Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Skripsi ini membahas tentang Bacaan Al-Qur‟an dalam Tradisi Malappa‟
lappa‟ Pada Masyarakat Dusun Terra, Desa Sampa, Kecamatan Bajo, Kabupaten
Luwu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pelaksanaan tradisi
malappa‟-lappa‟ serta manifestasi dan makna doa yang dibaca dalam tradisi
malappa‟-lappa‟ pada masyarakat Dusun Terra, Desa Sampa, Kecamatan Bajo,
Kabupaten Luwu.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research) yaitu
deskriptif-kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan tafsir dan
sosiologis. Sumber data primer dari penelitian ini yaitu dari masyarakat yang
terlibat langsung dalam tradisi malappa‟-lappa‟, sedangkan sumber data sekunder
yaitu berupa buku, jurnal, dan artikel. Metode pengumpulan data dengan cara
observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa
tradisi malappa‟-lappa‟ terdiri dari beberapa rangkaian proses pelaksanaannya
yaitu menentukan waktu, menyiapkan bahan-bahan yang digunakan, berdoa, dan
makan bersama. Manifestasi dan makna doa yang dibaca dalam tradisi malappa‟
lappa‟ yaitu berdasarkan apa yang mereka yakini dan pahami, di dalamnya
terdapat ayat-ayat al-Qur‟an yang juga diposisikan sebagai doa yang dibaca. Doa
tersebut merupakan salah satu bentuk ibadah pada hakikatnya berupa
penghambaan diri kepada Allah swt. tempat bergantung kepada-Nya, pengakuan
ke Mahakuasaan Allah swt. meliputi segala sesuatu. Adapun doanya yaitu Niat,

Citrus contains secondary metabolitessuch as flavonoid, carotenoid, and limonoid, which can be found in the leaf, peel of fruit, seeds, and pulp. The aimsof this research were to determine flavonoid and limonoid contents in every growth phase of Kalamondin and Purutand the limonoid contents in embryo and plantlet phases derived from in vitro somatic embryogenesis. The researchwas conducted in Indonesian Citrus and Subtropical Fruits Research Institute (ICISFRI) from May to December 2009.The research consisted of two activities as follows: (1) analyses of flavonoid and limonoid contents in every growthphase of Kalamondin and Purut and (2) analyses of the limonoid contents in embryos and plantlet proliferated fromsomatic embryogenesis culture. Flavonoid and limonoid contents were analyzed at the Assessment Service Unit,Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University. The results showed that flavonoid and limonoid compounds could beproduced in all parts of plant i.e, such as pulp, seeds, peel of fruit, and leaves from every growth phase of Kalamondinand Purut. In Purut and Kalamondin, the highest flavonoid content was obtained from ripen fruit, with concentration18.8 ppm. Liminoid content in Purut was detected only in leaf supporting ripen fruit (1 ppm) and seeds (61 ppm),and in Kalamondin was only in seeds with concentration 74 ppm

This research conducted to determine influence between Job Stress and Job Satisfaction to Performance of employees at PT Artindo Grafika Printing, Bekasi. This research used survey method with causality approach, and use secondary data (Employees’ Performance) and primary data (job satisfaction and job stress). The sampling technique that used in this research is proportional random sampling technique with 44 respondents as sample. Data account which used is SPSS 17.0. From the result of F – Test, found that job stress and job satisfaction simultaneously influence performance as seen from F count (256.557) > (3.226 ) andit also seen from its significance 0,000. Then partially, job stress has T count (-2.117) T (1.683). It means that job satisfaction has significant positive
effect on performance. Besides that, path coefficient of job stress on performance equal to 0.028 which means job stress has contribution on performance 2,8%. Path coefficient for job satisfaction is 0.817 which means job satisfaction has contribution on performance 66.7%. Path coefficient job stress to job satisfaction equals to 0.847, so path coefficient job stress on performance indirectly by job satisfaction is 0.662. Which means job stress has contribution on performance indirectly by job satisfaction 47,2%. Total path coefficient job stress toward performance is 0.74, it means the total contribution of job stress on performance is 74%

No full textWe report experimental results for the temperature variance 2(z) and the corresponding frequency spectra P(f) in turbulent Rayleigh-Bénard convection (RBC) in a cylindrical sample of aspect ratioT= D/L = 1:00 (D = 1:12 m is the diameter and L = 1:12 m the height). The measurements were conducted in the Rayleigh-number range 1011 < Ra < 1:35 1014 and Pr ' 0:8. For Ra = 1:35x1014, 2(z) could be described well by a logarithmic dependence on the vertical position z in a range of z 1 < z < z 2 with z 1 ' 70 and z 2 = 0:1L. Here L=(2Nu) is the thickness of a thin thermal sublayer adjacent to the horizontal plate where the heat flux (denoted by the Nusselt number Nu) is carried mostly by thermal diffusion. In the log layer, we found that the temperature spectra had a significant frequency range over which P(f) f with close to 1. As Ra decreased, increased so that the log layer became thinner. At Ra = 2:05 1011, z 2 < z 1 and therefore there was no range for a log layer. Correspondingly, the temperature spectrum near the horizontal plate did not have the f1 scaling form either

Author cocitation is an established bibliometric technique that can be used to measure the relative similarities of topics written about by the cited authors. This enables a visual representation of the “intellectual space” of the discipline, in this case the Olympics, to be created for the period under review. So core and peripheral research areas are identified, along with their major contributors. The representation appears as a two-dimensional cluster-enhanced map. Subject expertise was then applied to the results to place labels on the generated clusters of authors and their topics
