    Development of Optimal Design Support System for Beam Structure

    This paper is about the development of a support system to optimize the beam design. Designing is known to be a tedious and lengthy process especially for flexural members and it is time consuming. This project aims to come out with a mathematical model that able to shorten the time of designing the flexural members by utilizing software that already available in the industry. The approach used by the author is based on optimizing concept which is a skill that human used every day without notice. Optimization helps in determining the best solution either to maximize or minimize. Each problem has different method and formulas to approach, including the limitation and constraints. It can be said that the optimized result of one case is distinctive to another. This project comprises of 2 phases. The phases are distinguished by the software that the author used. In the first phase, the author used Microsoft Excel application that is already available and can be accessed anywhere. While for the second phase, the project will be conducted by incorporating MatLab software. The benchmark of this project is OptDesX, an optimization software that is already available and used in the industry. Afterwards, errors debugging is conducted before this support system can be tested on external user. In a nut shell, the development of the support system to optimize flexural member is successful and the objectives set are met

    Ethical issue has gain high attention of scholar. Ethic is simple thing whit high influence for company continuity. Most recent ethical study come from protestant work ethic and small number from Islamic work ethic. And most of scholar come from western with object western society. One of purpose of this research is to support study regarding Islamic area especially in work ethic area. Purpose of this research is to examine the influence of Islamic work ethic on organizational commitment as its dimensions and turnover intention. This study tested at PT. Buana Tirta Abadi. Buana Tirta Abadi is mineral water company located in Bogor. 57 employees were taken as sample. Quantitative descriptive was taken research method. This research use some data analysis to examine such as statistic descriptive, correlation, and linear regression. Model of this research is conducting three 4 times simple linear regression between Islamic work ethic and affective commitment , Islamic work ethic and normative commitment, Islamic work ethic and continuance commitment, Islamic work ethic and turnover intention. Base on the result found that Islamic work ethic has an impact on normative commitment with tvalue = 4.808 higher than ttable 2.00 and organizational commitment as a block tvalues 3.326 higher than ttable 2.00. And found that Islamic work ethic has no impact on Affective commitment, continuance commitment and also on turnover intention. The study result between Islamic work ethic and organizational commitment purposed to generalize the result of previous finding, most study was tested in public sector, banking, and author conduct these study in factory sector.     Heat transfer of alumina-deionized water nanofluids in concentric tube heat exchanger

    This research studied the characteristics of nanofluids in a concentric tube heat exchanger. The objectives of this research are to prepare the stable nanofluids with addition of surfactant and to investigate the stability, properties, and heat transfer of nanofluids in concentric tube heat exchanger. Aluminium oxide (Al2O3) was added to base fluid deionized water (DW) with addition of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) as surfactant by two-step method. First, the best stability ratio of nanofluids to surfactant PVP was determined by preparing several samples of 0.50 wt% nanofluids with addition of different weight fraction of surfactant. Thus, each sample has different ratio and being observed for one week by visual observation. Then, nanofluids samples (0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.00 wt%) were prepared based on the best stability ratio. The properties and heat transfer of nanofluids were analyzed at different concentration of nanofluids and at different temperatures (room temperature, 40 °C, 50 °C, 60 °C and 70 °C). From the observation, the alumina nanofluids was stable with the addition of surfactant at ratio 1:2. The thermal conductivity of nanofluids are higher than base fluid and increased as the temperature and concentration increased. Viscosity of nanofluids was highest at 1.00 wt% and at room temperature. The heat transfer performance of heat exchanger increased by using nanofluids. Nanofluids absorbed more heat than base fluid and the highest percentage drop of hot stream is 120% at 70 °C by using 1.00 wt% nanofluids

