Two Discussions about Two of Sloboda´s Novels
The article written on two discussions of the 1980s is a commentary of the literary-historical changes in that period of time. The author using two novels by the controversial writer Rudolf Sloboda tries to show how critics of the 1980s dealt with their presence in literature. The 1980s were the natural backgrounds for the problem. It is also important to realize how ambiguous they were. What is interesting in this context is the unstated presence of the notions author, subject, author´s subjectivity, authenticity and autobiography in the discussions about Sloboda´s writings. In two of the discussions there appear names who represent rigid or more moderate criticism. At the same time, they are the accurate reflection of the literary criticism in the 1980s ranging from censorship to self-censorships methods
The poetics of Rudolf Sloboda in Astorka Korzo '90 Bratislava
This work deals with the poetics of Slovak playwright Rudolf Sloboda on stage of the theatre Astorka Korzo '90. The artistic style of this theatre is based on the ambiguity between humour and seriousness, the grotesque situations rise from the spontaneity of acting combined with sense of humour and serious elements. This work aims to analyse the unique creative dialogue between Rudolf Sloboda as an author and Juraj Nvota as a director of his plays. Rudolf Sloboda was asked to write his first play, Armagedon na Grbe (Armageddon at Grb), for Zita Furková, meant as a monodrama for her. Later, with the involvement of Juraj Nvota, it became a longer play for more actors. Furková plays the main protagonist Klára, based on Sloboda's memories of his own mother. This work is devided into six chapters, the first one focuses on the persona of Rudolf Sloboda, being a well-known fiction writer and new-born playwright. The second chapter deals with anti-heroism of Sloboda's protagonists and the concept of heroism in the theatre of the 1990's. The third chapter deals with the origins of Armageddon at Grb as a text and the creative process between Sloboda the writer, Furková the iniciator and Nvota the director. The fourth chapter interprets Armageddon at Grb as a text and the fifth chapter focuses on its staging in..

Stoický kozmos, sloboda stoika a akrasia
The paper attempts to introduce the Stoic concept of a deterministic universe and the centrality of the Stoic sage in it, using selected parts of Stoic philosophy (physics of the elements, psychology, causality and hierarchization of causes). The basic line of interpretation is to prove the thesis that the freedom of the sage is based on the autonomy of his manifestations justified by the sovereignly rational disposition of his soul. The author of the paper argues in support of the thesis that akrasia as acting against the order of reason and nature is not possible in the Stoic sage.

The carotid bodies influence growth responses to moderate maternal undernutrition in late-gestation fetal sheep
OBJECTIVE: To determine the role of carotid sinus innervation on differential fetal organ growth during maternal nutrient restriction in late pregnancy. DESIGN: Randomised controlled study. SETTING: University research facility. SAMPLE: Thirty-nine Merino ewes. METHODS: At 113 days gestational age (dGA), fetuses were bilaterally carotid sinus denervated or sham denervated. From 118 dGA, the surgery groups were subdivided into two dietary groups, and their ewes were fed 100% of nutrient requirements or 50% until tissue collection at 140 dGA. This provided four groups (sham/control diet, sham/restricted diet, denervated/control diet and denervated/restricted diet). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Fetal organ weights and hormone levels and maternal weight change during the dietary restriction. RESULTS: Adrenal glands were larger in sham/restricted diet fetuses than in sham/control diet or denervated/restricted diet fetuses (P < 0.05). Fetal adrenal weight and brain-to-liver weight ratio were positively related to maternal weight change during the nutritional challenge in sham fetuses only (P < 0.05). Fetal liver weight was negatively related to maternal weight change during nutritional challenge in sham fetuses only (P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: We have shown a reduction in liver growth but sparing of adrenal growth in response to moderate maternal undernutrition, which is dependent on intact carotid body innervation. This suggests a new role for the carotid bodies in the control of differential organ growth during such undernutritio
Nomination of Realia of After-Funeral Period in the Patois of Eastern Sloboda
The
article deals with the lexical and semantic analysis of the attributes of the after-funeral period based on the material of
the Ukrainian Eastern Sloboda patois. The state of the examination of the subject of the investigation was considered;
the functional activity of the revealed representatives was analyzed and defined. In her research, the author made the
analysis of the lexemes found on the territory of the Eastern Sloboda area in connection with their coexistence with
other patios of the dialectal continuums of the Ukrainian language with the similar or different meanings expressed in
the patios under analysis. The description presupposed carrying out a comparative analysis of the modern material with
the historical sources which resulted in exposing the statistic and the dynamic on the following two stretches of time,
i.e. the synchronic and diachronic ones; the transformational processes which are taking place in the semantics of the

PRIZNAVANJE I ZAŠTITA SINDIKALNIH SLOBODA U DOMAĆEM PRAVU U PERIODU OD PRVOG DO DRUGOG SVETSKOG RATA
Due to the extreme importance of trade union freedoms in the 21st century, as well as the current position of trade unions, the author tries to point out the path of recognition and protection of trade union freedoms in domestic law in the period from the First World War to the Second World War, primarily using the historical-legal method. The paper primarily starts from determining the concept and content of trade union freedoms, in order to then analyze the economic, social and political conditions in Europe and the world that triggered the struggle of the working class for trade union freedoms and rights. The central part of the paper deals with the analysis of legal regulations from the end of the Great War until the beginning of the Second World War, which contain provisions on trade union freedoms. Also, socio-political, as well as economic-social conditions in Serbia between the two wars, the establishment of the first labor and trade union organizations, as well as the formation of the Main Workers’ Union, were analyzed. The analysis of both the available literature and the available archival material leads to the conclusion that during the interwar period the working class managed to fight for the legal recognition of trade union freedoms, however, in practice, the legal provisions guaranteeing the same were almost never applied.
Pre- and postnatal nutritional histories influence reproductive maturation and ovarian function in the rat
BackgroundWhile prepubertal nutritional influences appear to play a role in sexual maturation, there is a need to clarify the potential contributions of maternal and childhood influences in setting the tempo of reproductive maturation. In the present study we employed an established model of nutritional programming to evaluate the relative influences of prenatal and postnatal nutrition on growth and ovarian function in female offspring.MethodsPregnant Wistar rats were fed either a calorie-restricted diet, a high fat diet, or a control diet during pregnancy and/or lactation. Offspring then were fed either a control or a high fat diet from the time of weaning to adulthood. Pubertal age was monitored and blood samples collected in adulthood for endocrine analyses.ResultsWe report that in the female rat, pubertal timing and subsequent ovarian function is influenced by the animal's nutritional status in utero, with both maternal caloric restriction and maternal high fat nutrition resulting in early pubertal onset. Depending on the offspring's nutritional history during the prenatal and lactational periods, subsequent nutrition and body weight gain did not further influence offspring reproductive tempo, which was dominated by the effect of prenatal nutrition. Whereas maternal calorie restriction leads to early pubertal onset, it also leads to a reduction in adult progesterone levels later in life. In contrast, we found that maternal high fat feeding which also induces early maturation in offspring was associated with elevated progesterone concentrations.ConclusionsThese observations are suggestive of two distinct developmental pathways leading to the acceleration of pubertal timing but with different consequences for ovarian function. We suggest different adaptive explanations for these pathways and for their relationship to altered metabolic homeostasis
