    INVESTIGATION OF MACHINABILITY OF COOLED MICROALLOY STELL IN OIL AFTER THE HOT FORGING WITH COATED AND UNCOATED CBN CUTTING TOOLS

    WOS: 000454526700016The aim of this study was to investigate the cutting forces and surface roughness of 38MnVS6 microalloyed steel quenched in oil following hot forging. The machinability tests were carried out by turning under dry cutting conditions using coated and uncoated cubic boron nitride (CBN) cutting tools at five different cutting speeds (120, 150, 180, 210 and 240 m / min), a constant feed rate (0.04 mm / rev) and a constant chip depth (0.6 mm). The microalloyed steel used in the experimental study was optically examined and a hardness test was applied. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to evaluate the wear on the cutting tools. The findings for the 38MnVS6 steel which was oil quenched after forging showed that due to the high cooling rate, a martensite structure had been formed and the hardness value was high. The lowest surface roughness values of 0.367 mu m and 0.164 mu m were obtained at a cutting speed of 180 m / min with the coated and the uncoated CBN cutting tools, respectively.     Investigation of Different Training Methods Integrated Into Soccer Training on Body Composition and Athletic Performance

Erdem/0000-0003-3143-5982; Turkmen, Mustafa/0000-0003-3152-9495Background and Study Aim The aim of the study is to investigate the effects of 8-week core and plyometric training on body composition and athletic performance in young male soccer players. Material and Methods 24 young male soccer players participated in the study voluntarily. The subjects were randomly divided into three separate groups: Core training group (CTG), plyometric training group (PTG) and control group (CG). In addition to soccer training two days a week for 8 weeks, the training was applied to the subjects according to the training programs determined. Physical measurements (Height, Body Weight, Body Mass Index, Fat Mass, Lean Mass) and performance measurements (Vertical Jump, Horizontal Jump, Plyometric Jump, 20 m speed, Agility) were made 8 weeks before and after the study. Subject's measurements were analyzed in the SPSS 22 program. Results The largest percentage and significant difference in agility, speed, vertical jump and plyometric jump parameters was obtained in PTG, while the largest percentage and significant difference in horizontal jump parameters was obtained in CTG. While no difference was found in speed and agility performance in CTG; there are significant differences in jump performance but these differences are lower than the other experimental groups in terms of percentage difference. On the other hand in body composition, a significant change was observed only in the height parameter in PTG. Conclusions If a faster improvement is desired in the determined athletic performance parameters in a period of eight weeks in soccer, it may be recommended to prefer core and plyometric trainings in addition to branch training

The heavy metal levels found in tissues varied for Cd: 0.04-0.27, Co: 0.04-1.89, Cr: 0.29-2.01, Cu: 0.30-29.7, Fe: 34.9-1.80, Mn: 0.42-7.11, Ni:0.43-2.03, Pb: 0.23-3.58 and Zn: 7.16-68.5 mg/kg wet weight. The values of all metals in muscles of the analyzed fish were found to be below the established limit values.     Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.     “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Comparison of the Heavy Metal Concentrations in Atlantic Horse Mackerel, Trachurus Trachurus, from Coastal Waters of Turkey

The analyzed fish samples were collected from different locations in the Black, Marmara, Aegean and Mediterranean seas. The heavy metal concentrations in tissues were significantly affected by sampling sites (p<0.05). Iron showed the highest levels in both tissues from all locations, followed by Zn. In all locations, the heavy metal concentrations in livers were higher than those in muscles. In addition, the differences between the heavy metal concentrations in tissues were statistically significant (p<0.05). Heavy metal levels in tissues were compared with national and international permissible limits.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