    Online learning media used by lecturers in lectures requires them to provide several links to materials and assignments to students. The number of links provided has the potential to cause difficulties for students to store, remember and access these links. This study aims to explain the creation and use of the At-Talkhis Learning Management System (LMS) for learning Arabic. This research method uses the agile method, which is one method that is quite popular today because it offers flexibility, so the author can return to an earlier phase if any changes are needed. The results of this study are the process of making At-Talkhis using hyperlinks on MS Power Point to create a format (Portable Document Format), how to use it and the results of the student response survey, based on the survey results 98.7% of students gave a positive response to the use of At-Talkhis. in Arabic courses. The advantage of At-Talkhis is that it is easy to use because its features are common, cheap because the features are free for the public and can be added with various other media to support Arabic learning. the disadvantages of At-Talkhis are internet signal constraints, not all lecturers can make attractive designs and difficulties in compiling what features will be included in the Learning Management System

    PERURI (Indonesian Money Printing Corporation) is a BUMN (state-owned enterprise) that is assigned to print rupiahs for RI (Republic of Indonesia) in accordance with Government Regulation Number 6 of 2019. The author tries to analyze the problem of PERURI and helps resolve the problem due to limited information about reporting damage to hardware or software. The author uses the method of data collection, and starts development by developing a website-based application that already exists in PERURI as a media reporting all problems related to hardware or software that apply at PERURI. This website- based Sihepi Helpdesk application is used to report any damage to PERURI's computer or software to the technician on duty. Reporting on the use of Sihepi Helpdesk can make it easier for employees to report all their problems and will be done according to the SLA (Service Level Agreement) that has been determined by the company. Impression to employees because it contains information from each ticket in the form of ticket status, the level of the ticket and a brief information on each ticket that is reported to attract the attention of employees so that they can report any problems through this application. So that the recording of the report can be submitted properly.The results of the Sihepi PERURI Helpdesk application have been created and used by the IT (Information Technology) Division

    Islamic boarding schools as one of the faith-based education, also function as Islamic religious broadcasters.  Islamic boarding schools have  a high level of integrity with sekitamya and become a moral show for the general public. The science studied is inseparable from  religious teachings, meaning that all events that occur are considered to have a relationship with religious teachings. The educational institution built by kiayai Noer Iskandar SQ is the Asshiddiqiyah Islamic Boarding School which is an Islamic educational institution and a religious social institution. In its capacity as an Educational, Religious, and Community institution, Asshiddiqiyah Islamic Boarding School always exists in developing its educational concept and remains committed as a stronghold of the Islamic shiar struggle. The method that the author used in this  study is the qualitative method. The reason researchers use this is because in this paper, the author wants to provide, explain,  describe the concept of pesantren education thought developed by KH. Noer Iskandar SQ who critically, or describes a phenomenon, an event, or an  event of  social  interaction in pesantren.   Therefore, this type of qualitative  research is descriptive,  by collecting field data and existing literature.  The difference between one type and another lies in  the purpose and strategy  of discovery.  Pondok  pesantren  sebagai  salah  satu pendidikan  berbasis  agama, juga berfungsi  sebagai lembaga penyiaran  agama Islam.  Pondok pesantren memiliki tingkat integritas yang tinggi dengan sekitamya dan menjadi rnjukan moral bagi masyarakat umum. Ilmu yang dipelajari tak pemah terpisahkan dari ajaran agama, artinya semua peristiwa yang terjadi dipandang memiliki hubungan dengan ajaran agama.. Lembaga Pendidikan yang dibangun oleh kiayai Noer Iskandar SQ adalah  Pondok Pesantren Asshiddiqiyah yang merupakan sebuah lembaga pendidikan Islam dan lembaga sosial keagamaan. Dalam kapasitasnya sebagai lembaga Pendidikan, Keagamaan, dan Kemasyarakatan, Pondok Pesantren Asshiddiqiyah senantiasa eksis dalam mengembangkan konsep Pendidikannya dan tetap pada komitmennya sebagai benteng perjuangan syiar Islam.     Construction of an Adaptive Blended Curriculum (ABC) model in implementing local content curriculum

