FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF PHARMACEUTICALY STABLE SERUM OF DUCHESNEA INDICA (ARBENAN)
Objective: Arbenan (Duchesnea indica) plants contain saponins, flavonoids, and tannins which have antioxidant activity. The purpose of this research is to perform formulation and evaluation extract ethanol of Arbenan leaves in the form of serum which is pharmaceutically stable.
Method: Arbenan leaf powder was macerated with ethanol solvent, and then left for 3-4 days while stirring repeatedly, and then filtering. Furthermore, the liquid ethanol extract that has been obtained is evaporated using a Rotary Vacum Evaporator was used to evaporate the extract. Prepared extract was used to evaluate various parameters like organoleptics, homogeneity, viscosity, and pH.
Result: All formulations were having typical smell, light brown color and a little thick consistency. Formulations of leaf extract of Arabenan with four variations bases have shown to have good stability after stress condition. It can be seen from the evaluation result are organoleptics, homogeneity, viscosity, rheology, and pH.
Conclusion: Study concludes that a stable leaf extract of Arabenan can be effectively formulated into a serum by the means of various bases.

Aktivitas Antiinflamasi Ekstrak Etanolik Daun Arbenan [Duchesnea indica (Jacks.) Focke]
Arbenan leaf is a medicinal plant that used in the healing of inflammation. The content of phenolic compounds, flavonoids, steroids and tannins contained in arbenan plants which play an important role in alternative medicine. Currently, scientific work of phytotherapy is an important alternative route in finding effective natural medicines with minimal side effects. The aim of this study was to determine the phytochemical properties and to determine the anti-inflammatory effect of arbenan leaf [Duchesnea indica (Jacks.) Focke] extract. In this study, nine male Wistar rats were tested in three treatment groups. Group I Na CMC, group II Na diclofenac and group III arbenan leaf extract. Inflammation in rats by inducing 1% carrageenan as much as 0.10 mL. The volume of edema per hour is known from the difference in the volume of the foot at certain hours with the volume of the normal foot. The AUC value of edema volume was calculated by the trapezoid method every one hour and the percen of anti-inflammatory power was calculated. The statistical analysis of the Least Significance Different (LSD) AUC value from the edema volume data showed that the two treatment groups, namely the Na diclofenac and the arbenan leaf extract group, were significantly different from the Na CMC group (P <0.05). So that both treatment groups have anti-inflammatory effects. The results showed that the ethanolik extract of arbenan leaves contained phenolic compounds, flavonoids and tannins. Then the ethanolic extract of arbenan leaves has anti-inflammatory activity of 0.31%
SKRINING FITOKIMIA DAN PENETAPAN KANDUNGAN FLAVONOID TOTAL EKSTRAK METANOLIK HERBA BOROCO (Celosia argentea L.)
