Raquel Glezer possui graduaçãoo em História pela Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras da Universidade de São Paulo (USP) e doutorado em História Social pela Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas (FFLCH/USP). Atualmente é professora titular na USP. Tem experiência na área de História, com ênfase em Teoria e Filosofia da História, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: ensino de história, historiografia brasileira, história da cidade de São Paulo e história do Brasil. A professora é coordenadora da avaliação dos programas de pós-graduação da área de História na CAPES. Recentemente publicou o livro Chão de terra e outros ensaios sobre São Paulo Colonial pela Editora Alameda (2007)

No full textThis dataset is the result of the research carried out by Silvia Sánchez Calderón (UNED) and Raquel Fernández Fuertes (UVa) in the frame of the Research Group UVALAL (University of Valladolid Language Acquisition Lab, https://uvalal.uva.es/) whose Principal Investigator is Raquel Fernández Fuertes. In this project, the research is conducted on the second language (L2) acquisition of English Dative Alternation (DA) constructions by adult learners whose first language (L1) is Spanish. The results are compared to a control group of L1 English adults. An Acceptability Judgment Task (AJT) was designed for both groups to address grammaticality, sentence structure and word order of the two English DA structures.
The two DA structures under analysis involve, on the one hand, prepositional to-datives that alternate as Double Object Constructions (DOCs) (1) and, on the other hand, prepositional for-datives that alternate as DOCs (2). The main aim of this project is to explore the role played by the L2 English learners' L1 in their sensitivity towards the two syntactic variants, with a particular emphasis on the potential crosslinguistic influence effects (or lack thereof) from Spanish into English and the Universal Grammar (UG) effect on their acquisition.UVALAL1. who presents a set of travel chronicles through Cen-
tral and South America, from a feminine perspecti-
ve in search of identity and questioning the native
Other. Passionate about writing and travelling, the
author wanders aimlessly like the wind through
the Andes from Costa Rica to Patagonia in Argen-
tina to emerge in the local culture away from the
more commercial tours. As part of travel literature,
the search for the Other(s) reveals alterity and traces
a critical portrait of the plight of the peoples of Latin
America, which result from the processes of coloni-
zation and globalization. The personal encounters
and adventures blend in a literature of the senses re-
vealing the landscapes, the peoples and the winds
of Latin America from a transatlantic perspective.Este artigo analisa O Vento dos Outros (2012), de
Raquel Ochoa, uma autora Portuguesa contem-
porânea que apresenta um conjunto de crónicas de
viagem da América Central à América do Sul, numa
narrativa de olhar feminista em questionamento
identitário com o Outro local. Apaixonada pela escri-
ta e pelas viagens, a autora vagueia sem rumo como

The process of TV mini-series based on historical events´production: the romanticized past
No full textO trabalho que apresentamos tem como objeto de estudo a teledramaturgia baseada em acontecimentos históricos. Selecionamos como fonte duas minisséries de cunho histórico: A Muralha e Um Só Coração, produzidas pela TV Globo, e destacamos a autora Maria Adelaide Amaral. O objetivo inicial era comparar as narrativas ficcionais com o conhecimento histórico. Porém, no decorrer da pesquisa encontramos um produto cultural coletivo e industrial que se utiliza de informações históricas para construir uma narrativa ficcional particular. As minisséries históricas foram selecionadas por tratarem a respeito de temas relativos à história da cidade de São Paulo. Ao comparar a ficção com a produção historiográfica, conseguimos identificar algumas das fontes utilizadas e as transformações realizadas. Verificamos que as narrativas ficcionais da teledramaturgia baseadas em acontecimentos históricos se estruturam com a lógica da ficção romanesca, por integrarem a linguagem de um folhetim televisivo. As informações históricas são diluídas no pitoresco, no exótico, no diferente, mas acabam sendo assimiladas pelo público telespectador como imagens da verdade históricaThis dissertation aims to study TV dramas based on historical events. The two selected works for analysis are mini-series dealing with historical narratives: A Muralha and Um Só Coração, produced by Globo Networks - Brazil, also stressing out the work of their author, Maria Adelaide Amaral. The initial goal in this study was a comparison between fictional narratives and historical knowledge. However, developing the subject allowed us to work with a collective cultural and industrial product, which uses the historical information in order to build an unique fictional narrative. These two mini-series based on historical events were selected because they both relate to aspects of the history of São Paulo city. In comparing fiction with the historiographical studies, we were able to identify some of the sources which were used, as well as the transformations that have occurred at the mini-series. We can see that the fictional narratives in television drama, even based in historical events, are structured according to the logic of romantic fiction. The historical information is diluted into the pitoresque, the exotic, the distinctive, but is still understood by the average viewer an image of the historical trut

No full textEste trabalho resgata e analisa a história do sindicalismo dos ferroviários da Estrada de Ferro Sorocabana durante a década de 1930. Antes da abordagem do tema do trabalho, retoma o histórico da fundação da ferrovia e de seu operariado, desde 1870 até 1940. Narra a trajetória dos grupos políticos e ideológicos atuantes entre os ferroviários, representados principalmente por socialistas, comunistas, pró-patronais e integralistas. Analisa os conflitos, relacionamentos e as contradições entre os trabalhadores e as lideranças sindicais, com a empresa e o Estado. Estuda as propostas, transformações e compara a adesão decisiva dos trabalhadores, que determinaram a característica do sindicalismo ferroviário da Sorocabana.This work rescues and analyzes the history of the unionism of the railway workers of the Sorocabana Railway during the decade of 1930. Before the mainly subject of the work, it synthetically retakes the description of the foundation of the railway and its workers, since 1870 up to1940. It tells to the trajectory of the unions groups with ideological policy and between the railway workers, represented mainly for socialist, communist, pro-owners and integralistas. It analyzes the conflicts, relationships and contradictions between the workers and their leadership, with the company and the State. It studies the proposals, transformations and compares the decisive adhesion of the workers who had determined the characteristic of the unionism of the Sorocabana Railway
Reasonable persuasion: speech in García de la Huerta's Raquel
Get PDFThis thesis investigates the nature of persuasive speeches made by Hernán García and Raquel in order to persuade King Alfonso to turn his attentions respectively toward the Castillian people and Raquel. Each speech uses particular techniques that are born within the genders of the speakers, and each speech is successful because of these strategies. These speeches reflect the contemporary political atmosphere of the author, García de la Huerta's, literary age and reflect a representation of the events surrounding the Esquilache riots. In this way, the author goes beyond a simple demonstration of the world as it is, but in fact accuses Esquilache of misdeeds by demonstrating him to have fallen into feminine habits of excessive greed and emotion that drive him. The author thus warns Carlos III against such influences that are evidenced in gendered persuasive discourse
