Experiencing Multiculturalism through Literature: The Fruitfulness of the Student-Centered Approach of Teaching Literature
No full textExtremism occurring in this world and, specifically, in Indonesia recently is one form of the failure of education which does not accommodate multiculturalism. Terrorism is obviously the result of the distorted education which only focuses on mono-cultural values. Later, this will develop exclusivism in which there is no room for pluralism. This one-sided way of communication is dangerous for multiculturalism, which is, in fact, basic for human being. Therefore, the paper will explore how literature is fruitful for the students to experience multiculturalism and freely communicating its values. Literature is one of the best ways to lead the students to experience multiculturalism. This is supported by the fact that it is multi-interpretable. Even literature itself has so many definitions though it means nothing without appropriate appreciation. When asked to read and interpret particular literary text there will be so many ideas different one another. This is in point of fact the real representation of multiculturalism in its specific and particular definition. In addition, these colorful interpretations come about as a consequence of the different milieu of the author, the work it self and the reader: be it social, cultural, and religious background. The communication of the readers’ and authors’ values through literature is what most matters in teaching literature. Additionally, the teaching-learning process must emphasize more to embed, grow, and develop the affective side of the students than the cognitive one. And since the students as the readers are from different backgrounds, those differences must be highly appreciated and it will enrich the teaching-learning process. This is possible if the student-centered approach is employed consistently and should be explicitly stated in the course syllabus and also lesson plan. To conclude, it is evident that the communication of the different and various values of life becomes the key of teaching literature in multicultural context. If this kind of teaching-learning process works well, one-sided way of communicating values, which is obviously dangerous, will no longer have a place to grow up, for the affective mission of literature is to be sensitive and to understand others. The students will be more open-minded and will not be trapped in the destructive extremism as differences are basic for human being. They will see life in this world not as black and white but as the rainbow, which is always beautiful through times. Pengaruh Media Puzzle terhadap Hasil Belajar Aksara Jawa di Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar
No full textDasar pelaksanaan riset ini ialah temuan bahwa masih sedikitnya pemakaian media pembelajaran pada muatan pelajaran Bahasa Jawa pada materi yang membahas Aksara Jawa dan sandhangan, sehingga tidak sedikit peserta didik yang pemahamannya rendah terhadap materi Aksara Jawa dan Sandhangan. Pelaksanaan riset ini ditujukan guna melihat ada tidaknya pengaruh media puzzle terhadap hasil belajar Aksara Jawa peserta didik kelas IV SDN 3 Menganti dan mengetahui hasil belajar Aksara Jawa sebelum dan setelah memakai media puzzle. Penelitian yang peneliti laksanakan merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode Eksperimental, rancangan dari riset ini memakai Pre-Experimental dengan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Riset ini memakai semua peserta didik kelas IV SDN 3 Menganti sebagai populasi. Sampel diambil memakai teknik sampel jenuh. Teknik analisis data memakai aplikasi SPSS versi 21 yang memuat uji validitas, reliabilitas, uji prasyarat serta uji hipotesis. Temuan dari riset ini memperlihatkan hasil belajar peserta didik saat pretest menghasilkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 42,00 sementara nilai rata-rata posttest peserta didik sebesar 78,52. Maka diketahui bahwa ada ketidaksamaan antara sebelum dan setelah pemakaian media puzzle. Kondisi ini diperkuat hasil uji-t diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, serta uji-f yang diperoleh signifikansi 49,001 > 0,05. Dengan demikian terdapat pengaruh media puzzle terhadap hasil belajar Aksara Jawa kelas IV SDN 3 Menganti dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,681 atau 68,1%.

No full textAbstrak: Akuntansi merupakan suatu proses mencatat data, mengklasifikasikan data, meringkas data, melaporkan data, dan menganalisa data keuangan perusahaan yang dapat digunakan untuk mengambil keputusan serta mengevaluasi kegiatan yang sudah terjadi. Banyaknya data transaksi yang ada serta pengolahan data yang masih manual memungkinkan pada saat proses pencatatan terjadi kesalahan hitung, penyediaan laporan keuangan yang cukup lama, sulit memantau data terbaru ketersediaan obat, dan menghabiskan waktu yang lama untuk membuat dan mencari data keuangan. Namun, data yang dihasilkan pun belum tentu sesuai dengan aslinya. Sehingga, suatu perusahaan perlu menggunakan aplikasi akuntansi untuk mengolah data keuangannya. Begitupun pada Apotek Asih yang merupakan perusahaan dibidang perdagangan umum yaitu menjual obat-obatan. Dengan penggunaan aplikasi akuntansi diharapkan dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan yang ada. Oleh karena itu, penulis ingin menerapkan aplikasi akuntansi pada Apotek Asih yaitu software Zahir Accounting 5.1 yang merupakan solusi terbaik untuk pembuatan laporan keuangan secara cepat dan tepat. Dengan hanya meng-input data perusahaan dan data transaksi menghasilkan jurnal dan laporan keuangan secara otomatis karena memang Zahir Accounting 5.1 dibuat sesederhana mungkin guna membantu penggunanya dalam mengolah dan menyajikan data keuangan.