Phytochemical Screening and Determination of Total Flavonoids Content of Methanolic Extracts of Boroco Herbs (Celocia argentea L). Boroco plant is often used as a traditional medicine for anti inflammatory, diuretic, hypertension, dysentery. Chemical constituents in boroco herbs (Celocia argentea L.) are alkaloids and flavanoids, glycosides, tannin and saponin (2003) . Each sample extraction using 96 % methanol of maceration method. Then performed to determine the class of phytochemical screening of active compounds are contained in the sample. Determination of total flavanoids done by chang et al method (2002) of Boroco herbs. Result of the study showed the total flavanoids content of methanolic extract of boroco herbs calculated as a rutin for 2.57%
Toxicity of Standardized Ethanolic Extracts from Duchesnea indica (Jacks.) Focke Plants Using the BSLT Method
Duchesnea indica (jacks. ) focke., known as a medical plant that is used as raw ingredients for traditional medicines and herbs to increase the immune system because plants have the properties to cure and prevent various diseases. The objective of this study is to examine the quality of the duchesnea indica leaves extract by standardization method of specific and non specific parameters as well as the toxicity assay using using the Brine Shrimp Letality Test (BSLT). The results of specific parameter research include the identity of extracting duchesnea indica, Organoptic tests form extract samples that are used to extract thick, It's brown, Typical smell, astringent taste. The content of water soluble compounds is 18.67%, the content of ethanol soluble compounds is 0.03%, based in phytochemical screening test, the duchesnea indica leaves extract contain phenolic, flavonoid, tannin, Saponin and terpenoid. Non-specific parameters carried out include loss on drying of grounded Duchesne indica leaves at 0.029%, loss on drying of DuchesneA indica leaves extract at 0.026%, specific gravity determination at 0.83%, extract water content determination of 2.15%, total ash content is 3.70%, non-soluble acid of ash content is 1.32%. Thus, from these results, we can conclude that Duchesne indica leaf extract meets quality standards for extracting raw materials that can be used for traditional medicine. ANALISIS POLA PENGOBATAN TRADISIONAL DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN OBAT BAHAN ALAM DI KECAMATAN MALUNDA KABUPATEN MAJENE
Tumbuhan berkhasiat obat sudah banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat indonesia sebagai pengobatan alternatif utama suatu penyakit dan masyarakat mempercayai bahwa obat tradisional mampu mengobati penyakit berat hingga ringan. Penelitian ini tujuannya untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tanaman yang digunakan untuk obat tradisional serta cara pengolahan, cara penggunaan dan nilai use value (UV) di masyarakat Kecamatan Malunda Kabupaten Majene. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dan memanfaatkan metode kualitatif serta penentuan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling serta didapatkan 25 responden. Hasil penelitian mengenai tanaman obat yang dipakai oleh Masyarakat di Kecamatan Malunda Kabupaten Majene diperoleh 24 jenis tanaman mampu mengobati 13 jenis penyakit. Bagian tanaman yang paling rutin dimanfaatkan yakni daun dengan persentase (57%), cara pengolahan yang paling rutin dilakukan yakni direbus dengan persentase (71%), kemudian cara penggunaan yang paling sering digunakan yakni diminum dengan persentase sejumlah (81%). Dari hasil perhitungan nilai use value (UV) yaitu tumbuhan berkhasiat obat yang paling banyak dimanfaatkan yakni kunyit (Curcuma domestika L.) dan sirsak (Annona muricata L.) dengan nilai use value (UV) masing-masing adalah 0,2.

KAJIAN ETNOFARMASI DENGAN PENGGUNAAN TANAMAN OBAT TRADISIONAL DI KECAMATAN TANRALILI, KABUPATEN MAROS, PROVINSI SULAWESI SELATAN
The study of ethnopharmaceuticals is a scientific approach that can assist in exploring the knowledge of the local tribe towards traditional plants that are efficacious as medicine and still rely on or use plants as medicine. This study aims to determine the use of medicinal plants which include the parts of the plants used, processing methods and usage methods. The method used in this research is purposive sampling method. The results of the study obtained as many as 42 species spread into 28 and have 3 plants that have frequency values, Use Value (UV) and percent of plants including soursop, kaposanda and papaya plants and the lowest values are bandotan, chicken dung, cinnamon, gedi, tapak liman plants used by the people of Tanralili sub-district, Maros district as traditional medicine. The conclusion is that the level of knowledge related to the use of traditional medicinal plants tends to still use and utilize and as an alternative treatment.This plant has the highest parameter of frequency 28, Use Value (UV) is 0.28 and plant percent is 11.97% on soursop plants and has the lowest value with a frequency value of 1, Use value (UV) is 0.01 and percent of plants namely 0.43% on bandotan, chicken dung, cinnamon, gedi, tapak liman and sweet potato plant
