Correlation Study between Laboratory Performance and Internship Grades of BS Information Technology and BS Computer Science Students in Lemery Colleges S.Y. 2021-2022
Abstract: The computer lab is very important to the student’s education. Every institution or university should have this as a key resource, especially for tech-related programs like BS Information Technology and BS Computer Science. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the connection between students with BSs in information technology and computer science's laboratory performance and internship grades. The main goal of the study is whether a student's success in the lab during their first year of college has an impact on how well they do in their practicum or internship. The descriptive-correlational study approach was used to demonstrate the laboratory performance of the SY 2021–2022 BSIT and BSCS graduating class. Performance indicators (PI) and the marks they got from the firms during their internships were used to demonstrate this performance. 35 graduates of the BS in information technology and 16 graduates of the BS in computer science from the academic year 2021–2022 are taking part in this study. It was concluded that there is a strong correlation between laboratory performance and academic internships under corporate supervision. These results contribute to a better significance of performance indicator assessment in laboratory procedures. The second goal is to raise the standards of the quality indicators used to evaluate and track students' computer lab performance. The research recommended integrating academic success and student output at work to create more meaningful data for quality improvement.

Jetting, In-Nozzle Meniscus Motion and Nozzle-Plate Flooding in An Industrial Drop-on-Demand Print Head
The state of the ink film at and near the nozzles of a drop-ondemand(DoD) print head during jetting has a direct impact on
printing performance and reliability. We have developed highspeed imaging apparatus and analytical techniques to investigate
the ink film dynamics on an industrial print head nozzle-plate in real-time. In addition to a direct correlation between the jet
emergence velocity and drive voltage, drive-dependent variations in the oscillation of the ink meniscus in adjacent nozzles were also observed. Using a ray-tracing model to analyze the meniscus shape, the meniscus oscillations for both printing and nonprinting nozzles were found to be complex and involve elements such as pre-oscillation and high-order surface waves. The flooding of non-firing nozzles, deliberately caused by the application of maximum drive voltage to a neighboring nozzle, has been recorded and analyzed dynamically. The build-up of fluid in an annulus around the nozzle (flooding rate) has been characterized and compared with models for the net ink flow
through the nozzle

Search for LFV in Bs Decays
The flavor changing neutral current process is forbidden at tree level in the Standard Model (SM) and can only proceed via suppressed loop level diagrams. In the recent years, some deviation in the experimental measurements of Lepton Flavor Universality in B decays (i.e., b→ sℓℓ and b→ cℓν ) from the SM prediction and some theoretical models hint that there are lepton flavor violating interactions. Therefore, observation of the Lepton Flavor Violation (LFV) in B decays would be a clear signal of physics beyond the SM.We report herein the sensitivity study of Bs→ ℓτ(ℓ= μ, e) at Belle. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd
A Looseness Detection Method for Railway Catenary Fasteners based on Reinforcement Learning Refined Localization
Brace sleeve (BS) fasteners, i.e., nut and bolt, are small components but play essential roles in fixing BS and cantilever in railway catenary system. They are commonly inspected by onboard cameras using computer vision to ensure the safety of railway operation. However, most BS fasteners cannot be directly localized because they are too small in the inspection images. Instead, the BS is first localized for detecting the BS fastener. This leads to a new problem that the localized BS boxes may not contain the complete BS fasteners due to low localization accuracy, making it infeasible to further diagnose the fastener conditions. To tackle this problem, this article proposes a novel pipeline for BS fastener looseness diagnosis. First, the competitive deep learning model Faster RCNN ResNet101 is used to coarsely localize BSs. Second, an action-driven reinforcement learning agent is adopted to refine the coarse-localized boxes through a dynamic position searching process. Then, BS fasteners are extracted from the refined localized BS image by the deep segmentation model YOLACT++, which is fast and interpretable. Finally, a looseness diagnosis criterion based on segmented information are proposed. We evaluate the performance of submodels independently and the overall performance of the whole model on a real-life catenary image dataset collected from a high-speed line in China. The test results show that the proposed method is effective for BS looseness detection in railway catenary.Green Open Access added to TU Delft Institutional Repository ‘You share, we take care!’ – Taverne project https://www.openaccess.nl/en/you-share-we-take-care Otherwise as indicated in the copyright section: the publisher is the copyright holder of this work and the author uses the Dutch legislation to make this work public.Railway Engineerin
