kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan pemahaman dasar mengenai bentuk huruf hijaiyah yang benar dan salah, sekaligus membiasakan anak-anak berlatih menulis secara bertahap. Program ini menggunakan pendekatan zone of proximal development (ZPD) dan scaffolding, di mana bantuan diberikan sesuai kesiapan anak. Selain itu, prinsip deliberate practice diterapkan melalui latihan berulang, fokus, dan disertai umpan balik. Keberlanjutan program menjadi kunci untuk hasil yang lebih optimal. Guru dan orang tua perlu melanjutkan pendampingan rutin agar keterampilan menulis huruf hijaiyah berkembang sejalan dengan tahap kognitif dan motorik anak, sekaligus menumbuhkan adab dalam memuliakan Al-Qur’an melalui bacaan dan tulisan

    UMKM memiliki peran vital dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah, namun banyak pelaku usaha yang masih mengalami keterbatasan dalam pemanfaatan teknologi, khususnya dalam hal pemasaran digital. UMKM Telur Asin “Ulfa” di Desa Gedangan, Kabupaten Tulungagung, menghadapi kendala dalam sistem pemasaran yang masih tradisional dan kurangnya pemahaman mengenai pemasaran digital. Keterbatasan pemilik dalam penggunaan teknologi menjadi hambatan utama dalam menerapkan strategi pemasaran digital. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pemasaran UMKM tersebut melalui pendekatan pemasaran digital menggunakan media sosial Instagram. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian mencakup wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, serta Focus Group Discussion (FGD) bersama pemilik usaha. Hasil kegiatan ini mencakup pembuatan logo sebagai bagian dari penguatan identitas merek, serta pelatihan pembuatan dan pengelolaan akun Instagram sebagai media promosi produk. Penerapan pemasaran digital ini diharapkan dapat memperluas jangkauan pasar, meningkatkan daya saing, serta mendorong keberlangsungan usaha Telur Asin “Ulfa” dalam menghadapi kendala pemasaran di era digital yang semakin kompetiti

    Japa Mantra and Offerings in the Walagara Wedding Tradition of the Tengger Tribe in Ngadas Village, Poncokusumo: A Study of Islamic Law

    The Walagara tradition in Tenggerese weddings in Ngadas Village, Malang Regency, is a form of local wisdom that serves as a customary legalization of marriage. This tradition involves two main elements: the recitation of mantras and the presentation of offerings, understood as a medium of spiritual communication with the gods, water maidens, and ancestral spirits to request safety and blessings for the bride and groom. This study aims to analyze the symbolic meaning of the Walagara tradition and its legal implications from an Islamic legal perspective through an 'urf' approach. The method used is qualitative-descriptive with Clifford Geertz's symbolic-interpretive analysis. The results indicate that the mantras serve as a spiritual medium, recited by traditional shamans in the ancient Tenggerese language, accompanied by offerings containing cosmological meaning. Although the Tenggerese Muslim community continues to participate in this tradition, interpreting it as a form of cultural respect, under Islamic law, this practice is categorized as 'urf fāsid' due to its potential to contain elements of polytheism. Therefore, a wise approach to da'wah is needed to ensure that cultural preservation remains in line with the principles of monotheism

    Religious Justification and Gendered Subjugation: Narrative Polygamy Through Banjar Women's

    This study explores the voices of Banjar migrant women who experienced polygamy, focusing on their lived experiences and the socio-cultural mechanisms that legitimize this practice. Employing a life history method, the research draws on in-depth interviews with Banjar women subjected to polygamous marriages in Serdang Bedagai, Indonesia. Data were analyzed through a systematic process involving data reduction, narrative presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that polygamy within Banjar society is deeply embedded in religious interpretations, cultural traditions, and social norms, all of which are reinforced by the authority of Tuan Guru (religious leaders) who frame the role of polygamous wives as spiritually honorable. However, beneath this constructed legitimacy lies a system of male domination that operates through three interrelated forms of power: material power, manifested in male control over economic resources; symbolic power, which enhances male social status through polygamy; and normative power, which restricts women’s resistance through religious and cultural justification. Together, these forms of power constitute a cohesive structure of gendered subjugation, wherein polygamy functions not only as a personal or cultural practice but as an institutionalized mechanism of oppression

    Revitalizing the Mosque’s Role as an Economic Stabilizer for the Muslim Community: Social Fiqh Perspectives and Contemporary Practice

    Since the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, the mosque has functioned not only as a center of worship but also as a social institution with a strategic role in developing the community’s economy. However, over time its function has tended to be reduced to ritual religiosity alone, leaving its role as a stabilizer of the community’s economy less than optimal. This article aims to reassess the mosque’s functions through the lens of social fiqh and their implementation in contemporary practice. The approach employed is normative-empirical: it examines Qur’anic verses, hadiths, and classical fiqh literature, then contextualizes them within modern mosque management practices encompassing the administration of zakat, infaq, charity (sadaqah), and productive waqf. The findings indicate that revitalizing the mosque’s functions can serve as an instrument for wealth distribution, the economic empowerment of congregants, and the safeguarding of Islamic business ethics. In addition, contemporary practice reveals models of “productive mosques” capable of becoming centers for community-based economic empowerment. Thus, the mosque holds significant potential as a pillar of the socio-economic balance of Muslim society, provided it is managed professionally, accountably, and in integration with Islamic financial institutions
