    Correlation of english language learners e-learning anxiety, e-learning readiness toward e-learning achievement

    The era of Covid19 pandemic is where the online learning appears as an alternative learning method. the spread of virus makes reguler education stopping the face to face learning. this study aimed to find out the relationship between anxiety, readiness, and achievement in online learning. Also, this research was conducted by using correlational study. The participants of this research were the 3rd semester of students 2018 (sixth-semester students), 2019 (fourth-semester students), and 2020 (second-semester students) generation. The data were gathered through secondary data and questionnaire. findings in this study directly explained in the analysis that readiness and achievement showed no significant association, anxiety and achievement showed no significant association and also the analysis of three variables between readiness, anxiety, and achievement showed no significant association. ABSTRAK Era pandemi Covid19 adalah di mana pembelajaran daring muncul sebagai metode pembelajaran alternatif. penyebaran virus membuat pendidikan reguler menghentikan pembelajaran tatap muka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecemasan, kesiapan, dan pencapaian dalam pembelajaran online. Juga, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan studi korelasional. Peserta penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 3 tahun 2018 (mahasiswa semester enam), tahun 2019 (mahasiswa semester empat), dan tahun 2020 (mahasiswa semester dua). Data dikumpulkan melalui data sekunder dan kuesioner. Temuan dalam penelitian ini secara langsung dijelaskan dalam analisis bahwa kesiapan dan pencapaian tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan, kecemasan dan pencapaian tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan dan juga analisis tiga variabel antara kesiapan, kecemasan, dan pencapaian tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan

    Pada era globalisasi seperti saat ini tentunya terjadi kemajuan teknologi informasi yang dimana semakin canggih dan penyampaian pesan dan informasi dengan cepat dan praktis melalui smartphone yang diakses dengan jaringan internet dan sosial media. Media sosial merupakan aplikasi yang utama digunakan oleh masyarakat umum untuk melaksanakan komunikasi. Namun, dalam penggunaan media sosial ini terkadang terdapat pihak yang tidak menggunakan etika dalam bermedia sosial dan menggunakan media sosial secara semena-mena sehingga mengarah kedalam hal negatif. Banyaknya tindakan penyimpangan moral dan etika merupakan tantangan dan ancaman dalam berkomunikasi, terutama dalam berkomunikasi di media sosial. Padahal adab dan etika dalam islam sangat dijunjung tinggi dalam melaksanakan sesuatu baik secara langsung maupun melalui media sosial. Hal ini dilakukan agar terjadinya kenyamanan dalam melaksanakan kehidupan bermasyarakat. Maka dari itu sebagai umat muslim kita harus mengedepankan etika dan adab yang baik dalam berkomunikasi baik secara langsung maupun dalam media sosial, karena hal tersebut sudah diatur di dalam Al-Qur’an dan As-Sunnah. Â

    Pelatihan Parenting "Memahami dan Mengelola Perilaku Anak-anak di Era Digital" merupakan upaya pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan kepada para orang tua dalam menghadapi tantangan parenting di era digital. Dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 33 orang yang berasal dari berbagai kalangan, kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui aplikasi Zoom pada tanggal 21 Maret 2024. Penelitian ini merangkum alasan pentingnya topik ini, yaitu meningkatnya dampak teknologi terhadap perilaku anak-anak, serta isu-isu terkait seperti kecanduan media sosial dan keamanan online. Metode pelatihan meliputi pemaparan konsep, diskusi kelompok, simulasi peran, dan workshop praktis. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan parenting peserta, serta pembentukan komunitas dukungan yang saling peduli. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pendekatan holistik dalam mendidik anak-anak di era digital, dengan memperhatikan aspek psikologis, sosial, dan teknis. Kesimpulan pelatihan ini adalah bahwa pemahaman yang mendalam dan keterampilan praktis dalam mengelola perilaku anak-anak di era digital dapat membantu orang tua membangun hubungan yang sehat dan harmonis dalam keluarg

Dari perkembangan teknologi tersebut, tantangan moral dan etika yang kompleks muncul sebagai dampak dari kemajuan teknologi itu sendiri. Artikel ini akan membahas urgensi nilai-nilai Islam dalam menghadapi tantangan serta dampak yang dihadirkan oleh perkembangan teknologi. Nilai-nilai Islam memiliki relevansi yang signifikan dalam membimbing individu Muslim dalam menggunakan teknologi secara bertanggung jawab. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur untuk mengkaji implikasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam menghadapi tantangan teknologi kontemporer, seperti perlindungan privasi dan etika berkomunikasi.     INTEGRASI DEFINISI DAN PENALARAN DALAM PROSES BERFIKIR ILMIAH

    Problems in the scientific thinking process often arise from unclear definitions of concepts and weak logical reasoning in drawing conclusions. Without clear definitions, concepts become obscure, while without sound reasoning, science loses its methodological footing. This article aims to explain the integration of definitions and reasoning as the basis for the formation of valid scientific knowledge. The methodology used is a literature study with a philosophical analysis approach, namely examining various literature on the philosophy of science and logic to discover the conceptual relationship between the two. The analysis is conducted by outlining the function of definitions as a conceptual foundation, reasoning as a methodological instrument, and how the integration of the two builds a logical and systematic framework for scientific thinking. The results of the study indicate that definitions play a role in defining the boundaries of a concept's meaning, while reasoning processes these concepts to produce new conclusions. The integration of the two not only prevents confusion and logical errors but also strengthens the validity of scientific knowledge. Furthermore, the application of this integration is evident in the practice of scientific research, education, and everyday decision-making. Thus, this article emphasizes that definition and reasoning are two inseparable aspects of the philosophy of science, and their integration is a prerequisite for the development of objective, systematic, and accountable knowledge

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
