Premessa a Per d’Arco Silvio Avalle, «Le forme del canto». Interventi di Lino Leonardi, Pietro G. Beltrami, Maria Sofia Lannutti, Arnaldo Soldani
This collection of essays on medieval poetic metres, edited by Maria Sofia Lannutti following the arrangement conceived by its author, confirms the importance of d'Arco Silvio Avalle's metrical studies. Key issues are the relationship between metrical structure and music in the texts dating back to the origin of romance literatures, the multi-perspective complexity of the approach, and the exemplarity of the methodology used. © 2019 Societa Editrice il Mulino. Fistole oro-antrali: approccio terapeutico combinato fra chirurgo orale e otorinolaringoiatra
Obiettivi
Using multiscale structural analysis to infer high-/ultrahigh-pressure assemblages in subducted rodingites of the Zermatt-Saas Zone at Valtournanche, Italy
Rodingites hosted in serpentinites of the upper Valtournanche (Zermatt-Saas Zone) record four stages of ductile deformation of which the first three are associated with new mineral growth; D1 and D2 developed under high-pressure to ultrahigh-pressure conditions and D3 under lower pressure conditions.
On the base of the modal amount of the main mineral phases three types of rodingites are individuated: epidote-, garnet-chlorite clinopyroxene-, and vesuvianite-bearing rodingites. They are interpreted as deriving from ocean floor
metasomatism of former gabbro dykes intruded in mantle rocks, successively affected by subduction-related metamorphism during the Alpine convergence.
Field mapping allowing continuous structural correlation shows that the deformation history recorded in the serpentinites affects also rodingites. On the basis of syn-D2 peak conditions already inferred in serpentinites (2.5 ± 0.3 GPa and 600 ± 20 °C) the following syn-D2 assemblages in rodingites are interpreted as developed under the same physical conditions, during the Alpine subduction: epidoteII, clinopyroxeneII, Mg-chloriteII, titaniteI, ± garnetII, ± tremoliteI in epidote-bearing rodingites; Mg-chloriteII, garnetII, clinopyroxeneII, ± vesuvianiteII, ± opaque minerals, in garnet-chlorite-clinopyroxene-bearing rodingites; vesuvianiteII, Mg-chloriteII, clinopyroxeneII, garnetII, ± titaniteI, ±
epidoteI in vesuvianite-bearing rodingites. Pre-D1 mineral relicts such as Cr-rich spinel and cm-sized clinopyroxene porphyroclasts are interpreted as magmatic vestiges of the rodingitised and eclogitised gabbro dykes, whereas Cr-rich
garnet and Cr-Ti-Ca-rich vesuvianite as developed during oceanic metasomatism. Distinct chemical compositions characterise the same minerals recrystallised during the Alpine subduction. Finally, multiscale structural analysis shows that the dominant structural and metamorphic imprint recorded by the Valtournanche eclogitised rodingites developed during the Alpine subduction and that, in the favourable bulk composition (Ca-rich), vesuvianite is stable also at metamorphic conditions close to ultrahigh-pressure
Microstructure and surface composition of ferromagnetic thick films prepared with NiCo polyol-derived powders
Interest in ferromagnetic thick films stems from their magnetoresistive properties which open new opportunities for achieving reliable and cheap contactless physical sensors. In previous work we have studied the properties of different classes of ferromagnetic metal-based thick films, either prepared from commercial Ni-based pastes, or from prototype NiCo-based pastes, including those prepared with NiCo powders obtained with a polyol process. The latter has been found to give comparatively better magnetoresistive and magnetic responses; nevertheless the information on the real microstructure of the films was incomplete, especially with regard to the surface composition and contamination. In this paper results of an investigation aimed at clarifying these features and their evolution with the firing conditions are reported. The study included analyses of powders and films with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS). Results show the evolution of sintering and grain growth with the peak firing temperature and give evidence of residual contamination of carbonaceous residues on the films together with an extensive surface oxidation, although the firing process was carried out in nitrogen flow. Moreover the film surfaces are Co rich. These results can guide in the choice of composition and processing conditions for further improvement of the magnetic and magnetoresistive properties of the films
Abstract : This biographical sketch attempts to quote some images of Otto Maria Carpeaux: various types of biographical constructions, carried out in different contexts by disparate authors under conditions just as distinct. It stems from a critical view of history, allowing for ?other images? fragmented and non-monumental ? to share the space. In dialogue with the montage principle, this sketch has two parts. The first, Possible Images, quotes the images produced during and after the life of the Austrian-Brazilian, who was born in Vienna in 1900, went to Brazil in exile in 1939 and died in Rio de Janeiro in 1978. The second part, Possible Montages, presents two possibilities of a biographical exercise: through the allegorical reading of documentary O Velho e o Novo (Otto Maria Carpeaux), understood as an instrument of intervention in the Brazilian dictatorship context and as a biographical retelling of the author?s European experiences; and through my Scrapbook of Critical Images, a record of the encounters in Carpeaux through critical images produced from the caesura of the present