Abstract: Accounting is a process of data records, classifies data, summarizing data, reporting data, and analyze financial data company that can be used to make decisions and to evaluate activities that have already taken place. The number of data transactions and data processing which is still manual allows the logging process by the time the error occurred, the provision of financial reports count quite a long time, it is difficult to monitor the latest data the availability of drugs, and spent time to create and search for financial data. However, any data that is generated is not necessarily in accordance with the original. So, a company needs to use an accounting application for process data the Financials. As well as on which is a Pharmacy Asih company in the field of general trade that is selling drugs. With the use of the accounting, an application is expected to resolve the existing problems. Therefore, the author wants to apply the accounting application on Pharmacy Asih namely software Accounting 5.1 a Zahir is the best solution for the creation of financial reports in a timely and appropriate. By simply updating the input data and the data of transactions generate financial reports and journals automatically because Zahir Accounting 5.1 is made as simple as possible in order to assist users in the process and presents financial data.

No full textAsih Orphanage including one of private institution which has ample land
and plant species richness due to greening. So far, there vwas no available
information about species richness in that institution. Therefore, the author
intended to determine the species compostion, distribution and function of plants
in Asih Orphanage.
This study begans with a survey, and data collection was conducted by
using 100% plant census. Each plant recorded the type, number, life level, and
existence position at Asih Orphanage..
The results showed that the Orphanage had the richness of plants as many as
30 type of plants species in 24 families, 152 individuals. As for the details,
namely: 7 types of stake as many as 25 individuals, and 23 species of plants type
as many as 127 individuals. These species have four functions including
amemnity tree, fruit-bearing, wood-producing and tree-producing. The overall
composition types are as follows: Famili Moraceae (Artocarpus heterophllus),
Anacardiaceae (Mangifera indica, Spondias pinnata), Agavaceae (Cordyline
frusticosa), Podocarpaceae (Podocarpus neriifolius), Myrtaceae (Eugenia aquea,
Psidium guajava),Oxalidaceae(Averrhoa carambola), Apocynaceae (Plumeria
acuminate), Fabaceae (Leucaena leucosephala, Falcataria molucana, Maniltoa

No full textPengetahuan dan Sikap tentang keamanan makanan mempengaruhi tindakan siswa sekolah dasar dalam memilih makanan jajanan. Permainan edukatif merupakan suatu cara untuk memberikan informasi, khususnya bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode permainan edukatif terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap kemanan makanan pada siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest and posttest. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengukur pengetahuan dan sikap keamanan makanan siswa sebelum dan setelah permainan edukatif. Populasi penelitian yaitu siswa SDN 013 Satu Atap Kota Tanjungpinang dengan sampel siswa kelas 4 berjumlah 38 orang berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi. Analisis bivariat menggunakan Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian ini diketahui adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap siswa. Pengetahuan meningkat hingga 21% dan sikap 31%. Peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap terjadi setelah dilakukannya intervensi dengan metode permainan edukatif. Berdasarkan uji Wilcoxon diketahui ada pengaruh metode permainan edukatif terhadap tingkat pengetahuan dengan p value 0,013, serta ada pengaruh metode permainan edukatif terhadap sikap siswa dengan p-value 0,002. Penerapan permainan edukatif dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap tentang keamanan makanan pada siswa sekolah dasar

Meskipun banyak perusahaan di Indonesia yang sudah mulai menggunakan teknologi komputer untuk mengelola informasi yang mereka butuhkan, masih ada beberapa perusahaan yang belum menggunakannya, diantaranya adalah yayasan yang bergerak di bidang kemanusiaan yaitu PPA Welas Asih yang belokasi di Semarang. PPA Welas Asih Semarang merupakan yayasan non profit yang melakukan pendampingan bagi anak kurang mampu. Menyadari pentingnya komputerisasi, maka PPA Welas Asih meminta bantuan kepada penulis untuk dirancangkan suatu program aplikasi pengelolaan nilai akademik siswa. Dalam merancang aplikasi tersebut penulis menggunakan metode pengembangan sistem SDLC (System Development Life Cycle). Penggunaan metode di atas dapat mempermudah penulis dalam merancang sistem informasi nilai akademik tersebut. Aplikasi yang dibuat merupakan penggabungan sistem pencatatan dan sistem pengolahan data nilai anak yang menghasilkan laporan. Setelah aplikasi tersebut penulis uji, maka hasilnya adalah, aplikasi tersebut dapat dioperasikan oleh PPA Welas Asih Semarang untuk membantu proses pengganggaran dalam program bimbingan anak.Kata Kunci : sistem informasi, manajemen, administrasi, prestasi belaja
