Para este trabajo se analizó una muestra reducida que incluye representantes de tres colectivos proteccionistas de animales de la ciudad de Paraná, Entre Ríos, Argentina, desde una aproximación cualitativa. Respecto a las entrevistas, las personas seleccionadas forman parte de grupos en defensa de los animales, ocupando dentro de estos posiciones destacadas como referentes de los proteccionistas de la ciudad, reflejando las opiniones del espacio al que pertenecen y también sus experiencias personales, con un conocimiento particularmente profundo del objeto de estudio.This thesis proposes an investigation on the confrontation strategies of animal protectionist groups in the city of Paraná, from a descriptive approach, providing some explanatory keys that provide a framework of interpretation for protest actions, based on interviews, documentary analysis and some situations of direct observation. For this work, a reduced sample including representatives of three animal protectionist groups from the city of Paraná, Entre Ríos, Argentina, was analyzed from a qualitative approach. Regarding the interviews, the people selected are part of groups in defense of animals, occupying within these groups prominent positions as referents of the protectionists of the city, reflecting the opinions of the space to which they belong and also their personal experiences, with a particularly deep knowledge of the object of study

No full textWhat role does literal meaning play in people’s understanding of indirect and figurative language? Scholars from many disciplines have debated this issue forseveral decades. This chapter describes these debates, especially focusing on the arguments between the author and Marcelo Dascal. I suggest that Dascal’s defense of “moderate literalism” may have some validity, contrary to some of my earlier arguments against this point of view. The chapter acknowledges the strong contribution that Marcelo Dascal has made to interdisciplinary discussions on language and thought
Marcelo Cohen’s Work : Between Fantastic Sociology and Fictional Geography
No full textCette thèse étudie les notions de géographie imaginaire et de sociologie fantastique dans l’œuvre de Marcelo Cohen (Buenos Aires, 1951). Le corpus de travail comprend l’ensemble de la production de fiction narrative de l’auteur (contes, nouvelles et romans en une vingtaine d’ouvrages) entre son premier recueil de récits, Lo que queda (1972), et son roman Balada (2011). La thèse est organisée en trois parties : la première (« Marcelo Cohen et son œuvre. Perspectives théoriques et méthodologiques ») propose une présentation de l’auteur et de son œuvre et un bilan théorique et pratique des notions de géographie imaginaire et de sociologie fantastique ; la deuxième (« Écrire l’espace ») analyse la construction de l’espace dans le corpus choisi dans une double démarche chronologique et figurative ; la troisième (« Littérature et société ») se penche sur les manifestations des dimensions idéologiques, sociales et politiques, et sur les relations entre l’individu et la société dans les ouvrages de Marcelo Cohen. Le travail s’achève par une réflexion globale sur la poétique et l’esthétique de l’auteur argentin.This thesis considers such concepts as fictional Geography and fantastic Sociology in Marcelo Cohen’s work (Buenos Aires, 1951).The body of this research includes all the narrative fiction by this author (some twenty tales, short stories and novels in total), between his first collection of stories, Lo que queda (1972), and his novel Balada (2011).Our thesis develops three domains : the first one (« Marcelo Cohen and his work, a theoretical and methodological outlook ») introduces the author and his work, along with a theoretical and practical evaluation of such concepts as fictional Geography and fantastic Sociology ; the second one (« Space in writing ») analyzes the make of space in the selected books, in a dual approach : both chronological and representational ; the last one (« Literature and society ») addresses the expressions of ideological, sociological and political dimensions, plus the relationship between a particular person and his/her society in Marcelo Cohen’s works. This research ends with a global consideration of poetry and estheticism in the work of our Argentinean author

By outlining certain characteristics of the genre, it is considered the ways how these are reformulated according to the Romantic epistemological paradigm that the author picks up, blending it with concepts of quantum and chaos theories, to postulate a model of Realism. Within this context, the initial analysis of the author´s self-fashioning and essays is useful to think the proposal of a singular ontology in his fictions

