    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Peran (IPMAL) dalam mengedukasi masyarakat di Desa Lamahala Kecamatan Adonara Timur Kabupaten Flores Timur, dan mengetahui apa Peran Organisasi (IPMAL)  memberikan edukasi terhadap masyarakat di Desa Lamahala. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode kualitatif. Adapun subjek penelitian ini adalah masyarakat desa Lamahala dan pemuda organisasi (IPMAL)  atau Ikatan Pelajar Mahasiswa Lamahala. Selain itu, teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu observasi, Wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisi data, display data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil Penelitian ini membuktikan IPMAL Kupang sudah melaksanakan sesuai dengan program kerja pengabdian masyarakat yaitu Bakti sosial dan memberi bantuan kepada masyarakat yang dibuatkan dalam kehidupan sosial  (PPM).     World Changes currently was entering the era of industrial revolution 4.0, namely the fourth world industrial revolution where the information technology has become the basis of human life. The changes due to digital technology have resulted on disruption that will change many aspects of human life in the future, including the learning patterns and attitudes of students. This is a world challenge education in East of Nusa Tenggara regarding the readiness in the New Normal era and the challenges of the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach and the main source is human which ismean that the researcher himself as an instrument by paying attention to the researcher's ability to ask, to track, to observe, to understand andto make abstract. The results of this study are the inability and unpreparedness of the parents to facilitate their children to live in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 due to economic factors, and the availability of other facilities in the form of Android phones and cellular networks as a means of supporting virtual learning that has not been evenly accessedby the students in East of Nusa Tenggara. In conclusion, it is the reflection for all components of educational institutions that conventional or traditional models learningshould be removed. if the educators are still busy with the past romanticism, then our world of education will static and will be swept away in the world of globalization competition

    This article describes and explains Muhammadiyah\u27s contribution to East Nusa Tenggara. The figure of KH. Ahmad Dahlan, with the Muhammadiyah organization, has answered every need of society, from Islamic renewal to working in the social, preaching, and education sectors. Muhammadiyah has eradicated backwardness, poverty, and ignorance and carried out total resistance against formalism and religious conservatism by breaking down "TBC" (Tahayul, Bid\u27ah, and Churafat). Because Muhammadiyah truly believes that Islam is a religion that contains progressive values. East Nusa Tenggara is known as an archipelago province because it consists of many islands. The number is more than 500 large and small islands, both named and unnamed. The large islands include Flores Island, Lembata, Sumba, and Alor. The islands that are relatively small and have names include Semau Island, Rinca, Komodo, Permaan, Kojadoi, and many more. The people of East Nusa Tenggara (well known as NTT) are mostly Catholic Christians, more than 55%, Protestant Christians, around 35%, and Muslims, only around 10%. Muhammadiyah locally has an organizational agenda as a response to the conditions of the people in remote areas of the country. While nationally, there is a special agenda related to the needs of the organization. This article uses qualitative methods to analyze the data related to the topics. As a finding, since the beginning of its existence, Muhammadiyah has indeed been intended as a da\u27wah institution that focuses on strengthening the capacity of the people. Muhammadiyah, in carrying out its mission to educate the nation\u27s generations both before and after independence, can provide an image to the NTT community that Muhammadiyah has actually contributed to fulfilling the promises of independence. This can also be felt by the NTT community, especially in the fields of education, health, and social. This is proven by Muhammadiyah establishing schools, orphanages, and health clinics. Muhammadiyah has contributed a lot to upholding this country on its path. The strength and spirit that have been rooted since 1912 have been able to survive and continue to exist in this beloved country

