In this report, a computer program was written in order to determine the size of a shaft to be used for power transmission. The uniform or stepped solid shaft under consideration is supported on two bearings and to be made from any material with known properties. S.I. Units are used throughout the design. The program consists of main program and nine subprograms to facilitate the computation at which is based on ASME Code (formula that establish by the American Society Of Mechanical Engineers in 1927) using the FORTRAN POWERSTATION VERSION 4.0 where The Microsoft Developer Studio is an integrated development environment for Fortran applications. This will enable the Personal Computer to be used to run the program. Then the program been tested and the results obtained were compared with the manual calculation validation. The author hope that this program will be useful for educational purpose and hopefully will help to certain extent the Mechanical Engineering Student who are studying about the shaft design

    No full text
The centralization of mining management as stipulated in Law Number 2 of 2025 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining has created various problems in its implementation, including environmental damage, corruption of mining permits, and degradation of the existence of indigenous communities. In the context of the implementation of regulations on mining permit management in tourism areas, as occurred in Raja Ampat, it threatens the existence of sustainable tourism that depends on the natural beauty and diversity of marine biota. This research is a normative legal research that also orients the socio-legal aspects to assess the impact of mining exploration permits in the Raja Ampat tourism area. The approach used in this research is a statutory regulatory approach and a conceptual approach. The purpose of this study is to explain the urgency protection law to area tourism based natural from activity extractive mining. The results of this study confirm that mining activities in the Raja Ampat tourism area are contradictory and cannot go hand in hand because the existence of mining in the Raja Ampat tourism area degrades the environment that is the backbone of ecotourism-based tourism. Protection of sustainable tourism areas from mining activities is urgently carried out by including the Raja Ampat tourism area in a conservation area as regulated in Law Number 1 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 27 of 2007 concerning Management of Coastal Areas and Small Islands and the Constitutional Court Decision Number 35/PUU-XXI/2023, which affirms that small islands and coastal areas must be protected from extractive activities such as mining to preserve environmental sustainability and the rights of local communities. The centralization of mining management as stipulated in Law Number 2 of 2025 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining has created various problems in its implementation, including environmental damage, corruption of mining permits, and degradation of the existence of indigenous communities. Teori ma’âlât al-af`âl dalam maqâshid syarȋ`ah dan aplikasinya pada permasalahan fiqih kontemporer

    No full text
This paper is a literature study that seeks to explore the classical literature on the theory of ma'âlât Al-Afâl. This theory is a concept that focuses on efforts to read predictions of what will happen from an action taken, then the prediction will be used as a benchmark in establishing the law between allowed or prohibited. This theory has a high urgency in the contemporary ijtihad fiqih region, because the nature of contemporary jurisprudence itself tends to rely on benefit. It is the benefit prediction that can be used as a legal backing even though the consequences will be to leave the original law contained in the text. Besides mashlahah, there are several factors which require that the concept of ma'âlât Al-Af'âl is recognized in the realm of ijtihad, such as sad Al-Zarîah, Al-Dharûrah, raf`u Al-Haraj and ta`lil Al-Ahkâm. The conclusion obtained is that this predictive theory is really needed in solving contemporary problems, because the benchmark is the maqâshid syarîahah which leads to one word namely "benefit"

The flood phenomenon in the Krueng Jreue Sub-Watershed, Aceh Besar, Indonesia, in recent years indicates biophysical damage to the land. Floods are influenced by factors from biophysical conditions of the land and high rainfall with small river cross-sectional capacity causing water to overflow the embankment and flood low areas. This research aims to analyse the flood vulnerability level in the Krueng Jreue Sub-Watershed, Aceh Besar, Indonesia. The results showed that flood vulnerability in the research area consisted of four classes: very vulnerable, vulnerable, moderately vulnerable and somewhat vulnerable, with each area averaging a score of 43.0, 38.8, 30.0 and 21.7. Types of land use that are particularly vulnerable to flooding are rice fields with a mean total score of 43.0. The vulnerable classes are found in settlements and moorings, with a total score of 42.0 and 36.5, respectively. While open land, shrubs, grasslands, primary forests and secondary forests are quite vulnerable to flooding, with a mean total score of 32.5 each: 30.0, 30.0, 28.0 and 27.0. The main components affecting flood vulnerability are rainfall, temperature and land use, while additional components are soil infiltration and slope. Mechanised hydrological disaster mitigation can be performed through optimisation of weir, embung, rorak and check-dam. Vegetative hydrological mitigation efforts can be performed by reforestation and agroforestry systems, maps and flood prediction. Non-technically, hydrological disaster mitigation efforts can be undertaken with legal policies, law enforcement, map creation and prediction of droughts and socialisation of legislation