No full textDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Comunicação e Expressão, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Estudos da Tradução, Florianópolis, 2013.Esta dissertação de mestrado é uma tradução cultural comentada ao português brasileiro dos contos "Los nutrieros", "En defensa propia", "Los ojos del traidor" e "El viaje circular", presentes na obra Cuento para tahúres y otros relatos policiales, escritos por Rodolfo Jorge Walsh (1927-1977) entre 1951 e 1961 e publicados em 1987, dez anos após sua morte. Walsh foi um dos mais representativos escritores argentinos do século XX,o qual revolucionou a literatura de seu tempo, tanto no que se refere ao tratamento que dava aos problemas sociais e políticos como nas questões estéticas de sua obra. Nosso corpus é composto de contos do gênero policial, dessa forma, procuramos encontrar a melhor maneira de levar à língua fonte (espanhol) as características desse gênero na língua alvo(português). O trabalho divide-se em três capítulos, sendo o primeiro um ensaio introdutório sobre a construção de Walsh como escritor, enfatizando o policial, gênero ao qual os contos, objeto desse estudo, pertencem. Esse capítulo tem como objetivo apresentar o escritor e seu gênero de escrita ao leitor brasileiro. Já o segundo trata de um trabalho com questões relacionadas ao projeto tradutório:a tradução cultural comentada, que servirá de suporte teórico para o terceiro e último capítulo, no qual se dá a apresentação da tradução feita juntamente com os comentários sobre o percurso. Abstract : This Master Thesis is a cultural translation commented from Spanish to Brazilian Portuguese of the tales "En defensa propia", "Los nutrieros", "Losojos del traidor" and "El viaje circular", from the book Cuento para tahúresy otros relatos policiales, written by Rodolfo Jorge Walsh (1927-1977) between 1951 and 1961 and which were published in 1987, 10 years afterhis death. Walsh was one of the most significant Argentine writers of thet wentieth century, which revolutionized the literature of his time, not onlyin social and politic terms but also aesthetics issues. Our corpus consists oftales of the detective genre, this way, we find the best way to get to the source language (Spanish) the characteristics of this genre in the target language (Portuguese).The work presented here contains three chapters: the first being an introductory essay on the construction of Walsh as a writer, emphasizing the cop genre to which the tales, the object of this study belong; aiming to introduce him and his style to Brazilian readers; the second is to work with issues related to the project of translation: translating cultural commentary, which will provide theoretical support for the thirdand final chapter, in which he gives a presentation of the translation made with the submission of comments on the route

No full textEl presente trabajo analiza la forma que asume la ciencia ficción en la obra de Marcelo Cohen. A partir de un recorrido por ciertas particularidades del género se reflexiona acerca de cómo éstas se reformulan de acuerdo con el paradigma epistemológico romántico que el autor retoma, y que conjuga con conceptos de la cuántica y de las teorías del caos, en vistas de la postulación de un modelo de realismo. En este contexto, el análisis inicial de las autofiguraciones del autor y de sus ensayos sirve para pensar la propuesta de una ontología singular en sus ficciones.The present work analyzes the forms that Science fiction takes in Marcelo Cohen´s narrative. No full textO ensaio pretende acompanhar a construção da assinatura de Marcelo Mirisola, comentando alguns aspectos de seu repertório ficcional apostando na hipótese de que o cinismo que se cola à construção da identidade autoral é um impasse à transformação de sua assinatura, de seu nome de autor. A partir de Joana a contragosto o autor tenta um turning point através da metaficcionalização de sua própria condição como escritor no cenário literário contemporâneo expondo as aporias de inscrição de uma marca de autoria. Tal como disse Ricardo Lísias no comentário que fez à Joana, a Contragosto, é possível capturar um movimento de deslocamento da voz autoral na direção de uma dicção mais melancólica e que põe a descoberto as estratégias de ficcionalização da própria figura autoral nas narrativas, as imagens de escritor tematizadas na ficção.