    Indonesia is famous for its rich and diverse local wisdom. This diversity makes the wealth of human resources has the potential that can be developed in the realm of local content curriculum. It clearly aims to maintain Indonesia's cultural and natural diversity, and can be a source of local economic development and environmental sustainability. Through these considerations, this article reviews the construction of an adaptive blended curriculum (ABC) model that aims to manifest the potential of local content using a narrative approach. This implies that the author presents the results of the review based on existing literature. The review revealed the ABC Model as a curriculum construct oriented towards a combination of adaptive learning, adaptive curriculum and blended learning concepts adaptable to existing local potential. So, the submission of this model is considered important to optimize regional potential through the application of local content curriculum. Thus, this article can be used as a consideration of appropriate curriculum models that optimize the potential of local wisdom in Indonesia. Abstrak Indonesia terkenal dengan kearifan lokal yang sangat kaya dan beragam. Keberagaman ini menjadikan kekayaan sumber daya manusia memiliki potensi yang bisa dikembangkan dalam ranah kurikulum muatan lokal. Ini secara jelas bertujuan untuk mempertahankan keanekaragaman budaya dan alam Indonesia, serta dapat menjadi sumber pengembangan ekonomi lokal dan keberlanjutan lingkungan. Melalui pertimbangan tersebut, maka artikel ini meninjau konstruksi model adaptive blended curriculum (ABC) yang bertujuan untuk memanifestasikan potensi muatan lokal dengan menggunakan pendekatan naratif. Ini berarti penulis memaparkan hasil tinjauan berdasarkan literatur-literatur yang ada. Hasil tinjauan mengungkapkan Model ABC sebagai konstruk kurikulum yang berorientasi pada gabungan konsep adaptive learning, adaptive curriculum dan blended learning yang bisa diadaptasikan dengan potensi lokal yang ada. Maka, pengajuan model ini dirasa penting untuk mengoptimalkan potensi daerah melalui penerapan kurikulum muatan lokal. Dengan demikian, artikel ini bisa dijadikan sebagai bahan pertimbangan model kurikulum tepat guna (appropriate) yang mengoptimasi potensi kearifan lokal di Indonesia.     ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik kelas XII dalam mengidentifikasi informasi dalam teks cerita sejarah dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas XII IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Baregbeg. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model discovery learning efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam mengidentifikasi orientasi, rangkaian kejadian, komplikasi, dan resolusi dalam teks cerita sejarah. Melalui kegiatan pembelajaran yang aktif dan berpusat pada siswa, siswa mampu menemukan sendiri konsep-konsep penting dalam teks sejarah. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah pentingnya penggunaan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik materi dan peserta didik untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran sejarah. Dalam peningkatan kemampuan mengidentifikasi informasi, yang mencakup orientasi, rangkaian kejadian yang saling berkaitan, komplikasi dan resolusi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning yang terdiri dari dua siklus dengan siklus kesatu menunjukan hasil bahwa dari jumlah keseluruhan peserta didik kelas XII IPS 3 di SMA Negeri 1 Baregbeg yang terdiri dari 29 orang terdapat peserta didik yang sudah mencapai KKM sebanyak sebanyak 17 orang (59%) dan peserta didik yang belum mencapai KKM sebanyak 12 orang (41%). Sedangkan pada siklus kedua, kemampuan peserta didik dalam mengidentifikasi informasi, yang mencakup orientasi, rangkaian kejadian yang saling berkaitan, komplikasi dan resolusi mengalami peningkatan. Hal tersebut terlihat dari hasil post test yang dilakukan bahwa peserta didik kelas XII IPS 3 di SMA Negeri 1 Baregbeg yang terdiri dari 29 orang, terdapat peserta didik yang sudah mencapai KKM sebanyak 26 orang (90%) dan peserta didik yang belum mencapai KKM sebanyak 3 orang (10%).  Dengan demikian, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran discovery learning mampu meningkatkan kemampuan mengidentifikasi informasi, yang mencakup orientasi, rangkaian kejadian yang saling berkaitan, komplikasi dan resolusi pada peserta didik kelas XII IPS 3 di SMA Negeri 1 Baregbeg tahun ajaran 2024/2025.  Penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas model pembelajaran discovery learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas XII IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Baregbeg dalam mengidentifikasi informasi teks cerita sejarah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada kemampuan siswa setelah penerapan model tersebut. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi pendidik untuk mempertimbangkan penggunaan model discovery learning dalam pembelajaran teks cerita sejarah, mengingat kemampuan mengidentifikasi informasi merupakan keterampilan esensial dalam proses membaca dan memahami teks.Kata kunci: discovery learning, teks cerita sejarah, identifikasi informasi, penelitian tindakan kelasABSTRACTThis study aims to improve the ability of XII grade students in identifying information in historical story text by using the discovery learning model. This class action research was conducted on students of class XII IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Baregbeg. The results showed that the discovery learning model was effective in improving students' ability to identify orientation, sequence of events, complications, and resolution in historical story texts. Through active and student-centred learning activities, students are able to discover important concepts in historical texts on their own. The implication of this research is the importance of using learning models that are in accordance with the characteristics of the material and students to improve the quality of history learning. In improving the ability to identify information, which includes orientation, a series of interrelated events, complications and resolutions using the discovery learning model consisting of two cycles with the first cycle showing the results that from the total number of students in class XII IPS 3 at SMA Negeri 1 Baregbeg consisting of 29 people there are students who have reached the KKM as many as 17 people (59%) and students who have not reached the KKM as many as 12 people (41%). Whereas in the second cycle, the ability of students to identify information, which includes orientation, a series of interrelated events, complications and resolutions has increased. It can be seen from the results of the post test that students of class XII IPS 3 at SMA Negeri 1 Baregbeg consisting of 29 people, there are 26 students who have reached the KKM (90%) and 3 students who have not reached the KKM (10%).  Thus, the author concludes that the use of the discovery learning model is able to improve the ability to identify information, which includes orientation, a series of interrelated events, complications and resolutions in class XII IPS 3 students at SMA Negeri 1 Baregbeg in the 2024/2025 school year.  This study examines the effectiveness of the discovery learning model in improving the ability of students of class XII IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Baregbeg in identifying information in historical story texts. The results showed a significant improvement in students' abilities after the application of the model. The findings provide important implications for educators to consider using the discovery learning model in learning historical story texts, considering that the ability to identify information is an essential skill in the process of reading and understanding texts.Keywords: discovery learning, historical story texts, information identification, classroom action research

