The Influence of It Governance and It Capability on The Performance of Private Higher Education Institutions: The Mediation Role of Performance Management Systems
No full textThis study examines the effect of information technology (IT) governance and IT capability on the organizational performance of private Higher Education Institutions (HEI) with a performance management system as a mediating variable. This quantitative study uses primary data from questionnaires distributed to respondents online. Respondents in this study were 270 management and IT management of private universities on the island of Sumatra. This study used a sample of 90 private HEIs. Furthermore, the data was processed using Partial Least Square (PLS) technique. The results are that the performance management system partially mediates IT governance with organizational performance, while IT capability mediates fully with organizational performance. IT capabilities can encourage organizational performance through a good performance management system. Theoretically, it contributes to implementing technological resources mobilized in the performance management system to improve college performance. College management should consider developing technology and performance measurement systems to achieve sustainable competitive advantage
The Effect of Medical Managers\u27 Accountability To Managerial Performance: The Role Of Commitment As Mediating Variable
No full textResearch Objective: This research aims to test the felt accountability of medical managers who have a hybrid role in improving managerial performance, through commitment as a mediating variable.
Method/approach: This research is survey research using questionnaires distributed directly to respondents. The data obtained consisted of 460 medical manager respondents from Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) and Pratama Clinics. Sampling used purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using structural equation models.
Results: The research results show that medical managers who have a sense of accountability or responsibility for their managerial work will be more motivated to improve managerial performance through their commitment.
Practice implications: Its importance for complex organizations such as Healthcare. Specifically, this research offers insight into organizational support for hybrid identity constructs, such as a doctor taking on the role of medical manager.
Originality/novelty: Research on felt accountability is still rarely carried out, especially in developing countries like Indonesia
Disruptive innovation disclosure practices: Do board characteristics, ownership structure, and investor matter?
Get PDFResearch aims: This study aims to analyze the effect of board characteristics, ownership structures, and investors on disruptive innovation disclosure in the annual reports of companies in Indonesia.Design/Methodology/Approach: This study used 237 cross-section data from 237 companies in the manufacturing sectors. The dependent variable in this study was obtained by analyzing the content of the company's annual report. The hypothesis in this study was then tested using multiple linear regression.Research findings: The regression test results revealed that foreign ownership affected the disclosure of disruptive innovation in manufacturing companies. Other variables, such as characteristics of the board of commissioners, members and investors, did not affect the disclosure of disruptive innovation in manufacturing companies.Theoretical contribution/Originality: Disclosure of disruptive innovation is rarely done, but this study looks at disclosure from the stakeholder theory perspective in manufacturing companies.Research limitation/Implication: This study was only limited to manufacturing companies. Meanwhile, other companies are expected to be studied in further research. In addition, more observation data can be added to strengthen the research results
Determinants of Investment Decisions in the Capital Market During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Get PDFResearch aims: This study aims to determine the effect of herding behavior, accounting information, and information technology on investment decisions through investment interest during the COVID-19 pandemic.Design/Methodology/Approach: Using the purposive sampling method, this study used a sample of investors who had just invested in the Indonesian capital market during the COVID-19 pandemic. This quantitative study employed primary data based on questionnaires distributed to respondents via the internet. Respondents in this study were 241 investors. Hypothesis testing in this study utilized SEM-PLS analysis through the SMART PLS 3.0 application.Research findings: The results showed that herding behavior did not affect investment decisions through investment interest in the capital market during the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, accounting information and technology information influenced investment decisions through investment interest in the capital market during the COVID-19 pandemic.Theoretical contribution/Originality: The study results contribute to the literature (body of knowledge), especially as additional discussion toward theory and literature related to herding behavior, accounting information, and information technology on investors decisions through investment interest to invest in the capital market, which is still very limited
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
