Full text linkThe research was distributed by the author\u27s interest against Ex Gafatar that occur in Indonesia. Their existence as illegal organization until their expulsion from Earth borneo makes compelling colors for covered by the various media. Each media pack with news of construction in accordance with the ideology they have. So, researchers specializing in the preaching of the Riau Post as local media in spreading the repatriation of Ex Gafatar to Riau. This study used a qualitative approach to discourse analysis models Teun A Van Dijk. Data was collected by interview and documentation. The object of ten research news, consists of nine news from Riau. Informants consisted from chief editor Riau Pos’s newspaper. To achieve the validity of the data in this research, researchers used  triangulation. The results showed: first, Analysis of the discourse, news coverage in newspapers the Riau Post puts a theme raised about the handling of the journey undertaken by the Government of Riau in escorting the repatriation of ex gafatar to Riau. The emphasis on the performance of the apparatus of Government through the promised construction of the Riau Post attempted to grow back the trust of the community to be able to accept back those in neighborhoods with a guarantee from the Government. Second, Representation of the media conducted by the Riau post which uses a constructionist approach is judged in favour to the Government as a form of fostering kepercayaaan Government in dealing with such cases. Without these events, hide impressed the Riau Post tried to suppress the conflict by giving the role of social control to the public

Full text linkSebagai agen demokrasi, partai politik mempunyai tugas yang tidak ringan. Partai politik bertugas sebagai penyalur aspirasi dari konstituen dan merubahnya menjadi kebijakan publik. Selain itu, ada tugas yang tidak kalah penting yang harus diemban oleh partai politik, yaitu melaksanakan kegiatan kaderisasi setelah melalui proses rekrutmen politik. Kaderisasi merupakan urat nadi bagi semua organisasi termaksud partai politik, karena sistem kaderisasi adalah sebuah proses yang sangat penting yang dilakukan demi menjaga kesinambungan kepemimpinan dari satu generasi ke generasi berikutnya. Untuk memperoleh kader yang berkualitas, maka dibutuhkan sebuah sistem kaderisasi yang sistematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses rekrutmen politik Partai Nasional Demokrat Wilayah Riau dalam menentukan kadernya sehingga siap menghadapi pemilu legislatif 2019. Penelitian ini mefokuskan pada rekrutmen yang dilakukan oleh NASDEM dengan menggunakan tagline “Politik Tanpa Mahar”. Hal ini menepis bahwa tidak selamanya menjadi politisi itu harus dengan mahar. Full text link After the 2019 elections, various kinds of issues emerged, online media have a responsibility to present it through government news, bearing in mind that it concerns the interests of the people. The shift in news consumption behavior in online media actually demands the media industry in riau Goriau.com and riauonline.co.id to be ready to package the news so that it is feasible to be trusted. The research aims to determine the construction in the online media industry through ideology, the commodification of workers and audiences in government news. Full text linkAtib Ko Ambai menjadi ritual yang lestari dilaksanakan pada tiga hari setelah raya I’Dul Fitri di desa Teluk Nilap, Kecamatan Kubu Babussalam, Kabupaten Rokan Hilir, Provinsi Riau. Ritual ziarah makam Tengku Abdul Pasai seorang tokoh masyarakat penyebar Islam ke daerah tersebut memiliki keunikan berkumpul dan pergi ke makam dengan menggunakan pompong. Tidak sekedar ritual biasa melainkan untuk menjaga tali silatuhrahmi antara masyarakat desa sekaligus menolak bala. Dengan metode kualitatif etnografi dengan mengutamakan wawancara dan observasi partisipan dalam pengumpulan data disimpulkan hasil diperoleh Ritual “Atib Ko Ambai” menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, dan juga bahasa Arab. Situasi komunikatif yang dihadiri langsung oleh pemangku Adat, Tokoh Masyarakat, generasi pemuda dan masyarakat umumnya. Peristiwa komunikatif dalam Ritual Atib Ko Ambai. Dan juga tindakan komunikatif dalam Ritual Atib Ko Ambai. Tujuan dan Fungsi dalam Ritual Atib Ko Ambai untuk mengenang jasa para ulama terdahulu, urutan tindak prosesi ritual Atib Ko Ambai dari awal sampai selesai dalam keadaan nuansa keislaman dengan norma-norma yang terkandung didalam yang bermuatan nilai kesopanan nilai solidaritas, dan nilai taat dan patuh pada Agama dan Adat. No full textTulisan ini mengangkat penelitian tentang bagaimana surat kabar Riau Pos dan Tribun Pekanbaru mengkonstruksi berita Panti Yayasan Tunas Bangsa yang sempat marak di Indonesia. Konstruksi realitas oleh media massa menjadi objek yang dianalisis dengan menarik dua identifikasi masalah. Pertama, struktur framing berita dengan menggunakan metode analisis framing Zhongdang Pan dan Gerald M. Kosicki. Kedua, ideologi masing-masing media terhadap pemberitaan yang dikaji berdasarkan teori ekonomi politik media. Hasil penelitian pertama, menunjukkan struktur framing sintaksis, skrip, tematik, dan retoris dari kedua media. JAKTV Local Broadcast Media Strategy in Maintaining Existence in the Digital Era
Full text linkJAKTV is a local television station in Jakarta. The presence of various new broadcast media willcertainly add competitors and make people's tastes begin to change. In this regard, JAKTV must beable to plan and carry out various strategies to be able to adapt and transform in order to continueto exist and be able to compete in the current era. This research aims to identify how JAKTV'sstrategy in maintaining their existence as local television, using the Niche (Media Ecology) theoryby Dimmick and Rothenbuhler. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach and datacollection techniques are by interview, observation, and collecting documents related to theresearch. The results of this study indicate that JAKTV as a local Jakarta television station inmaintaining their existence is by carrying out strategies including, planning marketing activities toget advertisements by strengthening their brand to gain the trust of the public and consumers, aswell as providing good service and compliments to clients. Conducting audience segmentation bygrouping based on geographic, demographic, and psychological audiences and positioning bystrengthening an image as a local Jakarta television. Conducted programme planning, productionand partnership, designed programme execution using the “day parting" method, and monitoredand evaluated performance to develop future plans.JAKTV merupakan stasiun televisi lokal Jakarta. Hadirnya berbagai media penyiaran baru tentunya akan menambah kompetitor dan menjadikan selera masyarakat yang mulai berubah. Sehingga dalam hal ini JAKTV harus dapat membuat perencanaan dan melakukan berbagai strategi untuk dapat beradaptasi dan melakukan transformasi agar tetap eksis dan dapat bersaing di era saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi JAKTV dalam mempertahankan eksistensinya sebagai televisi lokal, menggunakan teori Niche (Ekologi Media) oleh Dimmick dan Rothenbuhler. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