IDENTIFIKASI DAN PENETAPAN KADAR SILDENAFIL SITRAT PADA JAMU KUAT LELAKI YANG BEREDAR DI KOTA MAKASSAR
A studies have been conducted identifying and determining the levels of sildenafil citrate in men vitality herbs that marketed in twon of makassar. This study aims to determine the presence of drugs chemicals substances (BKO) in men vitality herbs that is sildenafil citrate with TLC–Densitometry method. Herbal samples extracted using methanol solvent. Identification test by thin layer chromatography (TLC) using a mobiloe phase of chloroform – ethanol (9.5 : 0,5) indicates that the herbal sample were compared with comparator compounds contains sildenafil citrate. Assay done using a TLC-Densitometry at a maximum wavelength of 292 nm. The results showed levels of sildenafil citrate in men vitality herbs was 0,00827 g/100 g or 0,00827 % per capsule.Key Words : Identifying, Determining, Sildenafil Citrate, Men Vitality Herb
PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN MINYAK AROMATERAPI PADDINGING
Abstrak: Analisa situasi masyarakat Desa Paddinging, mayoritas masyarakat bekerja sebagai petani dan hanya memanfaatkan hasil tani sebagai mata pencaharian. Masyarakat tidak lagi memiliki kegiatan keseharian selain bertani oleh sebab itu membuat minyak aromaterapi memiliki peluang besar yang dapat dilakukan ibu PKK bahkan kedepannya jika rutin dan terorganisir bisa menambah pendapatan masyarakat desa. Program ini bisa membantu meningkatkan pengetahuan warga untuk mengolah jahe dan sereh menjadi minyak aromaterapi. Dengan demikian tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pelatihan dasar cara membuat minyak aromaterapi. Pelaksanaan program kerja dilakukan dengan metode pendekatan, diskusi, pelatihan dan praktek lapangan. Langkah-langkah program telah terlaksana dan mencapai hasil sesuai yang diharapkan yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan minyak aromaterapi berbahan jahe, sereh, kayu manis dan cengkeh yang di beri label “Minyak Aromaterapi Cap Paddinging” sebagai obat pegal-pegal, meringankan sakit kepala, melancarkan peredaran darah bahkan antinyamuk. Pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pembuatan minyak aromaterapi sebagai kelompok sasaran dilakukan melalui pendekatan, diskusi, pelatihan dan praktek lapangan membuat minyak aromaterapi Cap Paddinging.Abstract: Analysis of the community situation of Paddinging village, the majority of people work as farmers and only utilize the crops as a livelihood. People no longer have daily activities other than farming because it makes aromatherapy oil has a great opportunity that PKK mother can do even in the future if routine and organized can increase the income of village people. This Program can help increase the knowledge of residents to cultivate ginger and lemongrass into aromatherapy oils. Thus the purpose of this community devotion is to provide basic training on how to make aromatherapy oils. Implementation of a work program is done by approach method, discussion, training, and field practice. The steps of the program have been carried out and achieved the results as expected is the training and mentoring the making of aromatherapy-based oils ginger, lemongrass, cinnamon, and clove labeled "Aromatherapy oil Cap Paddinging" as medicine aches, relieves headaches, blood circulation even mosquito repellent. Community empowerment in the manufacture of aromatherapy oil as a target group is done through the approach, discussion, training, and practice of the field making aromatherapy oil Cap Paddinging
Optical character recognition feature implementation in cooking recipe mobile application using tesseract google project
Development of cooking recipe application is not a new topic in this time, many available cooking recipe mobile application that serve in the developer application store that available for user to use it as their cooking assistant. But as the author literature review result, the available cooking recipe application only serves the user the common features, like: show the list of recipes, search the recipe by the ingredient or by the title of the recipe. In this research the author intent to combine cooking mobile application technology with Optical Character Recognition technology by Implementing OCR feature in the cooking application as the additional feature that can be used in searching recipe(s) by using their camera to capture a new image or by simply choose the existing image. The development of the application is using tesseract Google project as the library for supporting the development of this application. and in the end of the research, the author will conclude whether text recognition feature that implemented in cooking recipes application could help the user in searching recipe or no
