Kondisi Geologi Lingkungan di Wilayah Pesisir Sluke Kabupaten Rembang Provinsi Jawa Tengah
Rembang is one of the most strategic residence in Central Java Province. It is located in the Northern main road that is connecting West Java and East Java. The strategic potentials in Rembang residence are industries, mines, services and trading. Recently a PLTU plant and an early construction of some cement factories, such as PT. Indonesia Rembang in Sluke subdistrict. PLTU Rembang and Pabrik Semen Indonesia Rembang in Sluke subdistrict affected the geological condition in the area. This research aimed to know the lithological structure and the hydrooceanography process occured in the study area and their effect to the pysical condition the regarded area. A descrriptive-explorative method was used in this research. Primary data used in this research including water current, wave and basic sediment data. While the secondary data including bathimetry, topography, wind speed and direction, and tidal data obtained from Bakosurtanal and Dishidros. Base on those data and the mathematical modelling, the coast line dynamic was described. The result of the research showed that Sluke coastal area had land slope 15%. The lithology composed the land was silt with natural rocks composed of sand and limestone. The sediment in the surface coastal area was dominated by sand that contains shell. While the sediment in the deeper waters bottom composed of clay and silt. Abrassion occured in the study area affected in the vanishing of the path in the ricefields in the northern of PLTU Rembang, the collapse of the coconut trees and the damage of the wall in the government’s land in the north of PLTU Rembang.
Kabupaten Rembang merupakan salah satu Kabupaten di Provinsi Jawa Tengah yang sangat strategis, karena terletak pada lintasan jalur pantai utara Jawa yang menghubungkan antara propinsi Jawa Barat dan Jawa Timur. Potensi strategis Kabupaten Rembang adalah bidang industri, pertambangan, jasa dan perdagangan. Pada saat ini telah berdiri PLTU Rembang dan tahap awal pembangunan beberapa pabrik semen diantaranya adalah PT. Indonesia Rembang di Kecamatan Sluke. Keberadaan PLTU Rembang dan Pabrik Semen Indonesia Rembang di Kecamatan Sluke bepengaruh terhadap kondisi geologi lingkungan wilayah tersebut Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tatanan litologi dan proses hidrooseanografi yang terjadi di daerah kajian dan dampaknya terhadap lingkungan fisik daerah yang bersangkutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode diskripstif - eksploratif dari daerah studi dengan cara mengungkapkan kondisi daerah penelitian dengan aktual, akurat sesuai dengan fakta yang terdapat di lapangan serta pendekatan pemodelan matematis untuk menggambarkan perubahan garis pantai pantai. Data primer yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah meliputi data arus, data gelombang, dan data sedimen dasar. Sedangkan data sekunder berupa batimetri, topografi, angin dan pasut diperoleh dari Bakosortanal dan Dishidros. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Pesisir Sluke mempunyai morfologi dataran pantai dengan kelerengan 15 %. Litologi penyusun dataran tersebut adalah pasir lanau dengan batuan dasar berupa batupasir dan batugamping. Sedimen dasar pada tepi pantai didominansi oleh pasir dengan kandungan cangkang, sedangkan sedimen dasar di perairan yang lebih dalam berupa lempung dan lanau. Abrasi yang terjadi di daerah penelitian berdampak pada hilangnya jalan di sawah penduduk sebelah barat PLTU Rembang, robohnya pohon kelapa karena tanah tempat perakarannya terabrasi dan rusaknya dinding pelindung pantai pada lahan milik Pemda di sebelah barat PLTU Rembang
Analisis Dimensi Fraktal Kejadian Gempa Dl Laut Banda Indonesia
The Banda Sea region is an active earthquakes area which indicated by mean monthly incident of quakes more than 220. The condition is caused the area being located in the triple jucntion. Earthquakes system in this region which occur during September 2015 up to October 2016 is analyzed by fractal approach to investigate the subduction system.Earthquakes system is chaotic, so can be quantified using fractal concept. Quantify result of Banda Sea earthquakes system using Aki method is fractal dimension 2.08. It indicates that the slab was fractured by some fault in form an angle or upright possition with the subduction strike. Such a thing also be proven by the fact that the length zone of slab moved during each earthquake is not same, the variation is about 6 – 1,056 m. Based on the fractal analysis, also be identified that about 6.25 magnitute six earthquakes are expected each year. The result of study support the previous studies which propose that the tectonic system in Banda Sea region is very complex.
