    This research is motivated by the existence of a misunderstanding among the public regarding the meaning of jihad. In general, when the word "jihad" is mentioned, some people immediately associate it with violence, war, even suicide bombings. This assumption was also the background to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center (WTC) and the Pentagon on September 11 2001. The change in the meaning of jihad, which should have broad dimensions and not only be limited to physical aspects, has damaged the image of the Islamic religion as a whole. Sheikh Abu Bakar Muhammad Syatha in his book, I'anatut Thalibin, states that jihad is carried out to create prosperity and prosperity for all mankind. In this context, jihad is more related to efforts to create prosperity and happiness in life for Muslims without war or bloodshed. This research aims to determine the application of jihad without violence or war according to the mindset of Sheikh Abu Bakar Muhammad Syatha. The research method used is qualitative research with a library research approach, collecting data and information from various books. Data collection techniques involve searching the literature as primary and secondary sources. The results of the research show that, according to the mindset of Sheikh Abu Bakar Muhammad Syatha, jihad is an effort to create prosperity and prosperity for Muslims, therefore when prosperity and prosperity can be created without war, war should be avoided because war is a medium, not the main goal.Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya pandangan pemahaman yang keliru  di kalangan masyarakat terkait makna jihad. Secara umum ketika kata “jihad” disebutkan, sebagian orang langsung mengaitkannya dengan kekerasan, peperangan, bahkan bom bunuh diri. Anggapan ini juga yang melatar belakangi terjadinya serangan teroris pada Word Trade Centre (WTC) dan Pentagon pada 11 September 2001. Perubahan makna jihad yang semestinya memiliki dimensi luas dan tidak hanya terbatas pada aspek fisik, telah merusak citra agama Islam secara keseluruhan. Syekh Abu Bakar Muhammad Syatha dalam kitabnya, I’anatut Thalibin, menyatakan bahwa jihad dilakukan untuk menciptakan kesejahteraan dan kemakmuran bagi seluruh umat manusia. Dalam konteks ini, jihad lebih terkait dengan upaya menciptakan kesejahteraan dan kebahagiaan hidup bagi umat Islam tanpa adanya peperangan maupun pertumpahan darah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan jihad tanpa kekerasan atau peperangan sesuai pola pikir Syekh Abu Bakar Muhammad Syatha. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan library research, mengumpulkan data dan informasi dari berbagai buku. Teknik pengumpulan data melibatkan penelusuran pustaka sebagai sumber primer dan sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, menurut pola pikir Syekh Abu Bakar Muhammad Syatha, jihad adalah usaha untuk menciptakan kesejahteraan dan kemakmuran bagi umat Islam, oleh karena itu ketika kesejahteraan dan kemakmuran dapat tercipta tanpa peperangan maka hendaknya peperangan dihindari karena peperangan merupakan wasilah bukan tujuan utama

Pembunuhan yang menimpa Fuad Muhammad Syafrudin atau yang akrab di panggil Udin, terjadi ketika Udin melakukan keritik yang begitu tajam dalam setiap kebijakan yang dilakukan Bupati Bantul Sri Roso Sudarmo. Kasus pembunuhan Udin sekarang telah berumur 23 tahun dan masih belum jelas siapa pelaku dan motif apa yang menyerang atau membunuh Udin. Berdasar Pasal 78 dan 79 KUHP kasus selain pelanggaran HAM berat akan mengalami daluwarsa, dan upaya hukum apa pun tidak akan berguna lagi. Demi mendapatkan hasil yang maksimal dalam pengolahan, analisa dan mencari data, penyusun menggunakan metode pengumpulan data wawancara dengan mengajukan beberapa pertanyaan yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh jawaban yang berisi informasi yang akurat dan mendengarkan secara langsung keterangan-keterangan yang disampaikan nara sumber. Narasumber yang akan dituju adalah pihak-pihak yang langsung ada kaitannya dengan kasus pembunuhan Fuad Muhamad Syafrudin, yang bertempat di Polda D.I.Y, Kantor PWI Cabang Yogyakarta dan. Selain wawancara penyusun juga menggunakan studi pustaka dalam mengumpulkan berbagai informasi serta data yang diperlukan dan tidak hanya mengandalkan sumber-sumber data yang berasal dari lapangan saja namun penyusun juga perlu melakukan pengumpulan informasi dan data dengan cara membaca, menulis, dan mempelajari buku-buku yang terkait dengan penelitian penyusun khususnya buku-buku hukum. Hasil penelitian penyusun yang bersumber pada PWI Cabang Yogyakarta dan Polda D.I.Y, hampir sama yaitu kasus pembunuhan Udin sampai saat ini masih mengambang dan tidak jelas arah tujuan kasus ini. Pihak PWI cabang Yogyakarta menginginkan segera dikeluarkannya surat SP-3 oleh pihak polda DIY dengan mengajukan Pra Peradilan ke Pengadilan Sleman. Hal ini berbanding sebaliknya dengan pihak Polda D.I.Y yang menangani kasus ini secara langsung, menurut mereka kasus ini akan masih tetap di proses secara hukum yang berlaku, dan belum daluwarsa. Dalam aspek yuridis penegakan hukum yang dilakukan oleh pihak kepolisian menurut penyusun bertentangan dengan pasal 78 dan 79 KUHP. Selain bertentangan dengan pasal 78 dan 79 penegakan hukum kasus Udin juga bertentangan dengan asas keadilan, dikarenakan pihak kepolisian tidak memberikan kepastian hukum terhadap kasus ini

