    Is Susila Budhi Dharma (Subud) a Religion?

    The government of Indonesia has recognized six offical religions based on certain categories by law. Susila Budhi Dharma known as SUBUD is not included as one of them. The debate on the inclusion of SUBUD as a religion has existed since its existance. This work attemps to explore the experience of SUBUD in dealing with the acknowledment both by people and the schoolars in religious studies and the discource on it. Richard King believes that Subud is a religion since there is mysticim in it (submission to God) with latihan kejiwaan. He may say that it is constructed like what laso is prascticed in Christianity. Subud is not a religious teaching claimed by Subud’s members but Subud is as a religion since the latihan kejiwaan is from God and appropriate with God’s will. In the discussion of Marxian, Durkheimian and Freudian, Subud is considered as a religion since it tends to promote dependance and can disturb economy. While in the views of both Weberian and Eliadean, SUBUD is considered as a religion because it is related to sacred intities and is traditonalism. The works suggests that deeper information would be beneficial for the people within religious studies to accommodate Subud as a religion based on theories in the field. Talal Asad’s theory can develop Subud terminology that it is as a religion since it is categorized as an organization that have structures of leaders and people. Indeed, Subud has proven to separate from the states for its growing and developtment in European countries and the USA

    IMPLEMENTING SIM-OVG MODEL IN LEARNING ECONOMICS AT SMA NEGERI 10 SAMARINDA

    The reason underlying the implementation of the present study was because there was a finding revealing that there were still several students from cross-economics class of XI MIPA having difficulties in understanding the lessons. In addition, the students also had a kind of thought that economics was just about memorizing things which was not interesting and challenging that resulted in their unsatisfied learning outcomes. Therefore, the SIM-OVG model needed to be implemented in the learning process. The instruments of the present study were observation and, students’ learning reports and work method. The population of the study was the second grade students (4 classes) who enrolled economics subject at SMA Negeri 10 Samarinda, whereas the samples of the study were the students of XI MIPA-1 class (cross-economics class) at SMA Negeri 10 Samarinda. The number of the population and samples was 101 and 23 students respectively. The study lasted for one semester. The description of the classroom observation, the students’ scores and the group presentation were obtained for the data analysis. After implementing the SIM-OVG model, the results showed that; 1) in the affective aspect, the students showed a better attitude, 2) in the cognitive aspect, there was an improvement on the students’ learning outcomes (before the implementation of SIM-OVG model in XI MIPA-1 class, 52,17% of the students did not reach the passing-grade, but after the implementation, 100% of the students reached the passing-grade, and they also looked enthusiastic in doing their assignments,  and 3) in the psychomotor aspect, the students became more skillful, creative, and be able to perform high level thinking. The researcher suggested that the dissemination should be done through MGMP forum and SIM-OVG model workshop. In addition, the researcher also suggested the integration of SIM-OVG model with other learning models and hoped that every school provided adequate facilities to support the implementation of SIM-OVG model

    LIVING IN HARMONY BETWEEN MUSLIM AND BUDDHIST: Comparative Study: Indonesia and Southeast Asia

    This article attempts to describe connection between Indonesia and Southeast Asia also India. First part, it describes Islam Nusantara as one of Islam Indonesian style. Islam Indonesia is very close with tradition, for example Islam Aboge, Islam Ammatoa and Islam Java/Islam Kejawen. Islam Indonesia have relationship with tradition that some scholars perceived it as indigenous religion. So, after that part it is followed by Buddhism Nusantara style because particularly Islam Java have strong encounter with Buddhist tradition. The study is descriptive and qualitative research. This research looks at how Muslim and Buddhist relation is preserved in Southeast Asia. This research was standing in Muslim-Buddhist relation framework. Simplicity speaking, this paper shows that Indonesia have connection peacefully with other countries such as India and Southeast Asia. Since Islam came to Indonesia in 12-15th century, Islam encounter with Hindu Buddhist tradition but Islam can develop and make one style of Islam Indonesia/Islam Nusantara such as Islam Ammatoa, Islam Aboge and Islam Java

It is established in 1990s. Twenty two years after establishment there is no violence or controversion but since 2013 the problem emerged.     Peningkatan Keterampilan Membaca Teks Eksplanasi Kompleks Dengan Model Membaca SQ3R

    Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini berlatar belakang kekurangberhasilan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia pada aspek keterampilan membaca " Teks Eksplanasi kompleks". Yang menjadi permasalahan adalah belum semua siswa mampu meningkatkan keterampilan membaca dengan baik. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dalam keterampilan membaca teks eksplanasi kompleks masih belum memuaskan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar, motivasi belajar dan sikap belajar siswa kelas XI dalam membaca teks eksplanasi kompleks dengan model membaca SQ3R. PTK ini dilakukan dalam tiga siklus di kelas XI MIPA 7 SMAN 2 Semarang Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 yang berjumlah 36 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes dan teknik nontes dengan melakukan observasi dan angket. Berdasarkan hasil tes pada siklus I, siklus II, dan siklus III dengan KKM yang ditentukan yaitu 75, dapat diketahui bahwa model membaca SQ3R dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca teks eksplanasi kompleks. Pada siklus I diperoleh rata-rata kelas sebesar 67,03 atau dalam kategori kurang, dengan rincian sebanyak 9 siswa atau sebesar 25,00% yang tuntas dan sebanyak 27 siswa atau sebesar 75,00% tidak tuntas. Pada siklus II diperoleh rata-rata kelas sebesar 77,86 atau dalam kategori cukup, dengan rincian sebanyak 32 siswa atau sebesar 88,89% yang tuntas dan sebanyak 4 siswa atau sebesar 11,11% tidak tuntas. Pada siklus III diperoleh rata-rata kelas sebesar 86,25 atau dalam kategori sangat baik yaitu 36 siswa atau sebesar 100 % tuntas. Peningkatan yang terjadi dari siklus I ke siklus III adalah 19,22 atau sebesar 53,38%. Selain itu, hasil observasi dan angket memberikan tanggapan baik setelah mengikuti pembelajaran membaca teks eksplanasi kompleks dengan model membaca SQ3R. Siswa merasa lebih memahami isi bacaan teks eksplanasi kompleks. Oleh sebab itu, guru dapat menerapkan model membaca SQ3R dalam pembelajaran membaca teks eksplanasi kompleks.Kata Kunci: Keterampilan Membaca, Teks Eksplanasi Kompleks, Model Membaca SQ3R

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan tanggung jawab dan prestasi belajar mata pelajaran Pkn melalui model Index Card Match di kelas IV SDN Karasgede, kecamatan lasem, kabupaten rembang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas sebanyak 2 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV Karasgede yang berjumlah 22 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, angket, tes dan dokumentasi. Adanya peningkatan tanggung jawab siswa yang ditunjukan dalam setiap siklusnya pada sikap tanggung jawab siswa siklus I pertemuan I diperoleh 4 siswa mencapai kategori sangat baik dengan presentase 18,18%, siklus I pertemuan II diperoleh 19 siswa mencapai kategori sangat baik dengan presentase 81,82%, siklus II pertemuan II diperoleh 19 siswa mencapai kategori sangat baik dengan presentase 86,36%, siklus II pertemuan II diperoleh 2 siswa mencapai kategori sangat baik dengan presentase 90,91%. Hasil penelitian prestasi belajar siswa dengan jumlah nilai pada siklus I 1420 dengan klasikal ketuntasan prestasi 63,63% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 64,54, pada siklus II prestasi belajar siswa dengan jumlah nilai 1810 dengan klasikal ketuntasan prestasi 86,36% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 82.27. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Index Card Match dapat meningkatkan sikap tanggung jawab dan prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, pengumpulan data dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. data yang terkumpul dari teknik tersebut di analisis dengan menggunakanreduksi data, penyajian data, danverifikasi data. Keabsahan data diperoleh dengan menggunakan triangulasi sumber.     Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Penerapkan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif  Struktural Think Pair Square apakah menunjukkan peningkatan hasil dan aktivitas belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII.2. Metode Penelitian adalah tindakan kelas atau Classroom Action Research. Hasil Penelitian terjadi peningkatan jumlah peserta didik yang mencapai hasil belajar pada ulangan harian I menjadi 28% dan selanjutnya terjadi peningkatan pada ulangan harian II menjadi 94%. lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru dan peserta didik terlihat bahwa proses pembelajaran proses pembelajaran semakin membaik.     This research is motivated by the low results of the teacher competency test which is a reflection of the low teaching performance of teachers in Indonesia, which of course is related to the low HDI and the Education Development Index or the Indonesian Education Development Index in UNDP and Unesco research monitoring.