Uncertainty quantification of the failure assessment diagram for flawed steel components in BS 7910:2019
The failure assessment line (FAL) describes the interaction between plastic failure and fracture of flawed steel components subjected to tension or bending. This paper quantifies the model uncertainty of the FAL as provided in the internationally used British Standard BS 7910:2019 by comparing the assessment with the actual failure load of 82 wide plate and 4 tubular joint tests. In line with findings of others, it is demonstrated that the accuracy of the assessment is significantly improved if the crack tip constraint is considered in the assessment. Irrespective of this crack tip constraint consideration, a non-negligible number of wide plate tests has a lower failure load than the one predicted by the FAL in BS 7910:2019, if based on three fracture toughness tests. A penalty or safety margin on the FAL is advocated to compensate for this. It appears advantageous to base the assessment on the average instead of the minimum of three equivalent fracture mechanics tests together with an associated (quantified) safety margin.Ship Hydromechanics and Structure
Measurement of the CP-violating phase \phi s in Bs->J/\psi\pi+\pi- decays
Measurement of the mixing-induced CP-violating phase phi_s in Bs decays is of prime importance in probing new physics. Here 7421 +/- 105 signal events from the dominantly CP-odd final state J/\psi pi+ pi- are selected in 1/fb of pp collision data collected at sqrt{s} = 7 TeV with the LHCb detector. A time-dependent fit to the data yields a value of phi_s=-0.019^{+0.173+0.004}_{-0.174-0.003} rad, consistent with the Standard Model expectation. No evidence of direct CP violation is found
The Structure of Deuteronomy and the Function of Ch 27: a Discourse Analytic Inquiry into the Redactional and Authorial Work of Deuteronomy's Narrator
This study explores the extent to which it is possible to describe the structure of Deuteronomy
in a manner that accounts for the features of the book's narrative frame, the interpolations
in the Mosaic speeches, and especially the function of ch 27. Previous approaches to the
structure of Deuteronomy from the perspectives of covenant, composition, and the identification
of parallels are evaluated by the author to be limited, both methodologically and in their
ability to account for the position and function of ch 27. A methodology is described for the
discourse analysis of Deuteronomy's narrative framework from the theoretical orientation of
functional linguistics, which integrates Miller's research into the discourse function of quotative
frames in Biblical Hebrew. Applying this methodology to Deuteronomy's narrative frame,
the author formulates hypotheses about the narrator's work as an author and redactor of
source material. Sustained attention is then paid to ch 27, which the author suggests functions
as an interpolated gloss on the mutual oath between YHWH and Israel described in 26:16-19.
The chapter is then exegeted in this light.
The scope of the study's detailed analysis is limited to Deuteronomy's narrative frame
and ch 27. The author develops conclusions touching on diachronic issues of composition
and redaction on the basis of synchronic analysis of the final form of the Masoretic Text. The
hypotheses contribute fresh suggestions to the discussion of Deuteronomy's narrative structure
and to the discussion of the latter stages of the book's redaction. The analysis models an
approach to redaction criticism informed by recent developments in linguistic typology and
empirical research into a communicative strategy employed in Biblical Hebrew of particular relevance to this text
Strong Ds∗ Dsη (′) and Bs∗ Bsη (′) vertices from QCD light-cone sum rules
Azizi, Kazem (Dogus Author)The strong Ds∗Dsη(′) and Bs∗Bsη(′) vertices are studied and the relevant couplings are calculated in the context of the light-cone QCD sum rule method with twist-4 accuracy by including the next-to-leading-order corrections. In the analysis, both the quark and gluon components of the η and η′ mesons and the axial-anomaly-corrected higher-twist distributions are included
