Abstract: Based on the collaboration between Melo e Castro and Herberto Helder for the second issue of the PO.EX magazine, from 1966, the article proposes a dialogue between the two poets regarding the use of the cybernetic method of combination in their poetics. Initially, as of the post-war context, when the combinatorial method became the key of creation for some poets. In the conclusion, it reaches contemporary times, when algorithmic technology seems to control and drive political-cultural goals. Throughout the article, the author approaches some similarities and differences between the uses of the combination by the poets, enabling us to think some historical contradictions in the connection between poetic discourse and technology. This leads infinite and secret as potentially political elements in the Melo e Castro and Herberto Helder’s poetics of combination. Keywords: infinite, secret, combination, Herberto Helder, Melo e Castro

    No full text
La hija del mar, the sentimental novel that would constitute Rosalía de Castro’s first incursion in fictional prose, was first published in Vigo in 1859, edited by Compañel. The novel consists of twenty chapters, all of them preceded by quotations extracted from the works of several writers, most of them foreigners, which were reproduced in Spanish or in French. This article tries to propose a reasoned identification of the specific versions used by Castro, in order to reflect on literary circulation in Europe during the second half of the XIXth century and to elucidate Castro’s reading habits and translational practices. Both perspectives are extremely useful to approach the image of the author that the young writer tried to articulate within her contemporary literary field.

From the Salamanca Statement becomes widespread a concept of special educational needs that emphasizes the interaction of individual characteristics of students with the educational and social environment, making the regular education responsible to face the challenge of attend the differences. Since then, the Brazilian government has been working on this perceptive and has chosen for the inclusive education model, in an attempt to contribute to social inclusion. However, even with this transforming conceptual perspective, it is known that the implemented educational policies have not been sufficient for an effective inclusive education. For to be included in regular schools , besides the problems related to teaching itself - appropriate materials and methodologies - the deaf subject faces problems related to socialization caused by the difficulty of communication with the other children . Thinking about that, the Basic School Castro Alves, from the city of Araranguá, Santa Catarina, has struggled to trying change this reality. The school opted to provide the teaching of Brazilian sign language to the hearing children in an attempt to build the means of communication between deaf and hearing. In this sense, the current research aims to observe if the school Castro Alves initiative contributes to the socialization and interaction among children. For this, the Information Technologies and Communication will be used as a tool of observation, in view of the potential of new technologies used in the school environment, especially in the inclusive school environment

This paper aims to make a contribution to the study of the YA and Children’s play Dormente by Raquel Castro, published in 2021. By reading through her work, it becomes clear the author attempts to “depatriarchalise” the tale of Sleeping Beauty. To achieve this, Castro provides the reader with new content using innovative techniques that differ from the classic tale, thus updating the prevailing narrative. In this review, we will focus on these changes by examining certain key points: feminist features, humour and comedy, and style

[EN] Dielectric spectroscopy in microwave and radiofrequency region is an emerging control technique used to obtain information about the transformation of biological systems. In microwave region, the main interaction is produced with different food constituents and water molecule. In this context, the dielectric properties were analyzed during beer production in order to improve beer quality. There were also analyzed the most important physical and chemical properties of beer through the process. Good correlations were found between loss tangent at 10 GHz and the ethanol and sugars concentration. Therefore, this technique can be used as a fast, accurate and non-destructive control method of beer production. (C) 2013 Elsevier Ltd. AbstractThe work presents potential improvements in electricity metering from applying an event-driven metering, or EDM, approach, instead of traditional time-based or energy-based metering. The thesis contributes a method for automatically updating the event triggers on the basis of past measurements, thereby decreasing the number of measurements that each consumer property must send. Secondly, the author introduces a series of filters that can be used for further reducing the quantity of data sent and analyses the impact of such filters’ use in reconstruction of the original signal. Finally, the impact of communication errors on the reconstruction of the signal is examined. These improvements produce greater data compression without sacrificing the quality of the signal reconstruction. The results can serve as a foundation for more efficient deployment of advanced metering infrastructure.Original papersOriginal papers are not included in the electronic version of the dissertation.Tome, M. de C., Nardelli, P. A method for detecting the profile of an author

    No full text
This paper presents a method for detecting an author’s profile using the following two elements: gender and age. This is based on a set of dialogues, written in two languages: English and Spanish, provided for Author Profiling competence within the evaluation forum "Uncovering Plagiarism, Authorship, and Social Software Misuse" (PAN2018). Counts of lexical, semantic, and syntactic characteristics are used to generate a two-phase classification system, which first classifies gender and then age. The results obtained show that, with the amount of data available, it is possible to characterize both the age and gender of an author with an accuracy greater than 50%. However, these values could be improved by having more evidence of information in the training data.Silva, JesusGarcía, SilviaBinda, María AlejandraMarin Gonzalez, FredyBarrios, RosioLeon Castro, Bellani