    The Perception on Pathology Museum in Learning Pathology: A Survey of Undergraduate Medical Students at the Universiti Kuala Lumpur Royal College of Medicine Perak

    Background: Pathology has traditionally been taught at medical schools through theoretical and practical teaching activities, oral lectures, clinical autopsies, and the display of macro-and microscopic specimens in pathology museums. On the other hand, the role of pathology museums has declined significantly in recent years. This study aimed to assess the perception of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) students in using the pathology museum of the Universiti Kuala Lumpur, Royal College of Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP) and its role in teaching pathology. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted as an online survey on 284 MBBS students using a self-administered, questionnaire. The questionnaire include sociodemographic characteristics of medical students, their basic knowledge, attitude and their perception towards pathology museum. Results: The response rate to the online survey was 100% (n=284) Most respondents (n=265, 93.31%) had good perceptions of the pathology museum. Eighteen respondents (6.34%) were neutral about the pathology museum, and one respondent had a poor perception. Despite the good perception, about half (53.5%) of students only sometimes visit the museum. Conclusion: The study revealed that undergraduate medical students of UniKL RCMP have a good perception of the pathology museum, and the highest frequency is seen in Year 5 (senior level) medical students. Students welcomed any improvement to the pathology museum, especially the incorporation of innovative technology