Kawasan Laut Banda merupakan daerah aktif gempa yang ditunjukan dengan kejadian gempa rata-rata bulanan Iebih dan 220. Keadaan ini dapat dimengerti mengingat kawasan tersebut merupakan pertemuan tiga buah lempeng yang bergerak. Pola kegempaan di daerah tesebut yang tejadi pada September 2015 hingga Oktober 2016 dicoba dianalisa menggunakan pendekatan fraktal untuk mengetahui pola subduksi di daerah tersebut. Pola kegempaan merupakan suatu kejadian yang chaos, sehingga dapat dilakukan kuantisasi berdasarkan konsep fraktal. Hasil kuantisasi pola gempa Laut Banda meggunakan metode Aki diperoleh dimensi fraktal 2,08. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa slab yang menunjam dan bergerak sehingga menimbulkan gempa terbagi dalarn beberapa bagian melalui suatu sesar yang menyududut / tegak lurus jurus subduksi. Keadaan ini dikuatkan oleh hasil perhitungan panjang daerah yang bergerak untuk setiap kejadian gempa tidak sama, yaitu bervariasi dari 6 – 1.056 m. Berdasarkan analisa fraktal tersebut juga diketahui bahwa gempa dengan magnitudo 6,25 akan terjadi 6 kali dalam satu tahun. Hasil penelitian ini mendukung hasil penelitian terdahulu yang menyatakan bahwa tatanan tektonik di daerah Laut Banda sangat kompleks

Prediksi Perubahan Arus Akibat Reklamasi pada Pangkal Breakwater Barat Pelabuhan Tanjung Emas Semarang dengan Pendekatan Model Matematik
Kebutuhan lahan dan dermaga, Pelindo III Tanjung Emas Semarang berencana melakukan reklamasi seluas 22,02 Ha menempel di sebelah barat pangkal break water barat pelabuhan. Daratan baru hasil reklamasi akan merubah bentuk garis pantai, maka dipastikan akan merubah pola arus yang selanjutnya berakibat pada pola transport sedimen dan sedimentasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempredikasikan pengaruh reklamasi tersebut di atas terhadap pola arus di perairan sekitar Pelabuhan Tanjung Emas Semarang, sehingga dapat dilakukan antisipasi dampak lanjutan yang mungkin terjadi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif denganpendekatan pemodelan matematis. Data arus diperoleh melalui pengukuran menggunakan ADCP dan data pasut diperoleh dari pengamatan palem pasut. Sedangkan data batimetri diambil dari data hasil pengukuran yang dilakukan oleh Pelindo III sebelumnya.Model hidrodinamika yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model POM (the Princeton Ocean Model) untuk kasus model 2D. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pola arus di perairan pelabuhan Tanjung Emas dan sekitarnya dipredikasikan tidak mengalamai perubahan yang signifikan dengan adanya reklamasi seluas 22 Ha di pangkal break water barat pelabuhan tersebut. Namun demikian arus menjadi sangat lambat hingga kurang dari 0,1 m/det tepat disisi barat lahan reklamasi sehingga berpotensi terjadinya sedimentasi di lokasi tersebut. Demikian juga tepat di sebelah timur lahan reklamasi, arus saat pasang masuk ke kolam labuh dengan kecepatan 0,2 m/det dan keluar saat surut dengan kecepatan 0,06 m/det sehingga berpotensi terjadi sedimentasi di sisi barat kolam labuhKata Kunci: Pelabuhan, Pelindo, Arus, Reklamasi, Tanjung MasPelindo III Tanjung Emas Semarang planned reclamation area of 22.02 ha on the west base of the west break water to Tmeet the needs of the land and pier. The research was conducted to determinethe reclamation effect to the current in the waters around the Tanjung Emas Port Semarang, so it can be anticipatted the continued impact that may occur. The method used in this research is quantitative method with a mathematical modeling approach. Current was measured using ADCP and the tide was observed by tide gauge While the bathymetric taken from data which measured by Pelindo III earlier. Hydrodynamic model used in this study is a model POM (the Princeton Ocean Model) for the case of 2D models. The results showed that the current in the waters of Tanjung Emas harbor and surrounding predicated not experiencing a significant change in the reclamation area of 22 hectares at the base of the break water west of the port. However, the current becomes very slow to less than 0.1 m / s in the west side of reclaimed land, so it potential occurrence of sedimentation in these locations. Likewise, just east of land reclamation, the current flows into the pond at a speed of 0.2 m / s and out with a speed of 0.06 m / s, so it potential occurrence of sedimentation.Keywords: Port, Pelindo, Currents, Reclamation, Tanjung Ma

Gender Dominance Portrayed in Indonesian ELT Textbook for Junior High School Students
In general, people view a man and a woman differently. Crawford
(2004)states that women‟s occupations are associated with their gentle and other
feminine characteristics, while men‟s jobs are related to their strengths and
masculinities. Thus, there is stillexistence of gender inequality practices in
society. Due to this, the gender issue is still important to be examined, particularly
in English textbooks. Because when there is inequality representation between
man and woman in the textbook, then it will contribute to slow down the process
of establishing equality among people. To minimize the gender bias portrayed in
ELT textbook, the researcher sketches out the literature in analyzing gender
dominance in ELT textbook, such as gender equality and its practices in
Indonesia, and gender equality materials in ELT textbooks.
