Southeast Asia, home to a population of 691.97 million people, faces significant challenges related to rainfall patterns. This study critically reviews 40 articles to explore the intricate rainfall patterns across 11 Southeast Asian countries, examining seasonal variations, impacts, influencing factors, and mitigation strategies. The objective is to develop a comprehensive understanding of rainfall dynamics in the region, particularly its influence on the region’s ecosystem and livelihoods. The analysis reveals distinct seasonal periods, with June to September marking the peak rainfall period due to the summer monsoon season, while November to April signifies the onset of dry seasons in several countries. Rainfall impact range plays a crucial role in the economies of nations, particularly in the agricultural sector, where it serves as a vital source of sustenance. However, it also poses risks, including flooding, landslides, and drought. The study emphasizes the significant role of the El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) in influencing rainfall variability across Southeast Asia, with El Niño events often associated with drier conditions and La Niña events with wetter conditions. To mitigate these challenges, Southeast Asian nations have implemented various strategies, including infrastructure development, community-based initiatives, and awareness campaigns. Further research is needed to explore specific factors influencing rainfall in each country, develop more accurate forecasting models, investigate innovative mitigation strategies, and evaluate the effectiveness of existing measures
Effectiveness of practical training sessions to students / Mohamad Jauhari Iskandar Mat Jaafar, Muhammad Syazwan Syafiq Badry and Aizat Fahmi Mohd Zainuddin
How effective is the practical training sessions to Diploma in Pharmacy UiTM students? For more than 10 years, Diploma of Pharmacy Students was sent to attend an industrial attachment for 11 months. As known this 11 months attachment was nothing but revising, practicing and repeating knowledge gain back in the previous 2 years of theory learning in the class. Were you one of the great newborn of these practical students too? No offense because it should be more valuable if the last 11 months continued by furthering the current lessons in the class and more topics can be covered rather than repeating what had been learned before (attending a year of training sessions). To find out why this (learning session) is very important and how effective is the training sessions to students; we had conducted a questionnaires survey research on both groups - students undergoing practical sessions and students that didn't yet. Out of 167 people of the population, 50 people from both groups were involved to answer the questionnaires paper survey in order to find out who got the higher in knowledge level and by doing that we can find out “Is practical training sessions are very effective to students or not?”

Pengaruh Pemupukan Urea dan Varietas pada Tanaman Jagung (Zea mays L.) terhadap Produksi Biomassa dan Biji
Jagung merupakan tanaman pangan yang mempunyai peran strategis dalam pembangunan pertanian dan perekonomian nasional. Produktivitas jagung sangat ditentukan oleh mutu genetik varietas yang ditanam dan pemupukan yang tepat. Kegiatan penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemupukan berbagai dosis pupuk urea terhadap dua varietas jagung yang ditanam melalui produksi biomassa dan biji. Penelitian dilakukan pada Januari hingga Mei 2023 di Kebun Percobaan Leuwikopo Departemen Agronomi dan Hortikultura, Institut Pertanian Bogor, Dramaga, Bogor, Jawa Barat. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan rancangan petak terbagi dalam rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak dengan tiga kali ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu varietas dan dosis pupuk urea. Varietas sebagai petak utama dan dosis pupuk urea sebagai anak petak. Dua varietas jagung, BISI-18 (hibrida) dan Bisma (komposit) ditanam dan dipupuk dengan dosis urea 0, 175, 350, dan 525 kg ha-1. Peningkatan dosis urea hingga 525 kg ha-1 secara linier meningkatkan total bobot kering, bobot tongkol dengan kelobot, bobot tongkol tanpa kelobot, diameter tongkol, bobot biji per tongkol, dan bobot biji per plot. Tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, panjang tongkol, dan nilai SPAD menunjukkan respons kuadratik dengan dosis Urea optimum masing-masing 461.25; 435; 350; 435 dan 518 kg ha-1. Dosis urea 439.25 kg ha-1 merupakan dosis optimum untuk mencapai produktivitas tinggi pada kedua varietas tersebut.

