Measurement of the ratio of prompt χ c to J / ψ production in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV
The prompt production of charmonium χ c and J / ψ states is studied in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of √s = 7 TeV at the Large Hadron Collider. The χ c and J / ψ mesons are identified through their decays χ c → J / ψ γ and J / ψ → μ + μ - using 36 pb - 1 of data collected by the LHCb detector in 2010. The ratio of the prompt production cross-sections for χ c and J / ψ, σ (χ c → J / ψ γ) / σ (J / ψ), is determined as a function of the J / ψ transverse momentum in the range 2 < p T J / ψ < 15 GeV / c. The results are in excellent agreement with next-to-leading order non-relativistic expectations and show a significant discrepancy compared with the colour singlet model prediction at leading order, especially in the low p T J / ψ region
Weak C-H×××O and C-H×××F-C hydrogen bonds in the Oxirane-Trifluoromethane Dimer
The oxirane-trifluoromethane dimer generated in a supersonic expansion has been characterized by Fourier transform microwave spectroscopy. The rotational spectra of the parent species and of its two 13C isotopomers in combination with ab initio calculations have been used to establish a Cs geometry for the dimer with the two monomers bound by one C-HâââO and two C-HâââF-C hydrogen bonds. An overall bonding energy of about 6.7 kJ/mol has been derived from the centrifugal distortion analysis. The lengths of the C-HâââO and C-HâââF hydrogen bonds, r(OâââH) and r (FâââH), are 2.37 and 2.68 Å, respectively. The C-HâââF-C interactions give rise to the HCF3 internal rotation motion barrier of 0.55(1) kJ/mol, which causes the A-E splittings observed in the rotational spectra. The analysis of the structural and energetic features of the C-HâââO and C-HâââF-C interactions allows us to classify them as weak hydrogen bonds. Ab initio calculations predict these weak interactions to produce blue shifts in the C-H vibrational frequencies and shortenings of the C-H lengths
Prompt charm production in pp collisions at √<span style="text-decoration:overline">s</span>=7 TeV
Charm production at the LHC in pp collisions at s√=7 TeV is studied with the LHCb detector. The decays D0→K−π+, D+→K−π+π+, D⁎+→D0(K−π+)π+, D+s→ϕ(K−K+)π+, Λ+c→pK−π+, and their charge conjugates are analysed in a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 15 nb−1. Differential cross-sections dσ/dpT are measured for prompt production of the five charmed hadron species in bins of transverse momentum and rapidity in the region 0<pT<8 GeV/c and 2.0<y<4.5. Theoretical predictions are compared to the measured differential cross-sections. The integrated cross-sections of the charm hadrons are computed in the above pT-y range, and their ratios are reported. A combination of the five integrated cross-section measurements gives

oportunidad para la empresa Inversiones Layton Lopez Y CIA S EN C, el área de Marketing, de
Finanzas, de Negociación, de Gerencia y de Proyectos, y una vez identificada la problemática del
área de mayor impacto dentro de la organización, se propone una estrategia de mejora en la que se

Adsorption and Diffusion of Na+, Cs+ and Ca+2 Ions in C-S-H and C-a-S-H Nanopores
Cementitious materials act as a diffusion barrier, immobilizing liquid and solidradioactive waste and preventing their release into the biosphere. The retention capability of hydratedcement paste and its main hydration product, C-S-H gel, has been extensively explored experimentallyfor many alkali and alkaline earth cations. Nevertheless, the retention mechanisms of these cations atthe molecular scale are still unclear. In this paper, we have employed molecular dynamics simulationsto study the capacity of C-S-H to retain Cs, Ca and Na, analyzing the number of high-affinity sites onthe surface, the type of sorption for each cation and the diffusivity of these ions. We have also exploredthe impact of aluminum incorporation in C-S-H at a constant concentration of the ions in the gel pore.We found strong competition for surface sorption sites, with notable differences in the retention of thecations under study and a remarkable enhance of the adsorption in C-A-S-H with respect to C-S-H
Archivi centrali ed archivi periferici nella Grecia della Tarda Età del Bronzo: il caso delle Households di Micene
Contrariamente a quanto avviene negli altri maggiori siti micenei, la quasi totalità della documentazione in Lineare B di Micene proviene da edifici esterni alla Cittadella, ove, oltre all’attività amministrativa, è altresì attestato un uso domestico degli ambienti; anche i testi trovati entro le mura della Cittadella sono stati rinvenuti in strutture esterne al palazzo, che, con la sola eccezione della tavoletta MY L 710, non ha restituito documenti scritti. Questi gruppi di testi, inoltre, non sono sincronici: i documenti trovati nelle houses extra moenia sono stati datati al TE III A1-2 e al TE III B1, mentre quelli riportati alla luce intra moenia provengono da contesti più tardi del TE III B2.
Sebbene il panorama delineato possa essere senz’altro ascritto al caso, ha altresì sollevato fondamentali questioni, ad oggi irrisolte. In primo luogo, occorre stabilire se i gruppi documentari di Micene siano dei depositi di archivio o degli archivi veri e propri; in secondo luogo, fondamentale è delineare la natura della relazione tra queste houses e il palazzo e, soprattutto nel caso delle strutture extra moenia, la loro precipua funzione nell’organigramma economico-amministrativo e politico di Micene. Infine, il fatto che dopo la fine del TE III B1 non sia più attestata documentazione extra moenia impone di domandarsi se in questa seconda fase l’attività amministrativa di Micene si sia concentrata entro i confini della Cittadella e di considerarne le conseguenze di ordine storico-contestuale.
Intento del presente lavoro è stato quello di indagare e sciogliere tali interrogativi: in questa direzione, ci si è in primo luogo proposti di riesaminare la totalità dei testi in Lineare B di Micene al fine di realizzare un commento unitario e aggiornato degli stessi, ad oggi non ancora disponibile; in seconda istanza, si è proceduto all’indagine della natura di tali gruppi documentari, della funzione delle houses menzionate e dei rapporti tra queste ultime e il centro amministrativo, da un lato considerando i più recenti studi d’ambito micenologico sull’argomento, dall’altro fornendo all’indagine un nuovo strumento, ossia la comparazione con i contesti archeologico-documentari di epoca Medio-Assira, per molti versi affini a quelli attestati a Micene e, a opinione di chi scrive, realmente utili a sciogliere gli interrogativi ancora aperti di cui si è fatta menzione

Measurement of the inclusive φ cross-section in pp collisions at √s=7 TeV
The cross-section for inclusive φ meson production in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of √s = 7 TeV has been measured with the LHCb detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The differential cross-section is measured as a function of the φ transverse momentum pT and rapidity y in the region 0.6< pT <5.0 GeV/c and 2.44< y <4.06. The cross-section for inclusive φ production in this kinematic range is σ(pp→φX)=1758±19(stat) +43−14(syst)±182(scale) μb, where the first systematic uncertainty depends on the pT and y region and the second is related to the overall scale. Predictions based on the Pythia 6.4 generator underestimate the cross-section
