Resenha sobre a exposição de Fernando Lindote: trair Macunaíma e avacalhar o Papagaio
No full textA exposição de Fernando Lindote Trair Macunaíma e avacalhar o Papagaio com curadoria de Paulo Herkenhoff e cocuradoria de Clarissa Diniz e Leno Veras foi realizada no Museu de Arte do Rio entre 01/12/2015 e 03/04/2016. Aqui, foi possível notar as distorções, deformações e transformações que compõem o processo constante de Lindote. Percebe-se a influência de Renato Canini, tanto no uso de seu personagem como na predisposição para o uso de materiais variados e na sobreposição de materiais sobre o desenho. A representação do personagem Zé Carioca no contexto das obras de Lindote pode ser pensada em sua inclusão pela semelhança, como na célula com o personagem incluso, onde é subvertido o valor do dinheiro. Questiona o capitalismo e a arte de massa, da qual os quadrinhos fazem parte. A distorção e a fragmentação da figura do Zé Carioca incluída em alguns quadrinhos de Lindote, de forma semelhante, deturpam a arte de massa dos quadrinhos, porém, neste caso, com um questionamento a sua linguagem

Para tanto, estabelece uma discussão entre o conceitos de jogo desenvolvido por Huizinga (2000) e o de profanação, proposto por Agamben (2007) como forma de compreender como Fernando Lindote opera seu arquivo, conceito este explorado por Ana Maria Quasch (2011). Para tal, usaremos como material de análise principal as obras Relicário (2016/2017), O sismógrafo de Aby (2018) presentes na exposição Depoisantes (2019) e a instalação Cosmorelief (2010)

No full textAncorado no conceito de anacronismo das imagens de George Didi-Huberman e nas contribuições sobre experiências temporais de Reinhart Koselleck, este artigo pretende investigar como a obra de arte, intitulada, A Imperatriz Antropófaga do artista Fernando Lindote, carrega marcas da colonização, da resistência dos povos colonizados e temporalidades antigas. Com isso, busca-se compreender como essa obra e seu autor dialogam com a complexidade cultural latino-americana e brasileira, revelando contradições, continuidades e resistências associadas ao colonialismo e espaços de experiências de longa duração e tradição, inclusive, de outros espaços geográficos, como dos colonizadores (Península Ibérica, Europa e/ou Mediterrâneo). A obra de Lindote pode ser lida como o resultado e espaço onde ressoam influências globais e locais, oferecendo novos olhares sobre as interseções entre tradições culturais, relações de poder e processos históricos, evidenciando permanências e rupturas presentes no contexto brasileiro

No full textO texto aborda um conjunto de dez pinturas apresentadas por Fernando Lindote na 14ª BIENAL INTERNACIONAL DE ARTE CONTEMPORÂNEA DE CURITIBA - POLO SC. As mesmas permitem reconhecer uma espacialidade desterritorializada, onde gravitam signos distintos e referências contraditórias, combinando dimensões do racional e do onírico, da cor e da forma, do orgânico e do maquínico num campo diverso da mera ilustração, apropriação ou citação. Dados biográficos da infância e juventude persistem na obra como marca de uma desterritorialidade que prioriza um estado de desconstrução, destinado a questionar as hierarquias e classificações. Considerando o arquivo do qual emergem suas escolhas, processos e soluções poéticas, predomina uma recusa à coerência figural, acolhendo decantações provenientes tanto da literatura, da filosofia e da história da arte, bem como da cultura de massa, incluído músicas, gibis e cinema
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

No full text“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
No full textWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Quatro prognoses sobre a matéria onírica em Fernando Lindote
No full textFernando Lindote's painting refers to a dreamlike dimension, less because the artist equates his plastic images with figurations of dreams and more because he realizes through his own pictorial visuality a kind of oneiric experience. The notion of prognosis refers to the sense of carrying forward a certain type of knowledge, becoming a way of questioning how this feat happens from the formal and imagery point of view, in addition to problematizing the temporal implications, the references and visual articulations, as well as the decantations poetic and conceptual. The reflection unfolds in four parts. The first highlights the slippery and slippery character as a pictorial feat of this artist, then discusses the flickering effects that make use of certain works by Lygia Clark and Lygia Pape. Then he considers the flow of different temporalities that affect each work and, finally, recognizes his painting as an imaginative machine that both triggers and is triggered by its mnemonic singularity and its metamorphic processes.La peinture de Fernando Lindote renvoie à une dimension onirique, moins parce que l'artiste assimile ses images plastiques à des figurations oniriques que parce qu'il réalise à travers sa propre visualité picturale une sorte d'expérience onirique. No full textWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
