Teachers’ perception toward character education of early childhood education
Character education must be started from an early age through formal and nonformal education. The perception of the teacher to a science taught is very important. The aims of research are : (1) analyzing teacher’ perception towards character education in Early Childhood Education in Sunyaragi Village and (2) factors that influence character education in Early Childhood Education in Sunyaragi. This study used qualitative descriptive. The objects of this research were Play Group Annisa, Persil and Pelangi Sunyaragi. The techniques of data collection are Interview and observation; (a) Interviews are conducted to early chilhood teachers as many as 12 teachers, and (b) Questioner and (c) Observations are carried out to observe, know all activities organized by all components. To obtain accurate data, the researchers used data analysis techniques presented by Miles and Huberman namely: (a) Data Collection (b) Data Reduction, (c) Data Display , and (d) Conclusion (Drawing and Verifying ) The results of the study are (1) The teacher's perception of character values taught in the education process in Early Childhood Education Playing Group Annisa, Pelangi and Persil Sunyaragi are considered good, and (2) Factors that affect character education in Early Childhood Education are inhibition factors and supporting factors
Challenges in Teaching Literature in an EFL Context (A Case Study of Indonesian Students)
The significance of literature in language learning has grown considerably. This is particularly true in the context of English as a Foreign Language (EFL), where it is recognized as a valuable tool for enhancing English skills. Nonetheless, the focus on teaching English literature for its intrinsic value rather than solely as a means for language acquisition is limited, especially in Indonesia. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the teaching of English literature to EFL students in Indonesian high schools. Specifically, the study aims to investigate the criteria employed by English literature teachers in selecting literary works, identify challenges faced by teachers when instructing EFL students in English literature, and examine the strategies they employ to overcome these challenges. The research entails a case study involving a teacher instructing two distinct English lessons at a senior high school in Indonesia. The findings reveal the following: Firstly, the primary considerations for selecting literary texts include factors such as length, language complexity, canonical status, and the author\u27s cultural background. Secondly, challenges encountered encompass reading habits, English proficiency, and the availability of resources. Consequently, this research underscores the potential for further exploration within the realm of teaching English literature to EFL students in Indonesia, with the pursuit of effective instructional models being a noteworthy avenue for future investigation
UNRAVELING STUDENT INSIGHTS: QUIZIZZ IN ENGLISH LEARNING AT A VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN CIREBON
Along with the times, the use of technology in learning becomes dominant. One alternative online learning tool that can be utilized is Quizizz. This research examined how students view the incorporation of Quizizz for English learning. Student perceptions were utilized as a metric to gauge the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process, as well as to assess the methodologies employed by educators. The success of teaching and the learning process is significantly influenced by students\u27 perceptions. By understanding these perceptions, educators can better grasp students\u27 learning requirements and tailor their teaching approach accordingly. Consequently, the students perceptions can influence their motivation in learning English. Thus the interactive online media was chosen in order to increase their enagagment throughout the learning journey. Furthermore, the qualitative case study was designed for this study by spreading questionnaires and conducting interviews to collect the data. The Likert Scale was employed for data analysis. The subjects involved were 11th-grade students from a vocational high school. The results of this study revealed that students have a positive perception towards the utilization of Quizizz. Quizizz was a fun and interesting web-based online learning that was easy to use and encouraged students’ motivation toward the leaderboard and display. Hence, utilizing Quizizz positively influenced students\u27 perspectives. Quizizz serves as a viable web-based alternative for online learning and facilitating the acquisition of essential 21st-century skills
THE STUDY OF SUSTAINABILITY ON ISLAMIC EDUCATION SUBJECTS IN THE ISLAMIC KINDERGARTEN AND ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
Homogenity in the students’ ability, not only facilitates teachers in managing the class, but alsoease the students in doing the tasks. Accordingly, it was considered necessary to conduct a study on sustainable curricullum toward Islamic subjects at schools starting from kindergarten level students who will continue to Islamic based Elementary Schools.The study took place in Cirebon with survey method applied. Descriptive analysis was implemented to analyze the school’s vision and mission, graduates competencies and teaching method. Based on the survey in accordance with the school vision and mission, toward the sustainability of Islamic Education Subjects (PAI) among kindergarten and elementary graduates, it can be concluded as follows: 1) Kindergarten Schools consisted of Public Kindergarten and Islamic Kindergarten; 2) Islamic Kindergarten graduates who continued the study to Islamic Elementary schools were able to complete learning processes smoothly, whereas public kindergarten graduates experienced to the contrary especially Islamic education subject; (3) The nature of Islamic Education subject (PAI) particularly tahfidz Quran, recitation on the prayers and practical worship taught at Islamic Elementary Schools (SDIT) weremore readily practiced by the Islamic Kindergarten graduates on account of accostumed to routine activities instead of the Public Kindergartens.

