The Determination of Technology & Storage Period of Surimi Production from Anchovy ( Engraulis encrasicholus L., 1758)
In this study, the quality changes of the surimi produced from anchovy at - 29°C in five months storage period were investigated. The produced surimi was frozen at – 35°C in air conditioned freezer and stored at – 29°C. The total volatile bases nitrogen (TVB-N), thiobarbituric acid (TBA), moisture and the total aerobic bacteria count in the frozen samples were found in the period of 30 days. On 150th day of storage, it was determined that the total aerobic bacteria count was 4.24logcfu/g, TBA value was 2.015 mg malonaldehyde/kg, TVB-N value was 6.3 mg/100g, moisture value was 74.98 %. In conclusion, it was approved that the surimi could be produced from anchovy and that during 5 months of frozen storage spoilage was low and remained within the limits
Bazı kaba yemlerin rumende parçalanma özelliklerinden yararlanarak kuzularda kuru madde tüketimi ve canlı ağırlık artışının belirlenmesi
Bu araştırma besi kuzularının kaba yem kuru madde tüketimini, sin- dirilebilir kuru madde tüketimini ve kaba yemlerden sağlayabilecekleri canlı ağırlık artışım tahmin edebilecek denklemlerin geliştirilmesi amacı ile yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla kaba yemlerin naylon kese tekniği ile rumende, p: a+b(l-e"ct) denklemine göre parçalanma özelliklerini gösteren a, b, c değerleri ile parçalanmada gecikme zamanı dikkate alınarak elde edilen a', b1, c ve L (gecikme zamanı, saat) değerleri bağımsız değişken olarak kullanılmıştır. Kaba yem olarak nohut samanı, yulaf hasılı, fiğ samanı ve mercimek şamam denenmiştir. Araştırmada hayvan materyali olarak, kaba yemlerin rumende paralanma özelliklerini naylon kese tekniği ile belirlemek için rumen fistülü açılmış 3 baş ergin merinos koçu, sindirim denemesinde kullanılmak üzere yine 3 baş ergin merinos koçu, kaba yem tüketimi ve canlı ağırlık artışının belirlenmesinde kullanılmak üzere 24 baş yaklaşık 6 aylık merinos kuzusu kullanıldı. Kaba yem kuru madde tüketimi ile a', b, (a+b), a+b, a'+b1, a'+c, (a+b)+c. a+b+c, a'+b'+c, a'+b'+c+L, (a'+b'+c+L) bağımsız değişkenleriyle oluşturulan denklemler arasındaki korrelasyon katsayıları sırası ile 0.82, 0.74, 0.60, 0.78. 0.84, 0.83, 0.61, 0.78, 0.85, 0.86 ve 0.73 olarak saptandı. Kaba yem sindirilebilir kuru madde tüketimi ile a', b, b\ a+b, a'+b', a+c. (a+b), (a+b)c, a+b+c, a'+b'+c, a'+b'+c+L, (a'+b'+c+L) bağımsız değişkenleri ile oluşturulan denklemler arasındaki korrelasyon kat sayılan sırası ile 0,91, 0.79. 0.46, 0.83, 0.92, 0.91, 0.69, 0.70, 0.83, 0.92, 0.93 ve 0.82 olarak belirlendi. Canlı ağırlık artışı ile a, a', b, a+b, a'+b', a+c, a'+c, a+b+c, a'+b'+c. a'+b'+c+L bağımsız değişkenlerinden oluşturulan denklemler arasındaki kor relasyon katsayıları ise sırası ile 0.41, 0.41, 0.73. 0.74, 0.53, 0.46. 0.46, 0.75, 0.53, 0.80 olarak elde edildi. Abstract Cet essal a ete effectue pour obtenir les equations â evaluer l'augmentation des consommations volontaires des matieres seches, des aliments grossiers, des matieres seches digestibles et des gains du poids vif chez.les agneaux. Dans ces equations, les valeurs a. b, c, a', b' et L (lag time) ont ete utilisees comme variables independantes. Ces valeurs ont ete obtenues â partir des ca- racteristiques de trituration des aliments grossiers dans le rumen, en utilisant l'equation de p=a+b (l-e~ct). Comme aliments grossiers, on a utilise de la paille de pois chiche. de vesce, de lentille et de foin d'avoine. Afin de constater les parücularites de trituration des aliments grossiers dans le rumen par la technique de sachets de nylon, nous avons utilise 3 beliers de merinos adultes. On a utilise egalement 3 beliers de merinos adultes pour evaluer la di gestion des aliments grossiers. Afin de costater l'augmentation de consummation des aliments grossiers et le gain de poids vif. on a utilise 24 agneaux â l'age d'en- viron de 6 mois. Les coefficients de correlation entre les variables de a', b, (a+b), a+b, a'+b', a'+c, (a+b)+c, a+b+c, a'+b'+c. a'+b'+c+L. (a'+b'+c+L) et la matiere seche ingeree ont ete trouves respectivement 0.82. 0.74, 0.60. 0.78, 0.84, 0.83. 0.61. 0.78, 0.85. 0.86, 0.73. Les coefficients de correlation entre les variables de a', b, b\ a+b, a'+b, a+c, (a+b), (a+b)+c, a+b+c, a'+b'+c, a'+b'+c+L. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Morfofonemik Pada Imbuhan Prefiks Bahasa Minang Kabau Dalam Kaba Sabai Nan Aluih Karya M.Rasyid DT.R.Penghulu
Penelitian ini berjudul “Morfofonemik Pada Imbuhan Prefiks Bahasa Minangkabau dalam Kaba “Sabai Nan Aluih” yang disusun oleh M.Rasyid Dt.R.Pengulu. Kaba klasik Minangkabau merupakan hasil karya sastra yang sudah dikenal lama oleh masyarakat Minangkabau. Bahasa Minangkabau adalah salah satu bahasa lisan yang dipakai sebagai alat komunikasi sehari-hari dalam masyarakat Minangkabau. Morfofonemik mempelajari perubahan-perubahan fonem yang timbul akibat pertemuan morfem dengan morfem yang lain.
Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses morfofonemik pada kaba Sabai Nan Aluih dan mendeskripsikan kaidah-kaidah yang ada di dalam kaba “Sabai Nan Aluih”. Metode dan teknik dalam penelitian ini di bagi menjadi beberapa tahap, yaitu 1) metode dan teknik penyediaan data; 2) metode dan teknik analisis data; dan 3) metode dan teknik penyajian hasil analisis data. Pada tahap penyediaan data, metode yang digunakan adalah metode simak artinya dengan menyimak dan membaca peneliti dapat mengetahui proses-proses morfofonemik yang terjadi pada kata yang ada dalam kaba Sabai Nan Aluih. Teknik dasar yang digunakan adalah teknik sadap kemudian teknik lanjut yaitu teknik catat. Pada tahap analisis data, metode yang digunakan adalah metode agih, teknik dasar yang digunakan adalah teknik BUL (bagi unsur langsung) dan teknik lanjutan yang digunakan adalah teknik ganti. Pada tahap hasil analisis data, metode yang digunakan adalah metode penyajian informal dan formal.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, ditemukan tiga proses morfofonemik yang digunakan dalam morfofonemik bahasa Minangkabau dalam kaba “Sabai Nan Aluih”, yaitu 1) pemunculan fonem 2) pengekalan fonem 3) peluluhan fonem. Ada 3 kaidah morfofonemik yang dapat dirumuskan dalam kaba “Sabai Nan Aluih yaitu: 1) kaidah morfofonemik {ma(N)-} 2) kaidah morfofonemik {pa(N)-} 3) kaidah morfofonemik {bar-}. Dari beberapa kaidah, ditemukan beberapa kaidah turunan yaitu 1) Kaidah morfofonemik {ma(N)-} menjadi a) mam- b) man- c) many- d) mang- e) mang- 2) Kaidah morfofonemik {pa(N)-} menjadi a) pam- b) pa- c) pang- 3) Kaidah morfofonemik ba- menjadi bar

Mitomycin C modulation of corneal wound healing after photorefractive keratectomy in highly myopic eyes.

Abstract
PURPOSE: To evaluate the role of topical mitomycin C in corneal wound healing (CWH) after photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) in highly myopic eyes.
DESIGN: Prospective, double-masked, randomized clinical trial.
PARTICIPANTS: Seventy-two eyes of 36 patients affected by high (>7 diopters) myopia.
METHODS: In each patient, one eye was randomly assigned to PRK with intraoperative topical 0.02% mitomycin C application, and the fellow eye was treated with a placebo. Postoperatively, mitomycin C-treated eyes received artificial tears (3 times daily, tapered in 3 months), whereas the fellow eye was treated with fluorometholone sodium 2% and artificial tears (3 times daily, tapered in 3 months).
MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) and best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), contrast sensitivity, manifest refraction, and biomicroscopy. Contrast sensitivity was determined using the Pelli-Robson chart. Corneal confocal microscopy documented CWH.
RESULTS: Mean follow-up was 18 months (range, 12-36). No side effects or toxic effects were documented. At 12-month follow-up examination, UCVAs (logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution) were 0.4+/-0.48 and 0.5+/-0.53 (P = .03) in mitomycin C-treated eyes and corticosteroid-treated eyes, respectively. At 1 year, corneal haze developed in 20% of corticosteroid-treated eyes, versus 0% of mitomycin C-treated eyes. At 12, 24, and 36 months, corneal confocal microscopy showed activated keratocytes and extracellular matrix significantly more evident in untreated eyes (Ps = 0.004, 0.024, and 0.046, respectively).
CONCLUSION: Topical intraoperative application of 0.02% mitomycin C can reduce haze formation in highly myopic eyes undergoing PRK.