Strategic Organisational Communication and Leadership in a Sufi Institution: A Case Study of the Naqshabandiyyah Centre in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia
This study addresses the crucial issue of communication inefficiencies within religious organisations, which often lead to leadership fragmentation, operational confusion, and public misperception. Focusing on the Naqshabandiyyah Sufi Practice Centre (NSPC) in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, the research explores how strategic organisational communication enhances management decision-making in a spiritually structured institution. The objective is to analyse the roles of vertical and horizontal communication in ensuring administrative fluidity, leadership continuity, and public trust in the tarekat’s leadership. Employing a qualitative, descriptive-exploratory approach, the study utilizes document and content analysis to examine internal communications and management practices. The findings reveal that vertical communication supports the clear delegation of authority, vision alignment, and structured leadership formation, while horizontal communication facilitates collaboration, social outreach, and inter-agency coordination. The study also highlights how communication practices rooted in spiritual wisdom contribute to institutional legitimacy and organisational effectiveness. Ultimately, this article contributes to the field of Islamic management and communication by proposing a two-way, value-based communication model suited to the complexities of contemporary spiritual institutions operating within modern governance frameworks
Peran Keterampilan Mengelola Kelas dalam Meningkatkan Minat Belajar Siswa
In the learning process, teachers must formulate learning components including classroom management. In the learning process, it is often found that students are less interested in learning. For this reason, good classroom management by the teacher is needed because good classroom management can have a positive impact on the learning process. This study aims to determine the role of teacher skills in managing the class to increase students' interest in learning. In this study we used a qualitative method, namely through interviews which were reinforced by literature studies. With this research we know how the role of classroom management in increasing student interest, factors and strategies in classroom management, and the obstacles. In line with the results of his research, classroom management has a crucial role in increasing student interest in learning with various strategies carried out by the teacher to manage the class so as to foster interest in learning in students
Desain Smart Body Vest Untuk Meminimalisir Kecelakaan Kerja Menuju Indonesia Zero Accident
The construction sector plays an important role in a country's economy. This is because construction projects such as the construction of buildings, roads, bridges and other infrastructure are one of the benchmarks of economic progress and civilization of a country. Work accidents on construction projects can cause work to stop and result in financial losses and decreased work productivity. According to the Minister of Manpower in 2018 the number of work accidents has increased from the previous year even from the data of the Central Statistics Agency stating that the majority of construction workers are junior high school graduates and below. This is one of the factors causing the increase in occupational accidents in the construction sector. Losses from work accidents are also included in workers' losses, damage to equipment and materials wasted due to work accidents. Occupational health and safety (K3) risk control is very important as a preventive effort to prevent a bigger event. One such control is the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or more commonly called personal protective equipment (PPE). The existence of PPE is important for workers to minimize the impact of accidents so that each company is obliged to use PPE. This study aims to minimize the number of work accidents in Indonesia, especially in the construction sector. The method used in making the body vest is the addition of an airbag by applying the fall detection algorithm to the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), which is to calculate the Euclidean distance which is the distance between the sample and training data and then determine the k nearest data from the sample so that the sample can be classified on the sensor and microcontroller. The way it works is when a collision or a hard collision occurs, workers will generally be thrown or dropped then there will be a change in the acceleration of the position of the body wearing a body vest. The change in acceleration triggers the development of airbags on the body vest. This is expected to reduce injuries to vital organs in the worker's body
Synthesis of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene Membrane with Sulfonated Reduced Graphene Oxide and Cerium Filler
The study investigates the use of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) polymer modified by sulfonated reduced graphene oxide (s-rGO) and cerium (Ce) as an alternative membrane to Nafion for Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC) applications. Pure ABS membranes and ABS membranes with s-rGO/Ce fillers were synthesized and characterized, with sulfonation at 60 °C using filler concentrations of 1%, 3%, and 5% v/v. The addition of fillers aimed to enhance ion exchange capacity (IEC), water absorption, and reduce methanol permeability. The membrane with 5% filler content showed optimal performance, with an IEC of 0.35 meq/g, a swelling degree of 1.5%, and controlled methanol permeability of 1.2670 × 10⁻⁷ cm²/s. FTIR analysis confirmed the presence of sulfonate groups (S=O) at 1054 cm⁻¹, indicating successful sulfonation. SEM analysis revealed that the filler was well-dispersed and formed more defined pores without compromising the structural integrity of the ABS matrix. This study demonstrates the potential of s-rGO/Ce-modified ABS membranes as a viable alternative to Nafion membranes in DMFC applications

During this pandemic era, we saw a lot of people are experiencing a work from home routine. Students and workers will held their classes or meeting through google meets, zoom or webex. This can lead to frequent use of mobile technologies such as telephones and laptops. Laptops are the most frequent use equipment by students and workers. However, the use of a laptop for too long will cause pain in some parts of the body such as the shoulders, back and wrists. Not only that, we also facing a problem where our outdoor exercise routine are limited. Therefore, it is suitable for us to have an indoor exercise routine in the house in order to keep a healthy lifestyle. To overcome all this problem, we decided to produce a prototype called “Monkey Bartop Stand”. This mechanical performance product is a laptop stand that can be used as an exercise equipment at the same time. This prototype solves the mechanical equations providing the values required. Features included in this product include the ability to adjust the height during the use of the laptop stand and the frame are able to rotate according to the comfort of the user. We also apply a safety factor in our product for example when the users wanted to use it as an exercise equipment. Material use for our prototype is stainless steel considering how the prototype are function.
This product can encourage consumers to exercise regularly even if they have to face constraints to work from home. We are also confident that through this product we can make consumers aware of the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle
Logistic regression for assessing prevalence and socio-demographic correlates of depression during the Covid-19 pandemic / Idari Ismail ...[et al.]
The outbreak of COVID-19 that emerged in Wuhan, China has spread as a global outbreak in a few months, resulting in billions into lockdown. This pandemic has caused a major health burden and has significantly impacted the mental health of the students due to the closure of educational institutions. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the depression level among university undergraduate students in Kelantan and its predicting factors. A cross-sectional study was conducted among 366 undergraduate students. The validated Patient Health Questionnaire- 9 (PHQ-9) was used to evaluate depression. The results indicated that 45.21% of the students experienced mild depression, 19.73% had moderate severe anxiety, and 15.18% reported moderately severe depression. Multiple logistic regression has been applied for predicting the factors affecting the depression level of the students during the Covid-19 pandemic. The dependent variable is the depression status where it is categorized into 0 and 1; 0 denoting depressed=”no” and 1 denoting depressed =” yes”. The results of binary logistic regression suggested that younger students had depression (OR=1.802, 95% CI = 1.029 - 3.154) and female students were more likely to have depression (OR=2.072, 95% CI = 1.066 - 4.024). The results also found that students with higher CGPA had a lower chance of having depression (OR = 0.331, 95% CI= 0.13 - 0.846). The findings of this study highlight the needs of psychological intervention programs in order to identify students who may need support regarding depression
