Non-parametric Kernel Estimation of Weighted Dynamic Cumulative Past Inaccuracy Measure Based on Censored Data
The inaccuracy measure has recently become a valuable tool for detecting errors in experimental data. This measure applies only when random variables have density functions. To circumvent this constraint, the cumulative inaccuracy measure is a commonly used alternative measure of inaccuracy in the literature. When the observations generated by a stochastic process are recorded using a weight function, weighted distributions are established. Based on right-censored dependent data, we provide a nonparametric estimate for the weighted dynamic cumulative past inaccuracy measure in this study. The proposed estimator’s asymptotic characteristics have been examined, and its performance demonstrated through simulated and real-world data sets
Bonding is recognized as a peculiar property of the arts aging in Medieval societies, this is also true in a more spiritualized sense. This paper investigates the intervention of Greek-Byzantine painters in two eleventh-century Western manuscripts: the mid-eleventh century Speyer Codex Aureus and Egbert’s Psalter, specifically the folia gertrudiana. The former is hinting to the glorified appearance of the ones to whom the earthly Kingdom/Empire and the sovereigns’ eternal life was bounded. As for the latter, St. Peter catalyses the pleas and expectations of Gertrude, working as a powerful link between the living and the dead.
The altar frontal of Cascina, crafted circa 1480 in England and acquired in 1540 by Fra’ Fabiano of the Servants of Mary, is among the most renowned creations of medieval English alabasters preserved in Italy and the sole example in the nation to exhibit a direct association with its patron. The contribution aims to highlight a network of dynamics triggered by the Protestant Reformation in England on the workshop organisation and the diffusion of these artefacts in the rest of Europe in connection with the artistic and cultic needs expressed in the same period by mendicant orders and lay confraternities.
Esempi quantitativi e riflessioni metodologiche
The following essay would like to provide a tool that can become a reference standard in the field of monumental studies. At a time when there is an increased attention of both historiography and public debate to the subject of monuments and place names, it is considered appropriate to try to reflect about a replicable method of extracting easy-to-understand data. To this purpose, the study and use of OpenStreetMap, as a collaborative mapping project with more than 11 million active users, and Overpass, a web API from which it is possible to obtain data entered by contributors, prove useful, if not indispensable. It is precisely Overpass that provides digital historians with the possibility of entering, extracting and analysing data according to the tags of interest and the area under investigation, in the most suitable format. In order to promote its use and give some examples, some guidelines will be described and put into practice.
Revision of Collema Weber Ex. F.H. Wigg. Genus of Turkiye
Many lichens flora studies have been carried out within the borders of Türkiye, and as a result of these studies, a total of 35 taxa, including 25 species, 9 varieties and 1 subspecies, belonging to the genus Collema, have been identified. As a result of the studies, the categories of 28 taxa have been changed and they have been transferred to other genera. As a result of our work, samples were collected from 200 stations. Collema taxa were found in 54 of these stations. Taxa belonging to the genus Collema are C. nigrescens, C. furfuraceum from 12 locations, C. subnigrescens from 10 locations, C. subflaccidum from 7 locations, C. flaccidum from 5 locations, C. ryssoleum from 3 locations, and C. texanum var. texanum from 1 location collected. When taxa transferred from Collema to other genera are taken into consideration, the 4 most common taxa are Lathagrium cristatum (90), Enchlium tenax (75), Blantholla crispa (72) and L. auriforme (50)
Formation of environmental competence of students of higher education
In the contemporary context, pressing environmental challenges, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and ecosystem degradation, necessitate the refinement of professional training programs for prospective biology teachers. The present article expounds upon a model of ecological competence formation that integrates theoretical, practical, and reflective components. The objective of the study was to assess the efficacy of this proposed model in the educational process. The study was conducted employing an experimental design, with a sample of 88 students divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental groups exhibited a marked increase in environmental knowledge, values, and skills when compared to the control groups. These findings substantiate the efficacy of the proposed model as an instrumental medium for fostering ecological competence. The model's notable adaptability underscores its capacity for integration into diverse educational contexts. Conclusively, the study underscores the imperative of leveraging the model in the pedagogy of prospective educators to address pressing environmental challenges
The application of GTP4 Chat has opened up new and more intense possibilities for the application of artificial intelligence At the same time, the possibility of acquiring new and more information in a difficult balance between greater administrative efficiency and the necessary respect for the privacy of personal data The use of artificial intelligence procedures has become massive on the part of the Ministry of Finance, but the corresponding applications have been of a varied experimental nature.
Representing and Visualizing Archaeology. The Contribution of Graphic Sciences to Research in Archaeology
This article discusses the role of images in archaeological disciplines and the contribution that graphic sciences can make to research in this subject area. In archaeology, and not only, ‘visualization’ differs significantly from the more commonly used noun ‘representation.’ In this sense, archaeological visualization is a practice of reconstructing and understanding the past rather than documenting and representing only the material remains that have come down to us. From archaeological drawing to virtual reality, numerous techniques and tools from the graphic sciences are applied in archaeology. Some of these can now be ascribed to the disciplinary tools, while others fall outside the specific skills of the archaeologist and require interaction with the disciplines deputed to visualization and, thus, with the graphic sciences. In order to better understand the difference between visualization and representation in archaeology, the article uses prenuragic altar of Monte d’Accoddi as a case study to focus on the creation of different graphic-visual products starting from the same model, in order to demonstrate the role of different graphic artefacts