    PEMBUATAN MUSEUM VIRTUAL SEJARAH PEMBUNUHAN WARTAWAN FUAD MUHAMMAD SYAFRUDIN DI YOGYAKARTA

    This paper reports on the community service program of the invention of a virtual museum with a strong emphasis on Fuad Muhammad Syafruddin\u27s murder case. The author organizes this program using the concept of digital humanities by making a virtual museum and digital map of the case, the iconic violence against Indonesian journalists. It needs to manage a collective memory of violence against journalists in Indonesia, including the murder of Yogyakarta BERNAS journalist Fuad Muhammad Syafrudin (Udin), which has entered its 24th year. The public documents related to the case are rich, among other ten books written by journalists and academics and reports from civil society organizations such as those from LBH Indonesia and Kontras. Problems arise when these books and information are located separately in the archives of many institutions, not stored in a single and integrated data channel. Most publications related to Udin are in printed format, such as books and statement sheets, which are prone to lose. The program partnered with the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) Yogyakarta. It was held in October-December 2020 and resulted in a digital museum and interactive map: http://www.indonesiapena.info/. This virtual museum, as well as the virtual map of the historic location of the Udin\u27s case in Yogyakarta, helps AJI Yogyakarta and the journalist community in Indonesia to maintain their memory of the case and, more importantly, it also allows the general public to trace the histories of Indonesian journalists easily.  ---  Paper ini menjelaskan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat pembuatan museum virtual tentang kasus kekerasan terhadap jurnalis, khususnya pembunuhan Fuad Muhammad Syafrudin. Program ini dilaksanakan memakai konsep digital humanities, berupa pembuatan museum virtual dan peta digital kasus Udin sebagai salah satu ikon kekerasan terhadap wartawan. Tujuan pengabdian adalah untuk merawat memori kolektif publik atas kasus pembunuhan jurnalis harian BERNAS Yogyakarta Fuad Muhammad Syafrudin (Udin) yang sudah memasuki tahun ke-24. Dokumen publik terkait kasus Udin paling banyak dibanding kasus kekerasan wartawan lain di Indonesia. Tercatat ada 10 buku tulisan jurnalis dan akademisi dalam dan luar negeri, dan berbagai laporan masyarakat sipil seperti dari LBH Indonesia dan Kontras Jakarta. Problemnya, buku dan laporan ini berada terpisah dalam arsip di berbagai lembaga terkait, tidak terkonsolidasi pada satu kanal data. Mayoritas produk publikasi yang terkait kasus Udin berformat cetak seperti buku dan lembaran pernyataan sikap yang rawan hilang. Pengabdian ini berpola partisipatif, karena mitra pogram Aliansi Jurnalis Independen (AJI) Yogyakarta terlibat dalam kegiatan dari awal hingga akhir, bulan Oktober-Desember 2020. Dari program ini, lahir museum dan peta virtual interaktif pada link: http://www.indonesiapena.info/. Museum dan peta lokasi kasus Udin di Yogyakarta berbasis digital ini membantu AJI Yogyakarta dan komunitas jurnalis di Indonesia untuk merawat memori atas kasus kekerasan terhadap mereka dan juga membantu publik untuk menelusuri data sejarah jurnalisme.

