Aliyah and Identity in Israeli-Russian Literature
The mass migration of almost a million Russian speakers to Israel following the collapse of the Soviet Union, referred to as the Great Aliyah, marked a significant turning point in the history of Zionism. Unlike in previous waves of migration, the immigrants of the Great Aliyah defied assimilatory pressures and used the strength of their demography to build a Russian-language cultural enclave, asserting their unique identity at the expense of a speedier integration into the Israeli mainstream. This important migrant group forced the Israeli state to adopt a multiculturalist model at the expense of its traditional melting pot approach to integration. The Great Aliyah spawned a vibrant Russian-language cultural scene in Israel, and created the new literary genre of Israeli-Russian fiction. This paper seeks to examine this phenomenon, with particular focus on Israeli-Russian notions of identity, through an analysis of the work of two prominent writers: Dina Rubina, who publishes in Russian, and Ola Groisman, who publishes in Hebrew

Implementasi Kegiatan Pojok Baca Untuk Meningkatkan Minat dan Literasi Membaca Peserta Didik di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Sumenep
Hasil evaluasi internal Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Sumenep menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa mempunyai tingkat kompetensi membaca yang rendah. Mereka sering mengalami kesulitan memahami teks, merumuskan pemahaman, dan mengekstraksi informasi penting dari bahan bacaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat dan literasi membaca siswa dengan melaksanakan program kegiatan sudut membaca melalui penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 4 langkah yaitu perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi dengan dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siklus 1 memiliki rata-rata tingkat literasi membaca sebesar 3,4 dan rata-rata minat membaca sebesar 35,3%. Kemudian pada siklus 2 terjadi peningkatan literasi membaca rata-rata sebesar 3,7 dan minat membaca rata-rata sebesar 51,7%. Kegiatan program Pojok Baca dapat efektif dalam meningkatkan minat dan literasi membaca dengan menerapkan pendekatan personal, strategi membaca aktif, penugasan menulis resensi buku dan kegiatan diskusi

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggali bagaimana program supervisi akademik yang dilakukan kepala Madrasah di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Karawang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara serta dokumentasi, subjek penelitian adalah kepala madrasah, wakil kepala madrasah bidang kurikulum dan guru-guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pelaksanaan supervisi di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Karawang dilakukan dengan cara membuat perencanaan, melaksanakan supervisi dan menindak lanjuti hasil supervisi, Teknik yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan Supervisi Kepala Madrasah Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Karawang menggunakan Teknik secara langsung dilakukan perindividu dengan guru-guru yang akan di supervisi, dan teknik perkelempok yaitu dengan pelatihan rapat rutin maupun diskusi, pendekatan yang dilakukan kepala madrasah yaitu dengan pendekatan secara langsung yaitu dengan meninjau secara langsung di ruangan kelas. Pendekatan secara tidak langsung yaitu dengan melihat atau meninjau dengan tidak masuk keruangan kelas dan menilai di luar jam pelajaran. Hambatan yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan supervisi akademik di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Karawang pertama terkendala atau kurang tepatnya waktu yang telah direncanakan dalam pelaksanaan supervisi dan kurang tercapainya supervisi akademik, karena kurang didukung oleh fasilitas yang memandai di madrasah
PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF MADRASAH ALIYAH 1 STATE ISLAMIC SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN CREATING A TRANSPARENT AND ACCOUNTABLE SCHOOL IN GORONTALO
Abstract: Madrasah are Islamic institutions with the responsibility to provide quality educational services to the community. This quality service can be seen from the school's performance. The purpose of this research is to identify; (1) learning management (2) school management and leadership in Madrasah Aliyah 1 State Islamic Senior High School in Gorontalo. This quantitative research is located in Madrasah Aliyah 1 State Islamic Senior High School in Gorontalo with 46 teachers as research subjects. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using the percentage technique presented in the form of tables and diagrams. The results showed that: (1) learning management obtained results of 81.02% including the effective category, and (2) the results of management and leadership management achievements obtained 87.84% including effective categories. PENGELOLAAN SARANA DAN PRASARANA PENDIDIKAN DI MADRASAH ALIYAH NEGERI 2 KARAWANG
Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Karawang selalu memaksimalkan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didiknya, madrasah merupakan suatu lembaga pendidikan yang memposisikan kepala madrasah sebagai organisator pendidikan. Dalam hal ini sudah diatur dalam peraturan pemerintah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Berdasarkan Peraturan Pemerintah Bab VII Pasal 42 No 32 Tahun 2013 tentang Standar Nasional Pendidikan, Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Nomor 20 Tahun 2007 tentang Standar Sarana dan Prasarana Pendidikan. Hasil pembahasan dalam penelitian meliputi observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, proses pengadaan sarana dan prasarana di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Karawang dilaksanakan dengan musyawarah terlebih dahulu tentang rencana pengadaan sarana dan prasarana dengan pejabat madrasah dan orang tua peserta didik, pemeliharaan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Karawang masih kurang optimal yaitu, kurangnya petugas pemelihara sarana dan prasarana pendidikan, penyimpanan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Karawang masih membutuhkan gudang untuk penyimpanan sarana dan prasarana, agar barang terjaga dengan baik dan aman. This report is prepared in conjunction to students’ business project for this semester course assessment. Students were assigned to run any business of their choice in a span of three weeks and record all their business outcomes throughout the specified time range. Thus, this report will mainly contain summaries their business activities within the given period on what business they run, their targeted customers, how they run the business itself in terms of stocks or services and what they gain from the activities they had gone through. It also acts as easier guidance for lecturer to overview their student’s efforts in completing this assessment. The following report will be about a business runs by Aliyah Faqihah Binti Mohd Nazri in span of three weeks duration. She runs a small business of DIY Custom-made Keychains in the past weeks under a shop named Moonartsy Ministudio. Other than put her focus on the custom keychains, she also sells side items such as self-designed sticker sheets and decorative photo albums. The shop was established since January this year and currently active selling on only one selling platform which is Shopee Malaysia. For this assessment purpose, the business records will only be taken up to three weeks starting from 16th May 2021.
Moonartsy Ministudio is a small business in gift and accessories categories, which is we all know is not essential to every group of people. The main purpose of running this business at first was to slowly venture the world of entrepreneur and the owner, Aliyah was inspired by packaging videos of small businesses out there, posted on social media platforms such as Instagram, Tiktok and Twitter. They all unintentionally spark the idea and interest of running business in the middle of COVID-19 pandemic. The reason Aliyah chooses Shopee as main platform to sells her product are vary as well, which will be explained further in this report. While working on this business assessment, students were able to experience the hardship of being an entrepreneur by their own. There were problems here and there while conducting this business activities especially since it involved our commitments with business customers and the need for us as students to have excellent time management for academic purpose on the other side. Beside that, the COVID-19 pandemic also in a way restrict our movement in doing business and resulting limitation in choosing business to run. Not to mention, the factor of competitions in entrepreneurial field is one of the main flaws in completing this assessment as more competitions means lesser chance to gain customers
"Encystation": Containment and Control in Israeli Ideology and Practice
The radical closure of Gaza serves here as an extreme example of a process of
isolation and immiseration of national enemies that is deeply rooted in Israeli
ideology and practices of state formation. I use encystation to reveal the dual
meaning of the term—that of radical isolation of diseased elements and that of
protecting a fetus within a womb—and to show how the two meanings connect
with respective Israeli policies toward Palestinians and Jews. I suggest in closing
that the Oslo Accords have put in place mechanisms for the future imposition
on West Bank Palestinians of the same containment currently afflicting Gaz