Gender equality does not mean that women and men should become the
same, but that women‟s and men‟s rights, responsibilities, and opportunities will
not depend on whether or not they are born male or female. When gender equality
exists, a society equally values men‟s and women‟s similarities and differences.
However, the practice of gender inequality in Indonesia is found in many sectors
according to The Global Gender Gap Report, 2014.Almost in all aspects of life,
women are not much better than men. Due to this, the textbook plays a leading
role in making a mental image of males and females in society (Greshuny, 1977;
Kobia, 2009). As textbooks play a crucial role as the main reference which
supports and influence the whole learning activities especially for the students,
then a balanced portrayal of gender in ELT textbooks should be improved.
The gender dominance was analyzed including female/male pictures,
female/male mentioned, female/male roles, female/male games, and female/male
role models (Longsdon, 1985).In this study, the content of the English textbook
was analyzed through the representation of the images which contain gender
dominance by using visual semiotic of Roland Barthes which contain two layers
(denotation and connotation).The textbook analyzed was entitled BahasaInggris
When English Rings the Bell SMP/MTs Kelas VIII. There were five steps of
procedure analysis, they were identification, code, analysis, interpret, and
discussion.
The result of analysis based on Longsdon (1985) aspects, the findings
reveal that the textbook male dominated in three aspects consisting of
female/male pictures, female/male mentioned, and female/male roles, while in the
aspect of female/male games there was balanced number representation and in the
aspect of female/male role model, the representation of female was outnumbered
of male. From the visual semiotic analysis, the result of analysis demonstrated that
in the textbook selected in this study represented where man had more
opportunities in almost all aspects discussed, however the portrayal of woman was
appeared as having opportunity such as higher education in some aspects
analyzed.
In short, the aims of schools textbooks should reduce portrayal of gender
bias in society and culture. This would demonstrate both men and women that are
competent and can be equally good if both are provided with equal opportunities.
Furthermore, the researcher hopes that this study will be useful as information for
English teachers, textbook author, and other textbook analysts who want to
analyze another different textbook particularly in Indonesia
A TRANSLATION ANALYSIS OF COLLOQUIAL EXPRESSIONS IN THE CHILDREN’S S TORYBOOK ENTITLED THE SECRET LIFE OF MS WIZ BY TERENCE BLACKER
The focus of this research is the translation analysis of colloquial
expressions in the children’s storybook entitled The Secret Life of Ms Wiz by
Terence Blacker. The objectives of this study are to find out the types of
colloquial expression, to find out the translation techniques used by the translator
to translate colloquial expression, and to know the effect of the translation
techniques used on the quality of the translation in terms of accuracy and
acceptability.
This research used a descriptive-qualitative and quantitative method and
was designed as a single-embedded case study. It used document and informant
sources. Total sampling was applied to collect the data. The data were obtained by
using content analysis and questionnaire. In content analysis, the researcher
collected the data by selecting the dialogues among the characters containing
colloquial expressions. The data found were 247 data. The form of questionnaire
was a close-open ended. The questionnaire was distributed to three raters who are
translation experts.
The research findings from 247 data show that: (1) there are four types of
colloquial exp ressions found in the children’s storybook. They are 45 data of
single words, 2 data of clipped words, 191 data of contractions, and 9 data of
verb-adverb combinations; (2) there are eleven translation techniques found in the
children’s story book. They are adap tation (2 data), amplification (15 data),
borrowing (12 data), calque (43 data), generalization (one datum), literal
translation (27 data), modulation (12 data), reduction (137 data), deletion (15
data), transposition (29 data), and synonym (9 data); (3) the quality translation of
colloquial expression in the children’s storybook, The Secret Life of Ms Wiz, are
(a) from the accuracy point of view, there are 230 or 93.1% accurate data, 16 or
6.5% less accurate data, and one or 0.4% inaccurate datum. The average score of
the mean for accuracy is 1.08 meaning that the translation is accurate; (b) from the
acceptability point of view, 226 data or 91.5% are acceptable, 13 data or 5.3% are
less acceptable, and 8 data or 3.2% are unacceptable. The average score of the
mean for acceptability is 1.12 meaning that the translation is acceptable; (c) the
most accurate technique is reduction which contributes the major data (132 data)
of 230 accurate data. The least accurate technique is deletion which contributes
one inaccurate datum of one inaccurate datum found; (d) the most acceptable
technique is reduction which contributes the major data (135 data) of 226
acceptable data. The least acceptable technique is borrowing which contributes the
major data (7 data) of 8 unacceptable data.
