    Kant : dall'etica alla religione (e ritorno)

The current interpretation of Kant’s transcedental philosophy is not focused on religión subjects as an essential point in the whole project of his thought. The author develops this paper on the Vorlesungen über die philosophische Religionslehre (1783-4). In this way the Kant*s concept of religión is precisely at the carrefour of speculative possibility and moral ought, and it means to reduce Christian religión to rational exigencies of moral religiónFil: Esposito, Constantino. Philaethria neildi neildi Constantino & Salazar, n. sp. (Fig. 13,14) Diagnosis. P. n e i l d i is one of the largest Philaethria species reaching a wingspan of 56–60 mm from base to apex (P. dido dido has a mean wingspan of 49 mm). P. neildi is recognized from P. dido dido by the VHW inner postdiscal band terracotta, (red in P. dido, and brown in P. o s t a r a and P. browni), medial postdiscal band white, HW postcellular spots very large and FW postmedial green area very large. VHW submarginal cellular spots white and well developed and separated by a black line. DFW green subapical spot well developed. Discal, medial and postmedial green areas on ventral side of wings do not have silver reflection as in P. dido. This species flies in premontane and montane forest habitats between 100–1500 m along the Cordillera de Merida in Venezuela unlike P. dido dido that flies in lowland rain forest in the Amazon basin (100–200 m). Description. Forewing length 56–58 mm in males and 58–60 in females. Dorsal side of thorax and abdomen black, ventral side of abdomen and thorax white. Dorsal forewing ground color black with green-lemon bands like in P. dido. Ventral surface of hind wings with sub marginal band terracotta with scattered white scales. VHW inner postdiscal band terracotta and wide (brown and very narrow in P. ro m e ro i), medial postdiscal band white (cream and wide in P. romeroi and narrow in P. browni), HW postcellular spots very large and FW postmedial green area very large (in P. d i d o are small). The forewing anal cell bar is brown (black in P. dido).VFW medial cell bar terra cotta with scattered white scales. VHW inner radial sector bar terracotta. Both sexes similar, but female much larger in size. Haploid chromosome number: n= 52 (voucher specimen fig. 15) from N. Colombia. Male genitalia (Fig. 37): As illustrated. Saccus long and slightly curved distally (short in P. dido), vinculum stout, slightly curved and swollen, tegumen rounded distally with setae at the base of the uncus; uncus long and straight, tapering gradually to pointed tip; gnathos long and curved distally; valvae with a long basal hook curved forward, reaching the medial area of the uncus; valvae with a swollen arm with a round head armed with microspines all over; aedeagus long and straight, tapering gadually to pointed tip. Type material. Holotype male: VENEZUELA: Barinas, ca. km 20 San Miguel, 950 m, 26 October 1998, A. Neild leg. Deposited in MIZA. Alotype female: VENEZUELA: Barinas, ca. km 20 San Miguel, 950 m, 26 October 1998, A. Neild leg. (MIZA). Paratypes: VENEZUELA: 1 male, Barinas, La Chimenea, 1500 m, 28 May 1973, J. Salcedo leg. (MIZA). 2 males, 1 female, Aragua: Rancho Grande, 1100 m, August 1987, F. Romero leg. (CFR) Etymology: This species is named for Andrew Neild, author of the series Butterflies of Venezuela, who collected the type material and whose collection supplied important information on the distribution of this species. Distribution and habitat. P. neildi neildi occurs along the Cordillera de Merida on the eastern slope in the state of Barinas, between 900–1500 m in premontane forest habitats and along the Cordillera de La Costa in the state of Aragua. P. n e il di flies sympatrically with P. o s t a r a and P. browni at high altitudes. Host plant and immature stages. unknown.Published as part of Constantino, Luis Miguel & Salazar, Julian A., 2010, A review of the Philaethria dido species complex (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae: Heliconiinae) and description of three new sibling species from Colombia and Venezuela, pp. 1-27 in Zootaxa 2720 on pages 12-14, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19988

    Ilokano Reference Grammar

Humanities Open Book Program, a joint initiative of the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Andrew W. Mellon FoundationThe Philippines series of the PALI Language Texts, under the general editorship of Howard P. McKaughan, consists of lesson textbooks, grammars, and dictionaries for seven major Filipino languages. Ilokano is an Austronesian language. It ranks third among the major languages of the Philippines, being spoken by just over 12 percent of the population. Widely spoken throughout the Philippines, Ilokano is the dominant language of most of the provinces of Northern Luzon and is used as a lingua franca by non-Ilokano speakers in this area. Settlers have also carried the language to Mindoro and to several areas in Mindanao. The Ilokano reference grammar was developed under the auspices of the Pacific and Asian Linguistics Institute (PALI) of the University of Hawaii, and accompanies the Ilokano dictionary by the same author as well as Ilokano Lessons by Bernabe, Lapid, and Sibayan. This reference grammar concentrates on syntactic structures. Professor Constantino cites morphological farms in depth in his dictionary. Consequently the treatment here should be used in conjunction with both the dictionary and the lessons mentioned above. It is the hope of the editor and author alike that this reference grammar will prove of value and interest to learners of Ilokano

Abstract: During the fourth century AD, a troubled period of political and institutional transformations, heir to the agitated third century, Flavio Valério Constantino (272-337) was declared an imperator by the legions of his father, Constantius Chlorus, in the year 306, in the province of Britania. From then on, its trajectory was marked by disputes that aimed at the imperial power centered on a single authority. A prolific author who addressed Constantinian politics was Eusebius of Caesarea (264 / 65-339 / 40), who lived in the episcopal function of that city from about year 313 until his death. He became known especially for his works Christian Chronicle and Ecclesiastical History. In this last one, Eusebius begins his account with the reference of Old Testament prophecies on the coming of Christ as man to the Earth, his birth, life and death; he also crosses questions such as the succession of bishops, the relation between pagans and Jews, persecution against Christians, martyrdoms, heresies, and finishes in the year 324. The bishop produced a description of Constantine, linking his victorious political-military actions to the will of the Judeo-Christian God. In the present work we analyze how the bishop's arguments in Ecclesiastical History were elaborated, pointing to the legitimation of the imperial power of Constantine, through the attribution of virtues to the ruler. We note that Constantine's legitimacy is built on Eusebian History, especially when the author narrates crucial moments in the political trajectory of the imperial leader: the victories over Maxentius (278-312) in 312 and about Licinius (263-325) in 324, in a Christian outfit. Keywords: Constantine; Eusebius of Caesarea; Ecclesiastical History; Legitimation of imperial power

This work studies the poetry of Constantino Molina from the concept of nostalgia for paradise, understanding this as the claim of an original order in which the natural world and the human essenceare the two elementsthat lay the foundation of life. The analysis of the two books published by the author to date –Las ramas del azar(2015) and Silbando un 2 eco extraño (2016)– from that concept allows to encompass the main features of its poetics, namely: the conception of nature as a primitive space to be demanded, the opposition between the natural and the artificial as a motive to condemn the damage of progress, the search for the natural vestiges that persist in urban environments, the transcendental but non- elegiacal treatment of temporality –and, within this, the coupling between the human vital rhythm and the cycles of nature– and, finally, the existence of a human essence that survives, among other forms, thanks to art
