Interpretation of polygamy verses in Q.S. An-Nisa '[4]: 3 is one of the Qur'anic texts which is often discussed by various interpreters of the classical to contemporary interpretations. Secondly, the era of modern-contemporary interpretation prefers to be understood as a monogamous verse rather than the concept of polygamy. This diversity has resulted in changes to the compilation of texts in varying difficulties and changes. This is caused by several factors underlying the compilers to internalize the text and complexity as a solution to answer the problems of the people. The focus of this study addresses three interactions: (1) Why changes in the interpretation of Q.S. an-Nisa '[4]: 3 studies of the era of classical to contemporary interpretations. (2) Factors underlying the transition of interpretation of the Q.S. an-Nisa '[4]: 3 Study of Interpretation from Classical to Contemporary Era. (3) Classifying the forms of interpretation of the classical to contemporary eras. This research is a research which is a descriptive literature research using historical-analytical studies. With this expectation the author tries to analyze the specific interpretation of the Q.S. an-Nisa '[4]: 3 in the interpretation of the classical to contemporary eras, then the writer will bring up the roots of thought about the interpretation of the Qur'an The results of this study indicate that, the shift in interpretation of polygamy verses in Q.S. an-Nisa '[4]: 3 in the interpretation of the classical, middle, moderncontemporary era that, the interpretation of the classical era tends to understand the Qur'an textually and root the system patriarchal culture. While the interpretation of the middle era interpretation is the development of an ideology and the interests of the mufassir in understanding the verse of polygamy. However, interpretations of the modern-contemporary era have shown the development of thinking structures and the emergence of various scientific approaches that are critically explored so that in understanding texts try to dialogue between texts with the social conditions of society. The study of gender issues along with the dynamics of the times has been in the spotlight, especially the reviewers of Islamic interpretation and thought, gender issues are getting hotter so that the implications are for commentators to continue to do ijtihad so that interpretations are in accordance with the text and context. The gender issue is specifically contained in the Qur'an Surah an-Nisā' (4): 3, where this verse often has different interpretations of the classical, medieval, and modern-contemporary commentators. Specifically, the medieval-classical interpretation tends to understand the verse as legitimacy and a commandment to practice polygamy. But on the one hand, modern-contemporary thinking reads the verse more as a monogamy command rather than on the aspect of polygamy. This diversity becomes a necessity which is certainly caused by several factors that are the background for these commentators. The purpose of this article is to try to analyze the causes of a shift in interpretation and the factors behind the occurrence of a shift in interpretation, especially Surah an-Nisā' 4: 3 from the perspective of classical, medieval, to modern-contemporary commentators. This research is a library research with an approach descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the medieval-classical interpretation of understanding the verse is due to the influence of patriarchal culture and ideology so that the text is often understood textually without dialogue between the text and reality However, the modern-contemporary interpretation of the verse does not refer to the aspect of polygamy even though it is essentially an order, but rather to the monogamous aspect, because contextual reading in understanding the text needs to have a dialogue by looking at its implications for social realit

Education is one of the efforts to develop intellect and build a character that is Qur\u27anic. In line with some previous thought research, a reconstruction of Islamic education has been carried out. However, in reality this is still ongoing to be carried out by some thoughts even to the Indonesian interpreter M. Quraish Shihab contributing to provide Qur\u27ani Values and contextualization through the QS Interpretation. Al-Alaq Verses 1-5 related to this education. Specifically in the interpretation can be formulated into several aspects, First, Educational Values in principle can never be separated from reading. Second, education in principle can direct the Islamic authority that is God, Education in principle is supported by a variety of models and learning methods, namely some Islamic approaches. Third The values of education in principle lead to the phosphitive thing that is insan al-kamil which is implemented and actualized in the education. The research approach is a literature study approach to find the concepts and values of education in al-Misbah\u27s interpretation and is supported by various references, articles, journals, books and so on. Thus, it can be concluded that the values of education that become an urgent subject in learning that is, reading, evaluating, having Islamic authority, providing examples and motivation in learnin

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

The term pluralism is an important problem which has a basis for developing Islamic education in Indonesia. Islam is the religion of rahmat lil alamin since its birth, Islam has been in the midst of other cultures and religions. This shows a connection, especially Islamic education as a civilization as well as the most important ladder in developing students first, in particular developing all aspects universally, namely teaching pluralism in instilling a diversity of mutual understanding between each other both in the context of tradition, culture, tribe, etc. Islamic education is not centered on the aspects of developing educational goals, educational methodologies, educational curricula. However, more specifically, namely implementing pluralism in Islamic education. Specifically, this paper tries to analyze the pluralism of Islamic education in Indonesia as a basic assumption in compiling the answers in this study. Thus, the basic values of pluralism are togetherness, an open attitude in accepting existing differences (mutual understanding), mutual respect, mutual help, the principles of freedom, justice, equality of rights and obligations, compassion, virtue, peace, openness to cooperate, so as to make a large contribution, especially to the social crisis. Demands for reform of the Islamic education system that create an anti-multicultural reality indoctrination tool that needs to be done in order to be able to create a peaceful, harmonious, human life order, and be able to adapt to various different groups but still inseparable from the roots of culture, religion, his identity, in a plural society as a complete human being (insan al-kamil)Istilah pluralisme menjadi persoalan penting yang mempunyai andil dalam mengembangkan dunia pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