This research can be used as an input for lecturers to give the
understanding about colloquial expression to the students. This research is
expected to give additional information for students, especially English
Department students, about colloquial expression that can improve their
knowledge. Hopefully, there will be further research of colloquial expression
SUMBER SEDIMEN DAN PERKEMBANGAN SEDIMENTASI RECENT DI PERAIRAN PANTAI SEMAT, JEPARA
The aim of the research was to identify the composition and source of base sediment in waters of Semat coast, and also to predict the development of sedimentation process. Field survey method was used in order to identify sediment distribution. To predict the sedimentation development was used granulometri and fades analized.
The result showed that litogenic sediment in the research area was about 20 % - 71 %, carbonate material was about 19 % - 76 %, and organic material was about 2 % - 5 %. Such a thing indicated that onland process was the dominant material supply for sedimenation process at the seashore. In general the course sand was distributed at near coastline and become fine in offshore direction. At the near mangrove, the sediment consisted of fine grain material. This condition was easy to understand because the mangrove can reduce wave attack, and also as source of organic material. The source of carbonate material was predicted come from corals debris in surounding area.
The result also showed that in Semat coast have been occurred accretion process. The data indicated that the process will be continue, especially in around of the Bunder River estuary.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi
penyusun dan sumber sedimen material dasar di perairan Pantai Swat, sekaligus memprediksi perkembangan proses sedimentasi yang terjadi. Metode survey lapangan digunakan dalam menentukan distribusi sedimen. Sedangkan perkiraam perkembangan sedimentasi digunakan metode analisa granulometri dan analisa fasies sedimenter.
Basil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sedimen lithogenik di daerah ini berkisar antara 20 % - 71 %, material karbonat 19 % - 76 % dan matrerial organik 2 % - 5 %. Hal ini menindikasikan bahwa proses onland sangat dominan dalam suplai material bagi proses sedimentasi di tepi pantai. Secara mama material berukuran pasir terdistribusi di dekat garis pantai, dan semakin jauh ke arah laut ukuran sedimen semakin halus. Pada daerah dekat mangrove hampir seinua sedimen berukurtan halus. Hal ini mudah dipahami karena keberadaan mangrove dapat berperan dalam memperkeeil energi gelombang, disamping juga sebagai sumber sedimen organik. Material karbonat yang ditemukan diduga kerns sebagai basil hancuran koral di daerah sekitamya.
Basil penelitian juga menunjukan bahwa telah terjadi proses akresi di daerah penelitian. Data yang ads mengindikasikan bahwa proses sedimentasi masih terus akan bcrlangsung terutama di sekitar muara Sungai Bundm
TEKNIK MEMBONGKAR PERTAHANAN VIRUS LOKAL MENGGUNAKAN VISUAL BASIC SCRIPT DAN TEXT EDITOR UNTUK PENCEGAHAN
Pesatnya perkembangan virus lokal belakangan ini yang terkadang menginfeksi komputer, menuntut harus mulai berfikir mengambil bagian tentang bagaimana cara pembuatan pencegahnya. Hal ini diperlukan, karena virus lokal terkadang sulit dideteksi oleh beberapa antivirus terkemuka, kecuali oleh beberapa antivirus buatan lokal yang kemudian dipublikasikan sebagai antivirus yang mampu menangani satu atau beberapa jenis virus lokal. Hal ini bisa terjadi mungkin saja disebabkan karena virus lokal bekerja tidak sebagaimana virus non lokal pada umumnya, sehingga keluar dari standar pencarian virus, contohnya saja jarang sekali virus lokal yang menginfeksi file exe atau file com atau yang lainnya, sehingga sangat sulit dideteksi sebagai virus atau bukan, kecuali ketika virus tersebut telah dilaporkan dan terdeteksi oleh pembuat antivirus, baru virus tersebut dapat diatasi, lagi-lagi tercipta asumsi bahwa virus selangkah lebih maju dari antivirus. Salah satu penyebab dari sulitnya mendeteksi virus lokal ini, karena hampir tidak ada bedanya dengan file biasa, apalagi virus ini juga menggunakan bahasa lokal. Satu sisi mungkin bisa berbangga, karena beberapa nama virus lokal merupakan bahasa Indonesia, dan telah menjadi nama yang berada di database daftar virus internasional. Kini saatnya mencoba membongkar pertahanan virus lokal secara manual, yang mungkin suatu saat teknik ini akan mampu menciptakan antivirus secara sederhana. Teknik membongkar pertahanan virus lokal menggunakan bahsa visual basic script dan teks edior mengacu pada target pengamanan beberapa bagian vital yang diinfeksi oleh virus, seperti registry, msconfig, sysedit, cmd, folder windows, system32 dan masih banyak lagi. Hal ini dimaksudkan bahwa dengan memahami teknik membongkar pertahahanan virus tentunya diharapkan mampu mencegah virus menginfeksi komputer lebih dini, hal ini sejalan dengan asumsi bahwa mencegah lebih baik dari mengobati