FUNGSI PRAPERADILAN SEBAGAI LEMBAGA KONTROL HORIZONTAL DALAM SISTEM PERADILAN PIDANA
Pre jurisdiction is a new institution that function as the horizontal control toward the performance and the duty of legal upholder, in this case, the investigator and general accusatory. The case formulation has been emerged by the author in this legal writing is "whether after the presence of pre jurisdiction institution has really functions as horizontal control in the process of legal jurisdiction. In this writing, the author used normative legal research method, i.e. the literary study focused on the norms and also supported by the field research. Base on the result of this research, the pre jurisdiction institution only has authority to evaluate the validity about the pledge, caught, ending the investigation, the ending of accusation, the submission of substitution of detriment and also rehabilitation. Pre jurisdiction has no authority to conduct investigation as conduct the calling of the accused in doing criminal action. Thus, the conclusion could drawn is the pre jurisdiction institution that formerly valid in the system of the procedure of criminal less functions as the horizontal controller institution in the system of the procedure of criminal. Pop-up book on fractions materials: enhancing on problem-solving skills of grade v
Abstract
The aim of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of a pop-up book on the topic of comparing fractions, gauge students\u27 responses to the pop-up book, and analyze the book\u27s effectiveness. We employed the ADDIE model and used an R&D method for this research. Data collection methods included interviews, questionnaires, pre-tests, and post-tests. The results of our study indicate that the feasibility of the pop-up media for comparing fractions, as assessed by material experts, was 82%, media experts 84%, and language experts 80%, thus falling into the category of being suitable for use. The pre-test average score of students was 63.33, while the post-test average score was 69.33. The validation results and student scores demonstrate that the pop-up book has successfully enhanced problem-solving skills in fifth-grade students.
Abstrak
Penelitian yang kami lakukan bertujuan untuk menguji layaknya produk buku pop-up pada materi membandingkan pecahan, mengetahui respon siswa mengenai buku pop - up, dan menganalisis keefektifan buku pop–up. Jenis penelitian yang kami gunakan yaitu model ADDIE dan menggunakan jenis metode R&D. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, angket, pretest, dan posttest. Data penelitian yang sudah kami lakukan dapat dijelaskan bahwasanya kelayakan media pop - up materi membandingkan validasi ahli materi mencapai 85%, ahli media 84%, dan ahli bahasa 80%, sehingga masuk kedalam kategori layak digunakan. Adapun hasil nilai pretest siswa sebanyak 950 dan posttest siswa sebanyak 1040, jika di rata - rata kan nilai hasil pretest siswa 63,33 dan rata - rata nilai posttest siswa 69,33. Hasil validasi dan hasil nilai siswa menunjukan bahwa buku pop-up telah berhasil dalam mengembangkan kemampuan siswa kelas V SD dalam memecahkan masalah
Examining The EFL Students Motivation at The Vocational High School of Tourism During The Process of Online English Learning
Learning motivation can determine the result of students' online learning by several factors, namely internal and external factors (from within students) and external factors (from outside students). The purpose of this study is to determine the internal and external factors that affect students' learning motivation in class XI AKP 2 SMK Pariwisata Kota Cirebon in online learning. This qualitative descriptive research collects the data from questionnaires and unstructured observations interviews. The questionnaire used in this study was 21 questions; unstructured observation and unstructured interviews. The results obtained from the questionnaire show that the internal factors that can affect students' learning motivation in online learning consist of four indicators, namely Interests, Needs, Attitudes, and Intelligence, with percentage values ​​of 74.6%, 55.6%, 79.5%, and 77.8%. External factors that influence students' learning motivation in online learning consist of three indicators: the Family Environment, School Environment, and Community Environments, with the percentage values ​​of 80.2%, 62.5%, and 75.7%.  
