No full textThis article addresses two themes in the novel Death is an Old Story by Hernán Rivera Letelier: the construction of the identity of Pentecostal women and the use of music both in the temple and in the life of a faithful Pentecostal. In the first section, we address three aspects of the first theme related to Pentecostal women: social and cognitive intelligence, corporeality and sensuality, and sexual violence. In the second section, we refer to the importance of music in the temples and the everyday life of Pentecostals, which is reflected in the anecdotes and experiences recounted by the protagonist, Sister Tegualda.Este artículo aborda dos temáticas de la novela La muerte es una vieja historia de Hernán Rivera Letelier: la construcción de la identidad de la mujer pentecostal y el uso de la música tanto en el templo como en la vida de un fiel pentecostal. En el primer apartado abordamos tres aspectos del primer tema relacionados con la mujer pentecostal: la inteligencia social y cognitiva, la corporalidad y sensualidad, y la violencia sexual. En el segundo apartado hacemos referencia a la importancia que tiene la música en los templos y la vida cotidiana de los pentecostales, que en la novela se refleja en las anécdotas y experiencias que se cuentan de la protagonista, la hermana Tegualda

No full textAlfonso Letelier Llona (1912-1994) es un compositor que tuvo una vinculación institucional mayor con la Universidad de Chile, según la tipología propuesta por Luis Merino (2018). Estableció además vínculos con instituciones internacionales como la Sociedad Internacional de Música Contemporánea (SIMC) y el Centro Latinoamericano de Altos Estudios Musicales (CLAEM).
Formado en el catolicismo, en su catálogo se encuentran obras relacionadas directamente con este credo como Vitrales de la Anunciación (1950). Sin embargo, hay testimonio que tuvo dudas y crisis de fe, hecho que se percibe en obras como Nocturno (1991).
La presente ponencia se enmarca dentro del proyecto “La institucionalización de la modernidad de la música clásica como práctica social entre 1928 y 1973 en el marco de la Universidad de Chile”, cuyo investigador responsable es Luis Merino junto a un equipo integrado, entre otros, por el autor de esta ponencia. En este marco, el objetivo que formulo en el caso de Letelier es identificar cuál es el lugar que ocupa su producción religiosa, relacionada con la tensión entre sus creencias y sus dudas, dentro del total de su obra en la promoción institucional que la Universidad de Chile ha fomentado en términos de su circulación y recepción.Alfonso Letelier Llona (1912-1994) is a composer who had a greater institutional link with the University of Chile, according to the typology proposed by Luis Merino (2018). He also established links with international institutions such as the International Contemporary Music Society (SIMC) and the Latin American Center for Advanced Music Studies (CLAEM).
Formed in Catholicism, his catalog contains works directly related to this creed, such as Vitrales de la Anunciación (1950). However, there is testimony that he had doubts and crisis of faith, a fact that is perceived in works such as Nocturno (1991).
This paper is part of the project "The institutionalization of the modernity of classical music as a social practice between 1928 and 1973 within the framework of the University of Chile", whose responsible researcher is Luis Merino with a team that includes the author of this paper. No full textabstract: The purpose of the study was to develop a multimodal transportation plan that outlines the City’s transportation priority projects. The transportation plan created a path to help the City achieve its vision and goals for a future transportation system in a manner that is closely aligned with the lifestyle and the values of the community. Additionally, it will address the City of San Luis mobility needs for the future population, commercial growth, the transportation needs due to the opening of the new San Luis commercial Port of Entry, and the reconfiguration of the original San Luis Port of Entry I. Para tanto, analisou-se de que forma a representação de tal espaço torna-o simbólico e, posteriormente, mítico, tanto no conjunto da obra do autor, como também, a partir desse movimento individual de Borges, no imaginário coletivo da cidade. Estudou-se ainda como a memória própria e o imaginário criaram espaços afetivos, que permeiam a totalidade dos textos do autor.Abstract: This study investigates how Jorge Luis Borges builds Sur neighborhood as mythic space in his first three books of poetry. To this end, we analyzed how the representation of such a space make of it a symbolic and later a mythical space, both in the overall work of the author, but also that individual movement of Borges that achieve the collective imagination of the city. Still we have studied how the personal memory and the imagery is able to create emotional spaces, which constitute the totality of texts by the author
