Social sciences and representations: a study of representative phenomena and social processes. From the local to the global.
Full text linkEste artículo se propone examinar la contribución que el estudio de las representaciones sociales ha hecho al campo de las ciencias sociales. El trabajo explora la emergencia de la noción de representación social y/o colectiva en el campo científico en general y luego en las ciencias sociales en particular, para luego dar cuenta de sus propiedades y características. Se describen los "fenómenos representativos" que actúan en la vida social -se elige esta noción frente a la de "representación"- y se traza un estado del campo de estudio de las representaciones sociales y de sus grandes ejes de problematización. Por último, una vez abordado el debate en torno al "representacionalismo", se propone mostrar la pertinencia y la vigencia del estudio de las representaciones sociales en el contexto de un mundo globalizadoThis article aims to examine the contribution that the study of social representations has made to the field of social sciences. The work explores the emergence of the notion of social and/or collective representation in the scientific field in general, and then in the social sciences in particular, to later account for their properties and characteristics. The "representative phenomena" that act in social life -this notion is chosen as opposed to that of "representation" - are described and it's drawn a state of the field of study of social representations and their major axes of problematization. Full text linkDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação.Este estudo apresenta as representações que um grupo de detentos de um estabelecimento penal de Santa Catarina tem a respeito dos materiais de leitura a que tem acesso durante o período de cumprimento da pena. Teve como objetivo: conhecer as representações atribuídas pelos presidiários à leitura que realizam dos materiais impressos a que têm acesso naquele ambiente, durante o período de sua reclusão. Para responder a este objetivo foram verificados os critérios utilizados para selecionar os materiais de leitura, os benefícios que eles esperavam tirar com o uso desses materiais; o tempo gasto com a leitura; os materiais e conteúdos de interesse predominantes; as imagens, interesses ou desejos que os conteúdos lidos despertavam. Os dados foram coletados através de entrevistas em profundidade, seguindo um roteiro semi-estruturado. Para análise dos dados foi utilizada a técnica do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo, construída por Lefévre e Lefévre. No ambiente prisional a escolha dos materiais de leitura está influenciada e determinada pelas escassas opções e dificuldade de acesso aos materiais de leitura. As representações são construídas a partir da vivência antes do ingresso na prisão, de sua prática como leitores (ou não) e reforçadas pelas condições da vida em confinamento. Neste contexto, atribuem à leitura um papel decisivo na resolução das desigualdades sociais
Biblioterapia: percepções dos discentes dos cursos de biblioteconomia das universidades federal e estadual de Santa Catarina
Full text linkDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Ciências da Educação, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Informação, Florianópolis, 2014.A biblioterapia vale-se da leitura, narração ou dramatização de histórias como possível instrumento de transformação social, pois intenta que o indivíduo atinja a catarse, desenvolva a imaginação e a reflexão, o que contribui para a convivência (consigo mesmo e com o outro) e também para minimizar os sentimentos de angústia, isolamento, fragilidade física e emocional decorrentes de problemáticas sociais enfrentadas pelo homem. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo geral investigar quais são as percepções que os discentes dos cursos de Biblioteconomia das Universidades Federal e Estadual de Santa Catarina têm da biblioterapia, e, como objetivos específicos, levantar suas opiniões sobre a biblioterapia como campo de atuação do bibliotecário; levantar suas opiniões a respeito da interação profissional do bibliotecário com outros profissionais nas práticas de biblioterapia. A metodologia utilizada foi a Análise do Discurso, que utiliza a técnica do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo cujo fundamento é a Teoria das Representações Sociais. É uma pesquisa exploratório-descritiva e de caráter qualitativo. Como instrumentos de pesquisa foram utilizados um questionário e um formulário de entrevista. Com esta pesquisa obteve-se análises comparativas dos discursos acerca da representatividade que a biblioterapia tem para os discentes de biblioteconomia das Universidades Federal e Estadual de Santa Catarina. Conclui-se que os discentes de Biblioteconomia reconhecem a importância da Biblioterapia para a sociedade, apesar de ser considerada uma área ainda incipiente. O estudo demonstra que, na opinião dos discentes, a biblioterapia é um campo fértil de atuação do bibliotecário e que é fundamental que ele interaja com outros profissionais.Abstract : The Bibliotherapy utilizes reading, narrative or dramatization of stories as a possible instrument of social transformation, because it attempts that the individual reaches catharsis, develop imagination and reflection what contributes to coexistence (with self and with others) and also to minimize feelings as anguish, isolation, physical and emotionals fragilities arising from social problematics faced by human beings. This research has as general objective investigate what is the perception that the librarianship students of Federal and State Universities of Santa Catarina have about