Three Decades of Spanish Communication Research: Towards Legal Age
Full text linkThis paper analyses the evolution of Spanish communication research published as scientific articles between 1980 and 2010. It quantifies the volume of this production with two different samples: the first sample includes national journals and offers original and unprecedented data; the second one includes international journals, defined as those indexed by the Web of Science. As a whole, more than 6,000 articles were analysed. Additionally, the collaboration patterns in authorship and internationality were also studied. On the one hand, collaboration was measured through indicators of multiple authorship and the evolution of coauthorship indexes. On the other hand, internationality was measured through the share of Spanish authors in international journals, the weight of international collaborations and the language used in national journals. Data obtained illustrate a growth and maturity process of communication as a scientific discipline: at the end of the period analysed, a tension between growing collaboration and internationalization and traditional publication patterns was found. Through the period studied, the birth of new faculties with communication studies and the growing number of journals have feed the own growth of the number of articles. However, other elements such as scientific assessment have also played a role in the internationalization of authors. As a whole, this article offers a first image of the evolution of communication as an academic discipline in Spain

No full textConcerns about disinformation have witnessed extraordinary growth since the mid-2010s, despite the spread of false and distorted messages in the public arena not being a new phenomenon. In 2016, the Oxford Dictionary declared “post-truth” its word of the year, highlighting a historical and political time in which disinformation strategies reached new heights, fueled by the hybridization of the communicative ecosystem (Chadwick 2017) in a context of increasing polarization and populism. The election of Donald Trump in 2016 and the Brexit referendum the same year were milestones in the awareness of the role that manipulative messages play and their effects on political decisions, particularly in times of crisis. from another of these networks’ inherent characteristics: their ability to dis- criminate and stratify the public according to the most diverse criteria (Wagner and Boczkowski 2019). Any person or company with a sufficiently large and specialized database can now distribute content among the public according to multiple criteria, allowing much more to be known about their tastes, hobbies, opinions, etc. than in the past. In fact, data on the public’s participation on social networks (who they follow, in which groups they participate, what content they share, etc.) are one of the main ele- ments that help increase the effectiveness of the messages sent to the public. No full text[ES] El presente trabajo de fin de grado tiene como objetivo el diseño de la instalación necesaria para abastecer a una vivienda rural de energía eléctrica y de agua caliente sanitaria, sin estar conectado a la red eléctrica.
Tanto para la energía eléctrica como para el agua caliente sanitaria se va abastecer mediante energía solar, para la energía eléctrica, se ha diseñado una instalación placas fotovoltaicas y para el agua caliente sanitaria, se ha diseñado una instalación de placas solares térmicas.
Como se trata de una vivienda rural antigua las instalaciones eléctricas están obsoletas y en mal estado, se ha realizado un estudio de iluminación y se ha diseñado una nueva instalación eléctrica a partir de las necesidades del usuario.[EN] The objective of this final degree project is the design of the installation necessary to supply a rural house with electricity and sanitary hot water, without being connected to the electricity grid.
Solar energy is going to be supplied for both electrical energy and domestic hot water, for electrical energy, a photovoltaic panel installation has been designed and for domestic hot water, an installation of thermal solar panels has been designed.