    Eksistensi anak di jalanan sebagai penjual koran dianggap sebagai hal yang tidak edukatif karena dapat mempengaruhi perilaku anak. Sementara itu, anak harus berkerja di jalan sebagai penjual koran agar mereka dapat membiayai pendidikan dan memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari. Dalam penelitian ini, perilaku sosial anak menjadi kajian utama karena penting untuk membandingkan perilaku anak ketika di jalanan dan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perilaku sosial anak penjual koran dan eksistensinya di sekolah. Selain itu, peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling dalam memilih subjek penelitian yang terdiri anak penjual koran dan guru. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan catatan lapangan. Data kemudian diolah dengan teknik analisis Creswell, yaitu proses analisis bergerak dalam lingkaran di antara pengumpulan data, pengorganisasian data, pembacaan, memoing, deskripsi, klasifikasi, penafsiran, dan penyajian. Diperoleh hasil analisis data bahwa anak penjual koran di Kota Kupang menunjukkan perilaku ekspresif dengan cara melanggar peraturan sekolah seperti tidak mengenakan baju seragam dan kaos kaki serta sering menggunakan tas kresek untuk tempat buku-buku dan alat-alat tulis lainnya. Selain itu, anak-anak ini juga menunjukkan perilaku sosiometrik di jalanan, yaitu mereka berbohong apabila ada yang bertanya “apakah kamu masih sekolah?” Mereka akan menjawab, saya sekolah pagi jika ditanya di waktu sore dan malam, sebaliknya mereka akan menjawab sekolah sore jika ditanya di waktu pagi.(Children existed on the road as a newspaper seller was considered as uneducated because it made deviant behaviour, while children should work on the road as newspaper seller for tuition fee and daily needs. In this research, children's social behaviour is the main study because it is important to compare children's behaviour on the streets and at school. This study aimed to know the social behaviour of children of newspaper sellers to remain in school. The type of research is qualitative. The subject of the research was determined by purposive samplings such as children of newspaper sellers and teachers. The data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and file notes. Meanwhile, the data were analyzed through Creswell method, namely, in one circle among data collection, data categories, memo, description, classification, interpretation, and visualization. The result of this study showed that children of newspaper sellers in Kupang City exist at school with expressive behaviour who was shown on violating school rules such as not wearing uniforms and often using plastic bags for books and other stationery. On the other hand, they also showed sociometric behaviour on the road, namely, they lie when someone asks “are you a student?” Then they will answer learning in the morning if we were asked in the afternoon and evening, whereas they will answer school afternoon if we were asked in the morning)

    Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah Kepala Sekolah, Guru, dan Siswa. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan sebuah gambaran yang holisitik berkaitan dengan aktifitas siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Balauring menunjukan adanya kegiatan akademik (belajar mengajar) baik di kelas maupun diluar kelas yang saling menghargai, menghormati, tegur sapa baik sesama siswa, teman sebaya maupun Bapak/Ibu Guru. Dan yang paling menonjol adalah terjadinya susana toleransi antara yang  Muslim dan Non Muslim serta perbedaan lainnya seperti perbedaan budaya, adat istiadat, kehidupan ekonomi orangtua, bahkan perbedaan pendapatpun dihargai sebagai sebuah kekayaan yang harus terus dijaga. Aktifitas dan implementasi suasana toleransi dan kekeluargaan ini sangat terlihat dalam beberapa kegiatan baik itu kegiatan akademik maupun non akademik. Hal demikian sudah menunjukkan bahwa nilai toleransi, hak asasi dalam beragama menurut keyakian dan kepercayaan dan keadilan sosial suda menjadi tradisi tanpa membedakan latarbelakng siswa dan sudah diterapakn dengan baik.     Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    This research aims to describe the impact of education on Sumba  Women in marriage culture. The approach which is used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The subject of this research is Sumba community in NTT Province. The data was collected by interview, observation, and filed notes. This data analyzed by the Miles and Hubermann technique which is obtained from the fact situation in the field, reduction data, display data, verification data, description data, and conclusion. The result of the research showed that the process of marriage tradition of Sumba people, especially women in Sumba Regency were already the changing the dowry (belis) which was determined according to the level of women education, and not based on the social strata or her mother dowry before. The marriage tradition process of Sumba people is no longer maintained traditionally, but they follow the times or modern era.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dampak pendidikan terhadap budaya belis (mahar) pada masyarakat Sumba. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat Sumba di Provinsi NTT. Data yang dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan catatan lapangan. Data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menjabarkan data yang diperoleh dari lapangan, reduksi data, display data, vertifikasi data, deskripsi data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa prosedur tradisi adat pernikahan orang Sumba telah mengalami pergeseran yang mana belis ditentukan berdasarkan tingkat pendidikan perempuan bukan lagi menurut tradisi atau strata belis ibu. Proses adat pernikahan tidak lagi dipertahankan secara tradisional, tetapi mengikuti perkembangan zaman atau modernisasi

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja  guru di SMAN 1 Kuwus dan faktor pendukung dan penghambat peran kepala sekolah dalam  meningkatkan kinerja guru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah menggunakan  penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan  adalah melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala  sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah dan 6(enam) orang guru di SMAN 1 Kuwus. Analisis data yang  digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan Kesimpulan. Hasil Penelitian  ini menunjukan peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di SMA Negeri 1  Kuwus, yaitu kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin berperan dalam membina, mangarahkan dan  menginsipirasi guru agar bekerja secara optimal, sebagai innovator kepala sekolah  memdorong guru untuk terus berinovasi dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran. meningkatkan  motivasi kerja guru, meningkatkan profesional guru, menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang  positif. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukan ada beberapa faktor pendukung dan penghambat  peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di SMA Negeri 1 Kuwus, Faktor  pendukung: lingkungan kerja yang kondusif, kepala sekolah membangun hubungan  interpersonal dan komunikasi efektif, pemberian apresiasi dan penghargaan, dukungan  program pengembangan professional.     Variations on the Author

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
