The spiritual resources of the teacher according to Jan Władysław Dawid
In this article, the author analyses the best known work of the Warsaw Positivist Jan Władysław Dawid: On the Soul o f Teachership (O duszy nauczycielstwa). The author notes the change in views of the materialist Dawid who, after the death of his wife, begins to describe the spiritual values which should be followed by a good teacher. Dawid distinguishes didactic work and elevates it above all other professions, such as doctor or architect. He notes that the teacher cannot be a bad man, and proceeds to list the profession’s requirements. According to Dawid, the teacher’s most important feature is love for the student’s soul, as well as purity of intention and actions. The teacher should also have a calling, thanks to which he will be committed to his work. Another characteristic of the teacher is courage, thanks to which one’s values can be passed on to others. Dawid draws attention to the ever-present issue of providing teachers with good remuneration and decent living. After all, it is only after the basic human needs
are satisfied that we may think about more lofty notions and attempt to teach them to others.
The article also raises numerous questions and hypotheses which remain unanswered. Streszczenie
Zlewnia Strugi Młyńskiej cechuje się dużym wpływem antropopresji. Wynika to z jej położenia w bezpośrednim sąsiedztwie miasta Bydgoszczy oraz stosunkowo małej powierzchni zlewni całkowitej. Decydujący wpływ na jakość wód mają punktowe źródła zanieczyszczeń oraz presja obszarów zurbanizowanych. Mimo korzystnego pokrycia terenu zlewni (lasy), odnotowuje się znaczący dopływ substancji autochtonicznej ze obszaru zlewni. W takim przypadku wykonanie waloryzacji przyrodniczej wykazuje duże zróżnicowanie wewnętrzne środowiska na stosunkowo małej przestrzeni.
Abstract
The catchment area of Struga Młyńska is characterized by strong anthropopression impact. This is due to its location in the immediate vicinity of the city of Bydgoszcz and the relatively small area of the catchment. The main impact on the water quality have point sources of pollution and pressure from urban areas. Despite beneficial cover of catchment land (forests) there has been noticed a significant influx of autochthonous substances from the catchment area. In this case, the execution of natural valorisation has high internal diversity of the environment in a relatively small area of catchment.

Пытаясь постичь онтологический статус этой формы искусства, в статье автор использует идеи Тома Конивеса, выраженные а его работе Видеопоэзия. Манифест. Однако, чтобы выявить важнейюшую проблему затронутую в Бесконечности, автор статьи отсылается к философским рефлексиям о повторимости - то Фридриха Ницше по Жиля Делёза.

Judgment: cyclicity. About Al Kopernik’s Infinity
Summary
The article is an attempt to analyse of Al Kopernik’s and Artiom Kirsanow’s videopoem called Infinity. Videopoetry in its current form is a relatively recent phenomenon, therefore scholars and critics still didn’t elaborate a suitable language, which could be useful to describe particular works of the genre. In this paper the author tries to capture the ontological status of this art form using some of Tom Konyves’s claims expressed in his Videopoetry: Manifesto. In vivo volumetric analysis of retinal vascular hemodynamics in mice with spatio-temporal optical coherence tomography.
SIGNIFICANCE: Microcirculation and neurovascular coupling are important parameters to study in neurological and neuro-ophthalmic conditions. As the retina shares many similarities with the cerebral cortex and is optically accessible, a special focus is directed to assessing the chorioretinal structure, microvasculature, and hemodynamics of mice, a vital animal model for vision and neuroscience research. AIM: We aim to introduce an optical imaging tool enabling in vivo volumetric mouse retinal monitoring of vascular hemodynamics with high temporal resolution. APPROACH: We translated the spatio-temporal optical coherence tomography (STOC-T) technique into the field of small animal imaging by designing a new optical system that could compensate for the mouse eye refractive error. We also developed post-processing algorithms, notably for the assessment of (i) localized hemodynamics from the analysis of pulse wave-induced Doppler artifact modulation and (ii) retinal tissue displacement from phase-sensitive measurements. RESULTS: We acquired high-quality, in vivo volumetric mouse retina images at a rate of 113 Hz over a lateral field of view of ∼ 500 μ m . We presented high-resolution en face images of the retinal and choroidal structure and microvasculature from various layers, after digital aberration correction. We were able to measure the pulse wave velocity in capillaries of the outer plexiform layer with a mean speed of 0.35 mm/s and identified venous and arterial pulsation frequency and phase delay. We quantified the modulation amplitudes of tissue displacement near major vessels (with peaks of 150 nm), potentially carrying information about the biomechanical properties of the retinal layers involved. Last, we identified the delays between retinal displacements due to the passing of venous and arterial pulse waves. CONCLUSIONS: The developed STOC-T system provides insights into the hemodynamics of the mouse retina and choroid that could be beneficial in the study of neurovascular coupling and vasculature and flow speed anomalies in neurological and neuro-ophthalmic conditions

Streszczenie
Ocenę transportu rumowiska zawieszonego, dla zbiorników retencyjnych kaskady dolnej Brdy, przeprowadzono w celu porównania metod: tradycyjnej (wagowej) oraz nefelometrycznej (optycznej). Analizy dokonano na podstawie badań terenowych przeprowadzonych poniżej Zbiornika Smukała w latach 2014 - 2015. Obejmowały one pobór prób w celu oznaczenia wartości wskaźnika zawiesina ogólna (metoda tradycyjna) oraz nefelometrycznej mętności wód (metoda laserowa). Pobór połączony był z obserwacjami stanów wody, umożliwiając określenie sytuacji hydrologicznej. Zebrane dane zinterpretowano za pomocą podstawowych metod statystycznych. Stwierdzono, iż rzeka Brda charakteryzuje się niewielkim obciążeniem w materiał zawieszony. Obserwacje zmącenia wód, umożliwiły określenie chwilowej dynamiki zawiesin oraz wskazanie głównego źródła pochodzenia analizowanej składowej transportu fluwialnego. Otrzymane dane wskazują na możliwość zamiennego stosowania porównywanych w artykule metod.
Abstract
The evaluation of the suspended sediment transport was conducted on artificial reservoir of cascade of lower Brda River, to compare methods: traditional (weight) and nephelometric (optical). The analysis was based on field research conducted below the Smukała Reservoir in the years 2014 - 2015. These included sample collection for determining the value of total suspension (traditional method) and nephelometric turbidity of water (laser method). Sampling was connected with the observations of water levels, for specifying the hydrological situation. The collected data were interpreted using basic statistical methods. Was found that the the Brda River is characterized by a low suspended sediments load. Observations turbidity of water was possible to determine temporary dynamics of suspended sediments and indicate the main source of the suspended material. Received in article data indicate that the compare methods are interchangeability.
