No full textDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Comunicação e Expressão, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras/Inglês e Literatura Correspondente, Florianópolis, 2007The aim of the present study is to analyse how issues of Albanian national identity are portrayed in Ismail Kadaré's novel Broken April (Prilli i Thyer), and how such features have been appropriated and translated onto the screen into a Northeastern Brazilian context. I depart from the premise that, even though Brazilian elements are indeed shown in the film, the non existence of the Kanun in Brazil, and the use of narrative techniques different from the ones employed in the novel render the story of the blood feuds in the film more universal than the genuinely Albanian reality depicted in the novel. In sum, the appropriation transcends the Albanian reality into a universal context, showing, at the same time, elements which are typical of the Brazilian culture.O objetivo do presente estudo é analisar como questões sobre a identidade nacional Albanesa são retratadas no romance Abril Despedaçado (Prilli i Thyer), de Ismail Kadaré, e como tais questões foram apropriadas e traduzidas para a tela num contexto Nordestino-Brasileiro. O estudo parte do princípio que, embora elementos tipicamente Brasileiros sejam mostrados no filme, a não existência do Kanun no Brasil, e o uso de técnicas narrativas diferentes das empregadas no romance ajudam a deixar a história das brigas de família no filme com um aspecto mais universal do que a realidade genuinamente Albanesa representada na romance. Em suma, a apropriação transcende a realidade Albanesa para um contexto mais universal, sem deixar de mostrar também elementos típicos da cultura Brasileira

No full textThis study aims to model the relationship between honey quality and honey purchasing. To reach theaim of this research honey consumption patterns are investigated. The location of the study wasKırklareli and the convenience sampling method was used. Data were collected by questionnairemethod. Structural equation modelling with partial least squares method was used to identify therelationship between honey quality and purchasing. A significant relationship was found betweenhoney quality and honey purchasing, but the honey quality perception of the participants showed adifferent outcome. Brand names and warrantees on the labels had no impact on honey qualityperception. This finding indicates that there is a very unique approach that honey marketers shouldbe taking when it comes to selling honey.Bu çalışma, bal kalitesi ile bal satın alımı arasındaki ilişkiyi modellemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacına ulaşmak için bal tüketim yapıları da gösterilmiştir. Çalışmanın evreni Kırklareli'dir. Kolayda örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Veriler anket yöntemi ile toplanmıştır. İlişkiyi tanımlamak için kısmi en küçük kareler yöntemiyle yapısal eşitlik modellemesi kullanılmıştır. Variations on the Author
No full text“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

No full textKoloni Çökme Bozukluğu (CCD) olarak adlandırılan küresel bal arısı koloni kayıplarının bir numaralı sorumlusu ektoparazitik akar olan Varroa destructor gösterilmektedir. Bal arılarının karşı karşıya olduğu bu sorun yakın zamanda dünyanın ekolojik dengesini de bozabilecek bir tehdit olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Uzun zamandır Varroa'ya karşı organik asitler, insan sağlığını da tehdit eden kimyasallar, esansiyel yağlar ve mekanik yöntemler kullanılmaktadır. Ancak, tüm bu uygulamalara rağmen istenilen sonuçlar elde edilememiştir. Yapılan araştırmalar, bazı bal arısı kolonilerinin diğerlerine göre belli hastalık veya zararlılara karşı daha yüksek düzeyde direnç veya duyarlılık gösterdiğini ortaya çıkarmıştır. Genetik temele dayanan direnç mekanizmalarından biri de tımar davranışıdır. Gerçekleştirilen tez çalışmasında, Türkiye'de yaygın olarak kullanılan bal arısı ırklarından; Anadolu (Apis mellifera anatoliaca), Kafkas (Apis mellifera caucasica), Karniyol (Apis mellifera carnica), İtalyan (Apis mellifera ligustica) ve Suriye (Apis mellifera syriaca) ırkları materyal olarak seçilmiştir. Bu bal arısı ırklarını temsilen 20 adet işçi arının Varroa destructor'a karşı tımar davranışı tepkilerinin in vitro koşullarda belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Buna göre, literatürde bal arılarında tımar davranışı ile ilişkili olduğu bildirilen 3 aday genin (Nöroksin-1, Ataksin-3 ve Atlastin) ifade miktarları araştırılmıştır. Seçilen aday genlere özgün primer çiftleri ve SYBR Green floresan boya kullanılarak gerçekleştirilen RT-qPCR (Ters Transkripsiyon-kantitatif Polimeraz Zincir Tepkimesi) yöntemiyle moleküler düzeyde tımar davranışı belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre; fenotipik olarak 5 bal arısı ırkı arasında tımar davranışı bakımından istatistiksel bir fark bulunamamıştır. Tımar davranışı ile ilgili aday genler olan Nöroksin-1, Ataksin-3 ve Atlastin genlerinin ifade seviyeleri, ırklar arasında anlamlı farklılıklar göstermiştir. Fakat tımar davranışının ilgili aday genlerin ifade seviyesi ile ilişkisi olmadığı saptanmıştır. Gen seviyesinde tımar davranışının bal arısı ırkları arasında ilk kez karşılaştırıldığı bu çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre tımar davranışı ile ilgili daha fazla moleküler çalışmaya ihtiyaç duyulduğu görülmektedir