    Penggunaan bahan bantu mengajar (BBM) dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran memberikan kesan yang positif sepanjang pengajaran guru. BBM juga mampu untuk menarik minat serta menggalakkan pelajar memberi penumpuan sepenuhnya terhadap topik pengajaran guru ketika berlakunya proses P&P. Bagi guru-guru Pendidikan Islam khususnya, pendidikan Rasulullah s.a.w. mestilah dijadikan contoh kerana baginda adalah sebaik-baik role model dalam segala aspek kehidupan. Tujuan dijadikan baginda s.a.w. sebagai model dalam pengajaran adalah untuk melahirkan roh islamiyyah terhadap guru-guru Pendidikan Islam dalam mendidik pelajar khususnya pelajar muslim. Gambaran pendidikan Rasulullah s.a.w. ini dilihat menerusi hadis-hadis sabdaan baginda yang dinukilkan oleh dua perawi hadis yang masyhur iaitu Imam Bukhari dan Imam Muslim. Maka kertas kerja ini ingin melihat BBM yang diaplikasikan oleh Rasulullah s.a.w. berdasarkan perspektif pengarang kitab al-Lu'Lu' wa al-Marjan, iaitu Muhammad Fuad Abdul Baqi dan dibataskan oleh pengkaji hanya kepada hadis-hadis yang berkaitan dengan ibadah khususiah. (English Translation: Use of teaching aids in teaching and learning have a positive impact throughout the lesson. Teaching aids are also able to attract and encourage students to concentrate fully on the topic of the teacher during a learning process. For teachers of Islamic Education in particular, Prophet p.b.u.h education be used as an example because he is the best role model in all aspects of life. Purpose made him p.b.u.h as a model of teaching is to inculcate the spirit Islamic Education teachers in educating students, especially Muslim students. Overview Prophet p.b.u.h education is seen through his hadiths that asserted by two famous narrators of Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim.     The purpose of this study was to find out how the perceptions of FUAD students at UIN KH. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan on the Discipline of Congregational Prayers. Based on the problem regarding the younger generation who often ignore the disciplinary aspect of performing prayers. Thus, the authors are compelled to research how the discipline of students in carrying out congregational prayers. The author conducted research at UIN KH. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan to find out how the discipline of students in carrying out congregational prayers. In research, the author uses a qualitative descriptive method that observes behavior patterns/an object and describes the results of the research in the form of a descriptive regarding the observed behavior or object. From the research results, it can be seen that the implementation of congregational prayers at UIN KH. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan can be said to be good, even though there are still some problems in terms of prayer times. From the results of several student questionnaires, it can be concluded that students already have the awareness and discipline to carry out congregational prayers. In daily life, students have begun to have an awareness of carrying out congregational prayers on the UIN KH Abdurrahman Wahid campus even though it still feels difficult because it is still in the process of building the UIN KH Abdurrahman Wahid mosque where congregational prayers are held in the prayer room on the 1st floor specifically for students who the place is not so wide that congregational prayers are carried out alternately. Therefore, there needs to be cooperation between the campus and parents in supervising student prayers

    Reward and Punishment is a very important element of management in education. Likewise, Islamic Education. The author will examine these two things in two Islamic boarding schools in East Kalimantan, namely Ibadurrahman in Tenggarong and Al- Mujahidin in Samarinda. This research will use field data with interview, documentation, and observation techniques. The validity of the data will be triangled over the data that has been obtained. The results of this study reveal that the process of granting rewards and punishments in the modern Islamic boarding school Ibadurrahman in giving punishment to students through several processes, starting from the warning in place, called to care until given punishment by the caregivers. The implementation of the punishment has its own officer. While in the Al Mujahidin Islamic boarding school in giving punishment to students starting from the warning, the summons to the security office until given the punishment while the process of providing direct punishment carried out in security based on the specified time.   &nbsp

    An analytical study of the theatre of the Syrian playwright Saadallah Wannous, with particular emphasis on the plays written after the 1967 war

    This study is an examination of the life and work of the Syrian dramatist Saadallah Wannous (1941-1997). Wannous's name is virtually unknown in the West; only two academic studies of any significance have appeared in English on this eminent and challenging writer, who was honoured by UNESCO at the end of his life. Even in the Arab world his standing rests largely upon his celebrity as a cultural icon, since professional performances of his plays are rare due to the decline of the theatre in the region, and little attention has been devoted to theatre studies by Arab academics. The two studies in English do not attempt to be comprehensive but focus on particular stages of Wannous's career. This study is, therefore, the first to encompass the full range of Wannous's work. To do so it combines an account of his life which seeks to comprehend the various forces that shaped his thinking with an analysis of his dramatic works. The study concentrates on the plays written in the years following the trauma inflicted on the Arab world by the catastrophe of their defeat in the Arab-Israeli war of June, 1967. Wannous's career can be divided into three phases: the immature plays of his young manhood which are influenced by European models and generally focus on the social condition of the individual; his middle period - the `theatre of politicisation', when his Marxist politics were the main factor shaping his drama; and his late works, which are characterised by an extraordinary freedom of thought and expression. The introduction places Wannous in his historical and sociocultural context and provides a brief background explaining the literary and theatrical traditions of the Arab world that influenced his activity as a dramatist. Each phase is then examined in turn and the plays are analysed in accordance with the focus of the study. This means that emphasis is given to the middle period, but no significant work is neglected. The study aims to trace the trajectory of Wannous's development using a variety of sources: the plays themselves, Wannous's own journalism and critical writings, interviews with his widow, his friends and colleagues, and numerous journals, books and articles, some of which contain important interviews with Wannous that shed light on his thought and ways of working. Use is also made of the two studies mentioned above. The study shows that Wannous's theatre was influenced by the key political, social and cultural developments of his time, and that he constantly sought to find forms that would express those transformations in dramatic terms

    Deradicalization in Textbooks of Islamic Religious Education Material with Radicalism in Schools

    This article is limited to a literature study dealing with radicalization in educational institutions. More specifically, the authors want to add as much information as possible, so that this paper strengthens the study of literature and data that can strengthen further research. The preliminary results are as follows: radicalism enters through textbooks, by changing the religious understanding of teachers and students, the books used are official books published by the government and private institutions through worksheets. Based on the above problems, the author has indeed tried to look back at some of the teaching materials for Islamic religious education which are mixed with radical ideas as revised by the government and by the community to improve textbooks so that radical understanding can be lost. So it is necessary to reorientate the handling of radicalization which has been done and understood by great people. Efforts to stem radicalism, which have so far been more focused on terrorists or warfighters, have not been carried out much as an understood precaution and radical action
