Buku Al Arabiyyah Al Muasirah karya Eckehard Schulz: studi analitis evaluatif dari aspek linguistik, psikologis, pedagogik, dan kultural
One of the problems in the world of Arabic study field is the lack of good textbooks, which also determines the success or failure of a learning process in gaining the required language competencies. This research’s purpose is to evaluate the quality and characteristic of the content of al-‘Arabiyyah al-Mu’āṣirah by Eckehard Schulz in both edition, printed version and e-version, from linguistic, psychological, pedagogic and cultural aspects. To answer the following question, the researcher conduct research using content analysis method, that is analyzing the Arabic language teaching materials within the book based on language expert opinion of linguistic, psychological, pedagogic, and cultural aspects. The data gathering using Rushdi Ahmad Tu’aimah’s version of coding sheet. But, because of this research’s focus is to evaluate the teaching materials from linguistic, psychological, pedagogic, and cultural aspects, then the question order inside the coding sheet is changed and costumized to the aspects. After all the data needed is collected, then given interpretation that lead to the picture of the quality of al-‘Arabiyyah al-Mu’āṣirah. The content’s characteristic from printed edition of al-‘Arabiyyah al-Mu’āṣirah are the qawa’id presentation in the beginning of dars, translation practice and translation skill test, combination of Arabic and non-arabic name, Indonesian language as introduction, the prominence of Islamic identitiy and the presentation of qirāah before hiwār. Meanwhile, the content’s characteristic from e-edition are the availability of audio teaching materials, not only for hiwar but also for qiraah text, example of sentences in qawaid, nahwu terms, new vocabulary inside the text of qiraah and hiwar, beside there are 4 dialects. The quality of the book viewed from linguistic, psychological, pedagogic, and cultural aspects is very suitable and decent to be used as Arabic language teaching material, and the only drawback is that there is no harokat and in the use of Indonesia language. To ensure better quality of Arabic teaching materials in the future, it is necessary to establish and use standarts for the preparation of teaching materials that are integrated into these four aspects in a comprehensive manner. Theoretical findings from this study is textbook on which the arrangement is based from linguistic, psychological, pedagogic, and cultural aspects can deliver learning process to achieve the expected linguistic competence

Penelitian tentang santri masih terbatas, khususnya dalam kancah pendidikan di Indonesia. Pada berbagai literatur, keberadaan santri dikesampingkan oleh para peneliti dan ditempatkan sebagai objek. Pembahasan tentang santri memang ada, namun masih terserak pada sub bab dan belum menjadi kajian yang utuh. Kecenderungan para peneliti menjadikan kiai sebagai episentrum perubahan di pesantren, sehingga melupakan adanya faktor lainnya, yaitu santri yang juga memiliki sumbangsih bagi keberadaan pesantren.Berdasarkan pemikiran tersebut, peneliti mengajukan fokus penelitian yaitu, masihkah pesantren sebagai sub kultur? Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk memahami secara mendalam tentang santri sebagai aktor dalam kaitannya dengan arus perubahan pesantren. Teori yang akan digunakan adalah habitus. Sehingga diperlukan pelatihan serta pengajaran khusus supaya seseorang bisa menggunakan bahasa arab dengan baik dan benar. Siswa seringkali menganggap pembelajaran mufrodat (kosakata) bahasa Arab membosankan, terutama pada jenjang MI (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah). Hal ini dapat menghambat proses pembelajaran bahasa Arab dan menurunkan motivasi siswa. Ada beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan pembelajaran mufrodat menjadi tidak membosankan jadi diperlukan beberapa strategi supaya menyenangkan diantaranya Pendekatan Berbasis Permainan (Game-Based Learning) dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab menggunakan permainan edukatif seperti flashcards, mind mapping, ular tangga berbahasa Arab, dan tebak kata. Pemanfaatan Teknologi Digital melibatkan aplikasi pembelajaran bahasa Arab seperti Duolingo, Memrise, dan Mondly. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