Exploring the Impact of Group Work on Students' Learning Outcomes: A Study in Eighth Grade of Junior High School
Increasing student involvement and academic accomplishment in junior high school, especially in the eighth Learning in junior high school, particularly in the eighth grade, can be challenging. The group work method, which is thought to be successful in encouraging cooperation, active engagement, and enhanced student learning outcomes, is one strategy used to solve this problem. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of group work and determine its impact on English learning outcomes for grade VIII students. The research used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews. The results showed that students responded positively to the group work method, which helped them understand the material and complete tasks through interaction and cooperation. In addition, group work increases students' learning motivation and cognitive engagement. However, the effectiveness of this method is affected by the internal dynamics of the group, such as participation, commitment and discipline of the members. The results of this study reveal differences in participation patterns between female students who tend to be more active than male students. Supporting factors for the success of group work include friendship relationships, leadership, and active communication, while the use of cellphones is a significant obstacle. In conclusion, the group work approach improves English learning results, but it should be noted that successful group management is crucial to its success. The study's findings show that female students participate differently than male students, who are generally more active. While camaraderie, leadership, and active communication are supportive characteristics for group work performance, cell phone use is a major obstacle. In summary, group work techniques improve English learning results, but their effectiveness depends heavily on good group administration
FRAMING THE ROHINGYA CRISIS: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF NEWS MEDIA DISCOURSE IN INDONESIA AND MALAYSIA
This research examines the framing of the Rohingya crisis in Indonesia and Malaysia through A Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) of two online newspaper stories, one from every country. The study uses appraisal theory to examine the attitudinal resources (emotion, judgement, and appreciation) employed in the articles in order to better understand how they may change public perceptions of the Rohingya. The analysis shows significant differences in how the crisis is portrayed by the two media outlets. The Indonesian article takes a positive and humanitarian stance, emphasizing Indonesia\u27s commitment to global refugee protection and expressing concern for the well-being of Rohingya refugees. In contrast, the Malaysian article represents a shift towards a restrictive and nationalistic approach, highlighting concerns about national interests and depicting the Rohingya as a potential threat. Although the articles acknowledge the shared challenges faced by refugees, they also expose the complexity of regional responses to the Rohingya crisis and the divergent perspectives adopted by Indonesia and Malaysia. This study contributes to the understanding of how media discourse shape’s public opinion and influences ideological perspectives on international events
ANALYSIS OF TRAINING NEEDS FOR STUDENTS COLLEGE IN CIREBON CITY
Training is needed to create superior human resources. This is, of course, done by analyzing training needs. The urgency of this research is to look at the analysis of training needs for students. Training needs analysis also aims to analyze the gap (differentiation) between expected and actual competencies according to needs and developments. The fundamental difference between this research and previous research is that it focuses on training design and methods, while previous research only focuses on analyzing the training carried out. This research uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. The results of this research analysis of training needs include preparation, guidelines, references, and objectives of the training program. It is hoped that the things described above will answer the training needs of students in Cirebon. In order to become superior human resources, they can contribute significantly to the development and progress of the city of Cirebon. Of course, the author reminds us that there is a need for synergy between formal education institutions, the government, and institutions with good credibility to collaborate in organizing this training
