Abstract_ BangirejoTaman is a residential area for the employees of the Dutch colonial government (Amtenaar) located in Yogyakarta. The use of the word taman (park) behind Bangirejo in this residential area is to clarify the differences in the characteristics of this residential area with the surrounding settlements where the BangirejoTaman residential area is designed with a neighborhood park in the middle of the area. Researchers used an interpretive historical research approach to obtain the characteristics of the original spatial architecture including spatial planning, spatial planning, orientation, circulation, and relationships, and hierarchical space. These characteristics were obtained by carrying out a process of drawing spatial reconstruction in the colonial housing estate BangirejoTaman based on an analysis of the similarities and differences in the drawings of 7 residential planes that were selected using a snowball sampling approach. From the results of the analysis, it is known that the characteristics of the spatial structure of colonial residential buildings in the BangirejoTaman Area are designed primarily to meet the functional aspects. This can be seen from the separation between the core building (hoofdgebouw), and the service building (bijgebouw) which are both connected by a hallway. These characteristics are reinforced by the pattern of configuration and circulation of space in the core building and a single and simple service. In addition to fulfilling spatial functionality, the design of colonial dwellings in the BangirejoTaman Area also pays attention to space hygiene by placing core buildings and service buildings in the middle of the land in order to get enough sunlight, and the principle of cross ventilation can be applied. Keywords:  Colonial Architecture; Spatial Characteristics; Colonial House; Interpretive Historical Research

The data was collected using observation and in-depth interviews to the relaxant parties to research issues , such as: elder / community leaders, local community, and artisans involved in the manufacture of bamboo roof Data compiled and described in the form of words in sentences punctuated with images, either in the form of schematic drawings andphotographic images. According to the research, data was collected through interviews and obsen'ations' of the object are the primary method ofdata retrieval . Thisis based on the possibility of tracing the data that is written to be very difficult, because the most of the construction method used is a hereditaiy method and habits that are not inherited in writing. The data will be presented is about the kinds, types, methods and techniques of construction, and then analyzed and classified in accordance with their respective characteristics and types. Furthermore, it can be used as a basis for further research for the development of bamboo roofing construction systems for roof covering material

Recycled paper has many benefits, from saving woods to reducing carbon footprints. Industrialized recycled paper were mainly made in developed countries. These processes are using high technology and utilize chemical reactions and materials that can only be done in large factories. Meanwhile, paper are also used in developing countries. Newspaper is one of the mass medias that use a high number of paper. Printed newspaper are still used by the majority of people which they prefer rather than the digital newspaper version. This paper focuses in newspaper recycling that can be done in a home industry without high technology involved so that the people of developing countries could easily do it. The paper is broken into cellulose and then glued using tapioca starch. The recycled paper is formed as a panel for partition in a house. The recycled panel paper is put into the water to measure the resistance level. This experiment will help to understand the recycled panel paper strength against water. Recycling process in a home industry can be a part of green solution, especially in paper use. Through this experiment method research, it can be seen that recycled paper panel has a certain resistance level from water and may be used for partition panel.