bibliotherapy and how specific objectives raise their opinions about bibliotherapy as an operation field to librarians; raise their opinions about the professional librarianship interaction with others professionals at the bibliotherapy practices.The methodology used was the speech analysis, who use the technique of Collective Subject Speech whose fundamentals is the Social Representations Theory. It is an exploratory-descriptive research with a qualitative character. As a research tool it was used a questionnaire and an interview formulary. With this research it was obtained a comparative analysis of the speeches about the representativity that the bibliotherapy has to the librarianship students from the Federal and State Universities from Santa Catarina. It s concluded that the librarianship students recognize the bibliotherapy meaning to society, in spite of be considered an area yet incipient. The study demonstrate that in student's opinion the bibliotherapy is an prolific field to the librarian actuation and It's fundamental the interaction with other professionals
Aportes del enfoque de las representaciones sociales al campo de la educación
Full text linkEste artículo examina las relaciones entre el campo de estudio de la educación y el de las representaciones sociales con el propósito de mostrar la pertinencia de los recursos que ofrece el estudio de estas últimas para el análisis de los procesos que se ponen en juego en los diferentes niveles del sistema educativo. Luego de poner en evidencia los lazos históricos y lógicos existentes entre los dos campos, se insiste sobre la necesidad de preservar su especificidad. La autora despeja las líneas directrices según las cuales los dos campos de estudio se reencuentran, basándose en el ejemplo de la situación francesa que ella conoce y cuyos cuadros de análisis pueden ser extrapolados a contextos nacionales y culturales diferentes. Se trata de delinear los esquemas que organizan el sistema educativo y expresan ideologías que definen funciones para responder a las demandas económicas, educativas, democráticas, de la sociedad y de su cambio histórico. Las representaciones sociales dan testimonio de una evolución de las funciones conferidas a la educación y a la escuela, y afectan las concepciones de los roles y oficios de los docentes y de los alumnos. El rol decisivo que desempeñan en la relación entre los distintos actores del sistema educativo es ilustrado con diversos ejemplos. Este examen histórico y documental muestra cómo el enfoque de las representaciones sociales es un instrumento y una mediación en perfecta adecuación con la problemática plural del campo de la educación.The article examines the relations between the field of study of education and the field of study of social representations. Its aim is to show the relevance of the resources offered by the latter to analyse the processes regulating the different levels of the educational system. After having given evidence of the historical and logical links that exist between the two fields, it underlines the importance to preserve their specificities. The author isolates the guidelines that allow the encounter between the two fields, taking into account the French situation that she knows and whose analytic devises can be extrapolated to other na tional and cultural contexts. The purpose is to delineate the schemas that organize the educational system and express ideologies that define its functions in order to fulfil the financial, educational and democratic demands of society and their historical change. Social representations give evidence of an evolution in the functions given to education and school, and have some influence on the conceptions related to teachers and students agency. The important role they play in the relation between the actors of educational system is illustrated by different examples. This historical and documentary examination shows how the social representations approach is an instrument and a mediation corresponding perfectly to the multiple problems tacked in the field of study of education

No full textL’annonce du décès de Serge Moscovici, le 15 novembre 2014, a suscité dans la communauté scientifique, les milieux politiques et les médias une émotion qui s’est traduite par nombre de témoignages célébrant son œuvre multiple, son engagement social ou évoquant l’histoire vécue et la personnalité qui les ont étayés. Ces témoignages ont été épars et jusqu’à présent aucune vision synthétique n’a été offerte pour cerner la richesse des apports d’une pensée dont l’empan a couvert tous les champs des sciences humaines et sociales, ouvrant des perspectives innovantes pour la recherche. Pour honorer cette figure majeure des sciences humaines et sociales, la Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme a organisé, à l’initiative des fils de Serge Moscovici, un colloque international en 2017 à Paris qui a réuni des spécialistes internationaux des divers domaines auxquels cet auteur a dévolu son activité (psychologie sociale, écologie politique, sciences humaines et sociales). Le présent livre constitue une trace et un prolongement de cette initiative. Il comprend vingt textes de trente auteurs, issus de treize pays différents, influencés, marqués et inspirés par son œuvre singulière. Nous avons ajouté, en fin d’ouvrage, la reproduction d’un texte peu connu, rare et unique, l’exposé de soutenance de Serge Moscovici en 1961, ainsi que l’hommage appuyé qui lui a été rendu peu après son décès par le comité de direction du réseau international (REMOSCO) qu’il a créé, peu avant sa disparition, à la Fondation Maison des sciences de l’homme à Paris
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
