    Abstrak : Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) menjadi salah satu alternatif pembelajaran di tengah wabah Covid-19 saat ini. Salah satu metode penyampaian Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh yaitu dengan bahan-bahan tertulis seperti lembar kerja, maka dengan penggunaan lembar kerja ini agar semua siswa bisa mengikuti pembelajaran, sehingga tidak terjadi ketertinggalan dalam mengikuti setiap pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan untuk mengetahui kemandirian belajar siswa dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh berbasis lembar kerja siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode ex-post facto. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Kalijati, siswa kelas VII tahun pelajaran 2020/2021, sampel dipilih secara random. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang signifikan  dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh berbasis lembar kerja. Hasil Angket menunjukkan diperoleh persentase rata-rata kemandirian belajar siswa yaitu sebesar 30,65% berarti dapat disimpulkan bahwa hampir setengahnya menunjukkan adanya kemandirian belajar terhadap pembelajaran jarak jauh berbasis lembar kerja. &nbsp

    Penelitian ini tentang pembelajaran matematika dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) yang dimaksudkan sebagai salah satu upaya untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kemandirian belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa antara sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran jarak jauh berbasis WhatsApp group, serta untuk mengetahui kemandirian belajar siswa terhadap mata pelajaran matematika dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian ex post facto. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Dawuan semester ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021 dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa instrumen tes dan non tes. Instrumen tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa berupa soal uraian dan instrumen non tes berupa angket kemandirian belajar siswa. Data yang digunakan berupa data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Analisis data menggunakan statistik inferensial dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan mengenai kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dan hampir setengahnya siswa telah memiliki kemandirian belajar matematika dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh berbasis WhatsApp group

    Probing Prompting Improves Junior High School Students' Mathematical Reasoning During the Implementation of Community Activities Restrictions

    Abstract: This research aims to determine the effect of using the probing-prompting technique in significantly improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities in class and to determine students' responses to the application of the probing-prompting technique in mathematics learning during the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM). In this research, quasi-experimental research was used, a Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2021-2022 academic year with a population of all class VIII students. The experimental class that received mathematics learning using the Probing Prompting learning model experienced a significant increase with a positive response in mathematics learning during the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) with a value of 0.70 in the high improvement category. Meanwhile, the control class with the usual learning model experienced an increase of 0.41 with a moderate increase. Keywords: ordinary learning, ppkm, probing prompting, reasoning Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan teknik probing-prompting dalam peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dikelas secara signifikan dan untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap penerapan teknik probing-prompting dalam pembelajaran matematika pada masa pemberlakuan pembatasan kegiatan masyarakat (PPKM). Dalam penelitian ini digunakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen, desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian dilakukan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021-2022 dengan populasi dalam seluruh siswa kelas VIII. Kelas eksperimen yang mendapat pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Probing Prompting mengalami peningkatan signifikan dengan respon yang positif dalam pembelajaran matematika pada masa pemberlakuan pembatasan kegiatan masyarakat (PPKM) dengan nilai sebesar 0,70 kategori peningkatan tinggi.     Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah keefektifan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan open-ended dibandingkan dengan  penerapan pembelajaran konvensional terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berfikir kreatif siswa. Selain itu, dianalisis pula tentang sikap siswa terhadap penerapan pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan pendekatan open-ended. Jenis penelitian yang  dilakukan adalah penelitian  kuasi eksperimen dengan sampel penelitian terdiri dari 64 siswa kelas VIII yang berasal dari dua kelas di MTs Negeri I Subang. Kedua kelas diberikan pretes dan postes kemampuan berfikir kreatif, dan diberi angket sikap siswa terhadap penerapan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan open-ended.  Hipotesis penelitian diuji dengan menggunakan uji parametrik (uji t) dan uji non-parametrik (uji Mann Whitney). Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa: (1) peningkatan kemampuan berfikir kreatif siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada siswa kelas kontrol; (2) Sebagian besar siswa memberikan sikap positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika yang menggunakan pendekatan open-ended.This study aims to examine the effectiveness of learning with an open-ended approach compared to the application of conventional learning to improving students' creative thinking abilities. In addition, it also analyzed about students' attitudes towards the application of mathematics learning using the open-ended approach. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a sample of 64 class VIII students from two classes in MTs Negeri I Subang. Both classes were given pretest and posttest ability to think creatively, and were given questionnaires for student attitudes towards the application of learning with an open-ended approach. The research hypothesis was tested using parametric tests (t test) and non-parametric tests (Mann Whitney test). The results of the study stated that: (1) the increase in the creative thinking ability of the experimental class students was better than the control class students; (2) Most students give a positive attitude towards learning mathematics using the open-ended approach

    Implementation of Accelerated Learning to Improve Mathematics Communication Ability

    The four skills needed in the 21st century are often abbreviated as 4Cs, including communication skills. This research is an attempt to determine students' mathematical communication skills and student responses in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to determine the significant improvement in communication skills and to determine student responses to the implementation of accelerated learning. This research uses Quasi Experimental Design with Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Pretest and Posttest in the form of quantitative data in the form of description questions and non-test (questionnaire) in the form of qualitative data. The research was carried out at SMPN 4 Purwadadi with the research population in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Sampling using purposive sampling method. The instruments used are test and non-test instruments. The test instrument for students' mathematical communication skills is in the form of description questions and nontest in the form of student response questionnaires.     “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
