It was evidenced by the increase of student learning motivation after action (cycle I and cycle II). The high learning motivation was accompanied by the increase of students\u27 learning outcomes after the action where the average score of 81.61, 42 students (95.45%) and the student learning outcome before the cycle was on average of 70.58 with 13 students (34.21%), 1st cycle average learning outcomes was 77.45 with 30 students (78.95%) and increased in the second cycle with an average of 85.34 with 35 students (92.11%
PENGARUH INTEGRASI NILAI-NILAI ISLAM MELALUI PENDEKATAN IMAN DAN TAQWA (IMTAQ) PADA HASIL BELAJAR SISTEM REPRODUKSI MANUSIA DI MAN 2 KOTA BANDUNG
Basically, education is a structured and systematic pattern that aims to improve human civilization, including biology teaching which is expected to contribute to the improvement of student behavior. Therefore, it is necessary to integrate religious values as an important part in biology lessons. This research aims to know the effect of applying faith and taqwa (IMTAQ) approach to Biology learning in improving meaningful learning, with learning outcomes in the form of conceptual mastery and affective improvement. The research was conducted by using quasi experimental method, which is expected to describe phenomenon, occurrence, and causal relationship as the impact of integritation value of religious on biology subjects in the school of MAN 2, Bandung. In the research focus, it is assumed that teachers have the ability to integrate general science materials with Islamic values. The results showed that the integration of Islamic values through IMTAQ approach can improve the process and the students learning outcomes, significantly. Used of this approach can also improve teacher performance with three reasons; 1) learning time more effective and efficient, 2) learning more focused on analysis of study of general and religious knowledge, and 3) learning activities more controlled. Through this model, the acquisition of learning outcomes has increased the mastery of significant student concepts, as evidenced by the increasing grade of students of class XI IPA from pre-test (36) and post-tests (74) results, with N-Gain 0.58 (medium category). The average post-test score indicates that 80% have reached of KKM (70), whereas affective indicator is 4.24% (high qualification). This study demonstrates that the integration of Islamic values through an approach of faith and taqwa in biology learning can improve the meaningfulness of learning, and similar concepts can be implemented in other subjects and other schools
Relationship Between Learning Style With Student Learning Outcomes on Structure and Function of Plants
Learning styles can make students learn easily, fun, meaningfully that will improve their learning outcomes. This study aimed to determine the correlation between learning styles and students learning outcomes in online learning about structure and function of plant. The correlation test method was used and samples were chosen using simple random sampling, consisting of 68 students in class VIII SMPN 2 Pangkalpinang. The data were collected using interview, questionnaire, documentation methods, and analyzed by Pearson product moment correlation test. The results showed that about 72% students in class VIII SMPN 2 Pangkalpinang tended to have a visual learning style and 75% with completed learning-outcomes. The correlation test indicated that there was no significant relationship between learning styles and their learning outcomes, by evidence and determination value of 0.111 more than 0.05 and 3.8% simultaneously. There is no correlation between learning styles and learning outcomes, presumably because learning styles only contribute 3.8% in which other 96.2% were determined by other factors such as teacher motivation and teaching strategies. However, although there is no correlation, learning styles still contribute to students learning success. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct further research related to other factors that may affect student learning outcomes
KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF SISWA PADA SISTEM PERNAPASAN MELALUI PENERAPAN TEAM GAME TURNAMEN (TGT) BERBANTU MONOPOLI
The background of the research is based on the problems related to learning of sciencethat is less emphasizing in the creative thinking abilities of students, so students have difficulty topolish their ability to solve the problems in learning. Teachers must be able to create newinnovations in learning that can enhance students\u27 creative thinking abilities. This study aims todetermine the effect of the monopoly-assisted TGT learning model in students\u27 creative thinkingabilities on respiratory system material. The method which is used is a Quasi-Experiment, with acontrol group pretest-posttest design and sampling techniques with simple random sampling. Theresearch sample is taken from class VIII-C as a control class and VIII-D as an experimental class, each of which has 30 students using the creative thinking skills test instrument, observation sheet, and student questionnaire responses. Improving students\u27 creative thinking skills using themonopoly-assisted TGT model on respiratory system material obtained an N-Gain value 0,61 in themedium category. The effect of the monopoly-assisted TGT model on students\u27 creative thinkingabilities with the t-test shows that tcount (8,07)> ttable (2,00), means that there is a significantinfluence between the experimental class and the class control. The conclusion of the study is thatthe use of the monopoly-assisted TGT learning model in learning has an effect on increasingstudents\u27 creative thinking abilities on the material of the human respiratory system
The Utilization of Cajuput Leaf Waste as Organic Fertilizer on Plant Tomatoes Growth and Development
AbstractThe annual production of cajuput oil in Indonesia can reach 88,607 tons. This has implications on the accumulation of the waste. One of the efforts to reduce the amount of cajuput waste is to use this waste as organic fertilizer. This study aimed to determine the content of C, N, P, and K of cajuput leaf waste fertilizer and their effect on the growth and development of tomato plants (Lycopersicum esculentum L.). This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with P0+ treatment (EM4 fertilizer); P0- (no fertilizer); and treatment with the ratio (%) of cajuput leaf waste fertilizer: chicken manure, including P1 (100:0); P2 (75:25); P3(50:50); P4 (25:75); P5(0:100). The results showed that P2 treatment had a higher content of N-total (2.82%) and C-Organic (44.28%) with a C/N ratio of 15.70%, directly proportional to the results of the best vegetative growth response, indicated by a plant height of 125.75 cm, stem diameter 0.665 cm, and the 15.75 number of leaves. The P2 treatment was considered to have the best for tomato plant development by producing fruit sizes (diameter; length) up to 3.40 cm; 3.49 cm with a weight of 20 g.AbstrakProduksi tahunan minyak kayu putih di Indonesia bisa mencapai 88.607 ton.
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
