Full text linkData dari Kompas menyatakan bahwa setiap harinya Jakarta menghasilkan sampah plastik sebanyak 1900-2400 ton. Plastik yang mencemari lingkungan dapat memberikan dampak buruk bagi makhluk hidup di sekitarnya. Kualitas air dan tanah yang semakin menurun juga memberikan dampak buruk bagi makanan yang dikonsumsi oleh manusia, dengan begitu manusia sendiri juga merasakan dampak negatif dari pencemaran sampah plastik. Penggunaan plastik dalam aktifitas sehari-hari menjadi kebiasaan yang sulit diubah. Avani Eco merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi plastik dan kemasan dengan bahan dasar alami seperti singkong. Dalam hal ini Avani Eco menawarkan solusi di mana masyarakat dapat tetap menggunakan kantong plastik tetapi tetap menjaga lingkungan. Namun banyak masyarakat dan pemilik usaha yang belum mengenal produk tersebut khususnya di Jakarta. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara penulis dengan Rennalya selaku Digital Marketing dari Avani Eco menyatakan bahwa belum terdapat promosi di Jakarta. Fenomena tersebut menjadi alasan bagi penulis untuk melakukan perancangan promosi untuk Avani Eco agar kedepannya pemilik usaha mengenal produk tersebut dan beralih dari yang sebelumnya menggunakan plastik konvensional menjadi plastik ramah lingkungan dari Avani Eco

Supermarkets and the organic food supply chain: the potential for waste generation and its mitigation
No full textThis paper discusses the role of multiple grocery retailers ('supermarkets') within the organic food industry. While the background to the object industry (in terms of both the incentive(s) to buy organic food and the ensuing market demand/supply statistics) has to be presented such as to justify the topic as one worthy of academic interest, the main concern of this paper is with the potential within the relevant industry for waste generation to occur. The potential for such an eventuality is identified via a detailed analysis of: the industry's attempts to ensure the integrity of its organic supplies via the imposition of standards that exceed mandatory (hence EU) requirements, thus potentially exerting pressure on suppliers; the pricing policies applied by the supermarkets; the extent of their domestic sourcing versus imports; the GM 'contamination' debate and supplier cooperation via advice, research and the encouragement of partnership schemes. A critique of the present situation regarding all these issues is combined with an analysis of present initiatives to reduce the incidence of waste that might erstwhile occur, together with suggestions for further improvements – although ultimately it appears likely that 'mitigation' is a more likely future scenario than 'minimisation'. <br/
The educational potential of social economy projects in the Himalayas: the case of Avani
Full text linkIn this article we analyze the social economy projects of Avani – a Community Based Organization based in Himalayas and reflect on their potential for enabling a critical pedagogy of place. We use the concept of tactics in a spatial and educational sense to explore Avani’s projects as an intervention within the dominant place logic of capitalism that opens market opportunities and enables new experiences of living and being for hill communities. We argue that these experiences are educational since they invoke, what we want to call, the possibility to verify one’s equality and one’s ability to do something. Our study is based on an ethnographic case approach and combines literature review, staff interviews and documents of Avani along with sensitizing concepts to guide our analysis

No full textPerusahaan jasa dalam melakukan kegiatan operasionalnya setiap hari membutuhkan suatu sistem yang dapat membantu manajemen perusahaan agar dapat memperoleh informasi yang tepat dan akurat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pendapatan atas penjualan kamar secara offline maupun online di Avani Seminyak Bali Resort dari bulan Agustus sampai Oktober 2023. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif yang tujuannya untuk memberikan gambaran secara sistematis mengenai fokus penelitian yaitu pendapatan atas penjualan kamar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan atas penjualan kamar secara offline maupun online di Avani Seminyak Bali Resort sesuai dengan sistem yang diterapkan cukup bagus karena telah menerapkan sistem manajemen properti yang mampu membantu pekerjaan menjadi lebih mudah, efektif dan efisien
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
