Annotation of conceptual co-reference and text Mining the Qur'an
Get PDFThis research contributes to the area of corpus annotation and text mining by developing novel domain specific language resources. Most practical text mining applications restrict their domain. This research restricts the domain to the Qur'anic Text.
In this thesis, a number of pre-processing steps were undertaken and annotation information were added to the Qur'an. The raw Arabic Qur'an was pre-processed into morphological units using the Qur'anic Arabic Corpus (QAC). Qur'anic terms were indexed and converted into a vector space model using techniques in Information Retrieval (IR). In parallel, nearly 24,000 Qur'anic personal pronouns were annotated with information on their referents. These referents are consolidated and organized into a total of over 1,000 ontological concepts. Moreover, a dataset of nearly 8,000 pairs of related Qur'anic verses are compiled from books of scholarly commentary on the Qur'an. This vector space model, the pronoun tagging, the verse relatedness dataset, and the part-of-speech tags available in QAC all together served for a number of Qur'anic text mining applications which were rendered online for public use. Among these applications: lemma concordance, collocation, POS search of the Qur'an, verse similarity measures, concept clouds of a given verse, pronominal anaphora and Qur'anic chapter similarity.
Furthermore, machine learning experiments were conducted on automatic detection of verse similarity/relatedness as well as categorization of Qur'anic chapters based on their chronology of revelation. Domain specific linguistic features were investigated to induct learning algorithms. Results show that deep linguistic and world knowledge is needed to reach the human upper bound in certain computational tasks such as detecting text relatedness, question answering and textual entailment. However, many useful queries can be addressed using text mining techniques and layers of annotations made available through this research. The works presented here can be extended to include other similar texts like Hadith (i.e., saying of Prophet Muhammad), or other scriptures like the Gospels

serious consideration in any future legislative reform of laws in Malaysia. Islam being
the religion of the country and the strong religious sentiment of the Muslims (who
form the majority in Malaysia) cannot be overlooked or dismissed lightly by the
legislators in Malaysia. Reformation of intellectual property laws is timely, as we are
now approaching to the dateline set by GATF-Trips agreement which aim is to
improve our standard of intellectual property protection. This study seeks to analyze
and evaluate the current legislation pertaining to intellectual property in Malaysia in
terms of the philosophy and rules governing the existence, ownership and exercise of
these rights and their consistency and inconsistency with Islam and Islamic law. The
main objective of this study is to prove that a coherent and logical conceptual
framework of ownership of intellectual property can be derived from an Islamic
perspective which not only offers the basis of rights but also defines the scope of
these rights. From the point of ownership of rights, support can be obtained from the
normative framework of property rights within the traditional classification of 'mal'
(property) and 'haqq al-milkiyyah' (ownership rights) under Islamic law. From the
point of exercise of rights, the exact scope can be defined from the analysis of
fundamental concepts which have been developed by Muslim jurists. It has been
established that Islam and Islamic law offers a sound and systematic paradigm, which
in deeper analysis, can satisfy both our current obligations under international
treatises, as well as our responsibility to practise our religion to the fullest

The reality of Indonesian youth, especially the Sasak, is experiencing many problems. Problems such as unity, fear of dreaming, not being tough, lack of education and knowledge of the current situation are serious problems among youth. Departing from this problem, T.G.K.H. Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Madjid composed his poems related to youth. The poem explains how a person should act and behave. Therefore, it is important to study and research Maulid al-Barzanjī wa al-Anāsyīd al-Nahḍiyyah by T.G.K.H. Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Madjid using Lucien Goldmann's genetic structuralism.
This study uses Goldmann's dialectical method through the concept of understanding-explanation that connects the structure of literary works, social conditions, perspectives of the author and the author who gave birth to a literary work. This analysis is based on Lucien Goldmann's theory of genetic structuralism. The theory is a set of theories about human facts, collective subjects, structuration, author's worldview, and explanations. The data are in the form of words, phrases and sentences arranged in the form of stanzas. It aims to determine the structure of the literary work, the social conditions of the background and the author's perspective, and the relationship between the literary work and the author's world view.
Based on the analysis, it was found that the thoughts of T.G.K.H. Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Madjid about Youth to unite, dare to dream, have resilience, dare to assert their identity, learn science and understand the times they live. Youth are students of knowledge, fighters for religion and the state as well as candidates for scholars and leaders. Youth is the determining element in appointing intelligent and pious leaders, not ignorant and wicked ones

Pendidikan anak yang pertama dan yang paling utama adalah
keluarga khususnya orang tua. Pendidikan dalam keluarga yang sesuai
pandangan Islam adalah pendidikan yang didasarkan pada tuntunan
agama Islam, pendidikan tersebut dimaksudkan untuk membentuk
anak agar menjadi anak yang beriman, bertakwa kepada Allah Swt
serta berakhlak mulia.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hasil komparasi
dari pemikiran Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jauziyah dan Muhammad Nur Abdul
Hafizh Suwaid mengenai pendidikan anak dalam keluarga dalam
bukunya yang berjudul Tuhfatul Maudud bi Ahkamil Maulud dan
Propertic Parenting cara Nabi Mendidik Anak.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian
pustaka atau kajian pustaka dengan sumber buku primer Tuhfatul
Maudud bi Ahkamil Maulud dan Propertic Parenting cara Nabi
Mendidik Anak. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis
isi dan pendekatan analisis komperatif yang biasa disebut studi
komparasi. Studi komparasi adalah penelitian yang bertujuan untuk
membandingkam dua variabel atau lebih, untuk mendapatkan jawaban
atau fakta, apakah ada perbandingan atau tidak dari objek yang sedang
diteliti.
Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan oleh penulis terkait pendidikan
anak dalam keluarga menurut Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jauziyah dan
Muhammad Nur Abdul Hafizh Suwaid diantaranya adalah
menentukan pasangan yang shalih/shalihah, mendidik atau adab pada
saat anak dalam kandungan (Prenatal), tanggung jawab orang tua
terhadap pendidikan anak dalam segi keimanan, moral, akal, sosial,
fisik, kejiwaan dan seks adapun perbedaan terdapat pada istilah
penyebutan jenis-jenis tanggung jawab pendidikan. Kemudian metode
yang digunakan dalam mendidik anak yaitu seperti keteladanan,
pembiasaan dan hukuman.

ABSTRACT
The first and most important education of children is the family,
especially the parents. Education in the family that is in accordance
with Islamic views is education that is based on the guidance of the
Islamic religion. This education is intended to shape children to
become children who believe, are devoted to Allah SWT and have
noble character.
This research aims to find out how the comparative result of Ibnu
Qayyim Al-Jauziyah and Muhammad Nur Abdul Hafizh Suwaid
thoughts on the education of children in the family in their book
titledTuhfatul Maudud bi Ahkamil Maulud and Propertic Parenting
the way the Prophet educates children.
The method used in this research is library research or literature
review using the primary book sources Tuhfatul Maudud bi Ahkamil
Maulud and Propetic Parenting, the Prophet’s Way of Educating
Children. The data analysis techique used is content analysis and a
comparative analysis approach which is usually called a comparative
study. A comparative study is research that aims to comparetwo or
more variables, to get answer or facts, whether there is a comparison
or nor of the objects being studied.
The result of research conducted by the author regarding children’s
education in the family according to Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jauziyah and
Muhammad Nur Abdul Hafizh Suwaid include determining a
pious/salihah partner, education or manners when the child is in the
prenatal, parents’ responsibility for education children in terms of
faith, morals, reason, social, physical, psychological and sexual. There
are differences in terms of the types of educational responsibilities.
Then the methods used in educating children are example, habituation
and punishment.
