The Future of Sailing Cargo
No full textIn this work, I take look into the future of sailing cargo ships and present current existing projects. The aim is to gain understanding on the motivations of sail cargo projects and people beyond, and the aspects that leads the future of Sail Cargo projects.
Sail cargo vessels divides into three categories: auxiliary wind propulsion vessels, hybrid vessels and pure sailing vessels. Auxiliary and hybrid vessels use motor accompanied with the sails for maintaining schedules, but gain benefit from the sails for fuel, emission and cost savings. Pure sailing vessels may have auxiliary engine for temporarily use for port or channel maneuvers, but trade otherwise using nearly only sails. Currently, there are a handful auxiliary wind propulsion vessels (both, retrofitted and soon about new builds), whereas hybrid vessels (like Ecoliner type of designs) has existed a while on a drawing board but none actually built yet. Pure sailing vessels are mainly small projects and they may sail because of there are lots enthusiasm and volunteer work involved, even though new sustainable business initiatives are born around these adventurous projects. There are a handful of these pure sailing cargo vessels today. Regardless their size, they carry a strong message beyond their cargo: our lifestyle is unsustainable, and we divest the life of our home planet and others far away. In the end it does not matter how clean technology we have, the current system itself is destructive socially and to the planet and to ourselves.Contact details: jasper.armanto ( at ) gmail.com

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan pengetahuan kesehatan reproduksi melalui layanan informasi pada siswa kelas X.B di SMA N 1 Pemalang
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan (action research) dengan mengacu pada pendapat Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang dilakukan dalam dua kali siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa X.B yang berjumlah 35 orang. Tempat penelitian di SMA N 1 Pemalang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dengan satu instrumen yaitu teknik tes pengetahuan kesehatan reproduksi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan kesehatan reproduksi siswa setelah diberikan layanan informasi. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada peningkatan rata-rata nilai tes pengetahuan kesehatan reproduksi dimana rata-rata nilai sebelum tindakan adalah 20,4 pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 25, karena belum mencapai criteria keberhasilan sebanyak 80% akhirnya dilakukan siklus II dan meningkat menjadi 29,4. Juga diperkuat dengan hasil pengamatan siklus II yang menunjukkan siswa telah memahami resiko hubungan seks sebelum menikah, mengetahui macam – macam penyakit menular seksual, mengetahui fungsi organ anatomi reproduksi dan tahu bagaimana menjaga kebersihan organ reproduksi.

Developing Learning Trajectory For Enhancing Students’ Relational Thinking
No full textAlgebra is part of Mathematics learning in Indonesian curriculum. It takes one half of the teaching hours in senior high school, and one third in junior high school. However, the learning trajectory of Algebra needs to be improved because teachers teach computational thinking by applying paper-and-pencil strategy combining with the concepts-operations-example-drilling approach. Mathematics textbooks do not give enough guidance for teachers to conduct good activities in the classroom to promote algebraic thinking especially in the primary schools.
To reach Indonesian Mathematics teaching goals, teachers should develop learning trajectories based on pedagogical and theoretical backgrounds. Teachers need to have knowledge of student’s developmental progressions and understanding of mathematics concepts and students’ thinking. Research shows that teachers’ knowledge of student’s mathematical development is related to their students’ achievement. In fostering a greater emphasis on algebraic thinking, teachers and textbooks need to work more closely together to develop a clearer learning trajectory. Having this algebraic thinking, students developed not only their own character of learning and thinking but also their attitude, attention and discipline.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

The purpose of this study is to know the effect of Earning per Share, Leverage, Liquidity, and Investment Opportunity Set on Service Firm Dividend Policy listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange Period 2008-2012. The sample is from 21 companies. The research model in this study employs panel data analysis with fixed effect model approach. The empirical result shows that earning per share and liquidity has positive and significant effect on dividend policy but leverage
has positive and not significant effect and also investment opportunity set has negative and not significant effect on dividend policy. Simultaneous test shows that earning per share, leverage, liquidity, and investment opportunity set effects the dividend policy.

Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
