Ações de gestão escolar para o uso pedagógico dos laboratórios de informática: um olhar sobre a rede municipal de ensino de Porto Alegre
No full textEste estudo, vinculado à Dissertação intitulada Ações de Gestão Escolar para o uso pedagógico dos Laboratórios de Informática, teve por objetivo fazer um mapeamento deações de gestão que estão sendo efetivadas e potencializadas em escolas da Rede Municipal de Ensino de Porto Alegre (RME/POA), de modo a subsidiar práticas de planejamento e inserção dos recursos computacionais no contexto da escola. Para sua realização inicialmente foi organizado um levantamento dos Laboratórios de Informática (LI) das Escolas de Ensino Fundamental (EMEFs) da Rede, identificando aqueles onde havia indicadores de efetivo uso pedagógico dos recursos computacionais. Esta identificação foi possível, a partir de apontamentos feitos pelos professores que atuam especificamente nestes espaços.Assim, buscou-se analisar a relação entre as práticas desenvolvidas nos LI e as ações de gestão escolar a partir das quais elas se fundamentam. A pesquisa usou abordagem qualitativa, baseada num estudo de caso, onde foram utilizados para a coleta de dados um questionário, dois documentos das instituições e o diário de Campo produzido pela pesquisadora ao longo do estudo. A análise dos dados coletados se deu a partir dos pressupostos da Análise Textual Discursiva de Moraes e Galiazzi (2007). Na conclusão da pesquisa foram encontrados indicadores que apontam para necessidade da gestão da escola planejar as suas ações, no que tange ao uso pedagógico do LI. Nesse sentido, o estudo trouxe a proposta de construção de um Projeto Integrado de Uso Pedagógico da Informática (PIUPI) como uma forma de planejamento das ações.O PIUPI, cujas referências encontram-se no Plano Diretor de Informática (Giraffa, 1991) que hoje é denominado como Planejamento de Sistemas de Infromação (Earl, 1993), deveria estar vinculado ao Projeto Político Pedagógico da escola e, portanto, seria fruto de uma construção coletiva baseada nos princípios da gestão democrática (Alonso, 2003). Seguindo a proposta de estruturação básica apresentada neste estudo, o PIUPI deveria conter tanto as ações de gestão escolar a serem efetivadas pelas instituições, quanto o apontamento das responsabilidades administrativas e financeiras em torno das ações para o uso pedagógico do Laboratório de Informática.This study, entitled “Actions linked to School Management and identify pedagogical use of the Computer Labs”, aimed to Management actions that support pedagogical practices related to computational resources in school of Porto Alegre City. Full text linkEste trabalho buscou identificar os fatores, associados à Matofobia, intervenientes no alto índice de reprovação escolar nas 1as séries do Ensino Médio da rede estadual de ensino de Porto Alegre, referente ao ano de 2005. A Matofobia foi investigada à luz dos pressupostos teóricos quanto a sua evolução histórica na Matemática; aspectos metodológicos do ensino de Matemática, envolvendo a formação do professor e as práticas metodológicas desenvolvidas no ensino dessa disciplina. O trabalho envolveu uma abordagem com professores de Matemática atuantes nesse nível de ensino, os quais foram selecionados, após analisar-se o índice de reprovação em Matemática (2005) na série já mencionada. Para auxiliar a diminuir a problemática da Matofobia foi sugerido um conjunto de diretivas voltadas ao ensino de Matemática para as 1as séries do Ensino Médio.This work presents the result of an investigation associated with our Master Dissertation which intended to identify the set of factors associated with the Mathphobia feeling, in the 1st year of High School. The investigation took place at a High School network in Porto Alegre (Brazil). The Mathphobia was analyzed under some theoretical assumptions, which point out some issues regarding to the historical development in Mathematics, methodological aspects of Math teaching and, the set of selected practices carried out by teachers of this subject. The research was developed with Math teachers which were selected from a ranking with the results of Math students´ scores. We identify the possible indicators associated with the students being unsuccessful at Math. At the end we suggest some guidelines to help teachers to reduce this Mathphobia problem in the 1st grades of high school
Physicochemical and rheological characteristics of Crescenza cheese made with 40% of recombined milk during manufacture and storage
No full textThe impact of using recombined milk (RM) at 40% compared with 100% fresh milk (FM) was studied in the manufacture and storage of Crescenza cheese. In cheesemaking, no relevant technological differences were detected between FM and RM cheeses, although use of the latter resulted in a slightly more yellowish colour than FM cheeses. During shelf life, RM cheeses showed significantly lower amounts of expressible serum than FM cheeses. Rheological analysis and the hydrolysis of the main proteins followed a similar trend over time. However, glycated proteins were only detected in RM cheeses. Low-field H-1 T-2 nuclear magnetic resonance analysis showed a reduction of relaxation times in RM cheeses during storage

Export Processing in the Caribbean: Lessons from Four Case Studies
Full text linkThe author reviews case studies of four Caribbean countries-the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Saint Lucia and Trinidad-and briefly discusses an African country, Mauritius. He compares labour legislation, nationality of investors, technology transfer, and linkages with the rest of the economy.
